What happened, I believe, is that the xeno heard/saw her torching the panel but the AI had an aneurysm and didn't attack her then, but it remained in some sort of bugged aggressive state after BaibaIRYS here entered the vent, causing it to pathfind around where she crawled and to instantly attack her as soon as it registered her as exiting the vents. So yes, BS, seems like a bug. And honestly, the xeno seems to behave more weirdly in general these days than I remember it doing when the game came out; when Calli and Bibi play, it is VERY active and leave them almost no room to maneuver at all (although thankfully it is almost completely blind on Easy) which leads to a lot of time camping in closets
I think it might have something to do with the AI model for the Alien. If the Xeno sees' you hide in a closet for example it will ALWAYS find you in that closet until a checkpoint reset. If the Xeno doesn't see you hide in the same closet but, you stay hidden there for too long it will still find you even if you hid before the Xeno entered the "hunting" phase of it's AI model. Basically, the way the Xeno's AI works is by having two brains: one that always knows where you are, and the main brain that works off cues in the game (noises, sight etc.) the brain that knows is constantly feeding info to the brain that doesn't know, and the brain that doesnt know is "hunting" based off the brain that knows information. EX: on easy, you could hide in a closet the alien didnt see you hide in for lets say 5 minutes but, eventually the alien will start checking closets and find you despite it having no way to actually know you were in a closet. On hard, you could hide in the same closet but the alien might find you in two minutes because the alien's senses are better, and the brain that knows tells the brain that hunts where you are more info more quickly.
There is no animation for the alien attack while doing the ion torch minigame so it bugs him for the duration until you either exit the vent or interract wiht a vent blocker.

Watching vtubers play Alien Isolation is pure entertainment. Because they have zero self-awareness almost at all times. Dunno why that is the case, but that seems to hold true for Irys & Calli.
@chronilya Nah man, they both have zero sense of awareness to even progress through the levels. Chat is constantly screaming at them on things they've walk over or missed. But that's what makes it so fricking funny.
Yep, they are spending half their time looking at chat, checking their phone and most importantly yapping. In Calli's case she had to manage keeping the gremlin in check as well 😂
They have to entertain and play at the same time. For some games that don't require a lot of focus it's probably easier to play effectively while still chatting. This probably isn't one of those for a lot of people.
I played Isolation myself just recently. I immediately went into the options to increase the FOV. For whatever reason it's set to 47 by default. Immediately maxed it to 75 (I think). I see Irys is playing at the default FOV and it looks really bad.
"Is the ion torch loud??" she shouts over the buzz of the ion torch
Ironically, no, in-game, I think the torch is completely silent. 🤭
@@roadent217 You're 100% right. Walking, however, is like setting off a bomb.
@@Unethical.FandubsGames Running is, at least.
You still can, and should, walk around everywhere if you're not _too_ close to the Alien.
IRyS picking the worst possible time to exit the vents.

That is BS. Several hard mode play throughs under my belt, and I've never seen that happen before. Yeah, BS.
"the most advanced A.I" 😂

Might have avoided that by remembering the motion tracker.
That was unlucky asf, lmao.

Maybe it's hard to play and stream at the same time.

NOBODY EXPECTS THE XENOMORPH
I liked the screaming part 😂
dont think she was raging at all...
IRyS is my fave man. Well her and Bae are my faves. They're both so lovely and funny.

Maybe the devs set it that way for a reason?
low fov is so painful lmfao
so close to 4:20 lmao
How tf do you have an alien as a channel icon but not know how to spell xenomorph correctly?
Good clip though
IT WAS LIKE 4AM LMFAO
Different type of alien. You might be racist tbh.
