Thank you for an unbiased view. As one of the lazy 9-5ers going out for lunch every day, ive been gaining weight and spending too much at my new job. I love spicy foods so ill give that one a one time shot and go from there. You posted this video about 30min after i first found out about these so perfect timing. cheers!
Good video man. I totally thought you were a huge channel, you’ve got that vibe down. Was very surprised at the views, this deserves more! I see you blowing up if you keep at it
Thanks man!! Hopefully I'll get there, I think the hard part with my channel is it's a huge variety channel, where RUclips likes channels that niche down. But at some point I can see things popping off 🎉
I agree, price is silly, especially considering it probably costs them under 50 cents to make a cup of this (flavor powder and noodles + cup) - BUT.. Where I work in Boston, I'm lucky to get a fast food lunch for $12 here without a drink, and $15-$20 for a real lunch so in that context its cheap. Also the only flavor id want is the spicy noodle option and that seems like the best flavor, so I might give this a flyer and stock a few in my work desk for those days I cant get a proper lunch..
I'm gonna be real, it costs more than 50c it has 20-40% of almost every vitamin, none of the foods here contain vitamins naturally. The included vitamins probably cost at least $1 plus 50c for the food then packaging and shipping and then advertisement costs. It probably costs them $3 per unit to bring this to market.
It’s crazy I actually just tried Korean beef noodles and chick’n alfredo. The beef noodles to me were bad being honest but I’ll give them another try since I still got a few cups of course. The Alfredo was BOMB but I also was hungry hungry when I had it. Regardless it was good enough I was about to make 2 cups back to back before dinner time. I’m curious how the other noodles taste now. Overall I will say they are an expensive option so I may not get them consistently except to have as a quick last option where I can’t cook etc. I do love the fact that vitamins etc are high.
The price does suck but I really need something quick and easy for lunch at work. Thank you for your honesty man! I’ll give it a try anyway. I’m desperate. Can’t spend 20 bucks on lunch every day. And I really don’t have the time to cook 😂😂
These are five dollars per serving if I go to fast food I'm probably going to spend at least eight dollars and even if I buy microwavable meals at the grocery I'm going to spend over five dollars per day for something that is nowhere near as healthy. I'm almost through my first bag of powder and it was pretty good I'm gonna try a different flavor this time hopefully I'll like it better. With the nutrition that they list, I can't get that at fast food, especially for this cost
So, I just select the 10 week subscription and immediately cancel after checkout. Then I order $120+ for an extra 10% off then I have a coupon code for another %15 and this gets me to 32 cups for S121. Basically, its a free box for jumping through some simple hoops. That is 105 calories per $1, which I feel anything over 100 cal per $1 is acceptable. It's hard to eat at taco bell for that if you get anything that not garbage. Healthy Choice frozen meals don't taste much better and can be more expensive per calorie. However, I probably wouldn't order the cups either. I would just get the instant pouches, make some powder shakes and the cost is pretty reasonable for something that isn't (or shouldn't) send you to an early grave with heart disease.
Maybe overpriced in your area but a cup of noodles or top ramen is almost the same price once you figure in taxes not to mention gas to go to the grocery store.
The spicy one is ridiculous spicy, i had to have a cup of milk to finish and ended up with my hair completely wet. Gave to a friend and he tossed, could not eat half, it was too spicy. Im done with Huel
This would be a great replacement for backpacking freeze dried meals which are very expensive already. I wish it was not so expensive! I really wanted to find a quick healthy meal for my teen instead of those horrible Pasta Roni's or Top Ramen meals that shouldn't be classified as food! With all healthy foods your going to have to pay way more money, that's why Americans are so overweight and unhealthy. With inflation it's way more difficult to eat healthy. Our family of 3 now spends $1000 a month to eat organic, none GMO, pasture raised, grass feed.... I suppose it's better than paying doctors/hospital bills and feeling miserable!
I agree. Way overpriced. I would love to know what their markup is. To be that much different from Raman, admittedly not anywhere near as healthy, seems ridiculous
@@MarcFreccerothe shown vitamin numbers are wayy too high for this to not have vitamins added to it. Between the powdered vitamin supplements, the hard to source low calorie ingredients plus the constant ad campaigns this company runs, I can't imagine this company is even turning a profit right now. Mostly banking on creating a big enough brand to be able to lay off on the advertising campaigns.
Thanks for the video. Their website is horrible. Lacks so much information...like how much food you get in one of these. I've eaten similar products and I'm not full with 1 container. Sounds like it's not worth it so it doesn't matter.
I wanted to try these until you went over the price. Absolutely not, and they should be embarrassed for trying to scalp customers like that. Lost my faith in them. Greed destroys all eventually. I personally don't care how it tastes. If I know I'm overpaying for something that shouldn't be overpriced, I wouldn't be able to zombify myself and pretend to enjoy it.
WAYYYYY too much Sodium. Ok, maybe half of what other instant noodle products have, but too much for one serving. The sodium is all there for the flavor. I get it. But high sodium is a leading cause of so many health issues.

Perfect timing then! Glad to help
its rare to see someone praise a brand, but not like every product and keep it real with viewers
yea I'm a massive fan of Huel but I always like to be honest in all my videos

Glad to help!

Same here in the bay area. 6 bucks for lunch isn't possible.

Y’all never heard of bringing lunch from home, huh? 😂
I really appreciate the review!

Good review, honest and straight to the point and detailed.
Thanks! Glad to help

I was interested until I visited their website. Way to expensive. for those reasons I'm out.
Bro acting like it’s shark tank lol 💀
@@opens11 🤣
lol I love this 😂
How is 24 meals for 117 a month too expensive? 🤔 McDonald’s is like 11 bucks a meal that’s over 200
@@blakeblends that's why I don't eat ick Donald's.
They are not so pricey in Germany but I really wonder if it can replace a whole meal. Looks so small.
damn dude perfect review. love your honest opinion!

great video. you deserve more subscribers.
Thanks! And slowly on my way there
When i spend $90-120 a week for healthy shopping at the store, i would rather so this then spensing my day off meal prepping
Thanks for doing this review.. They had my interest peaked. Are there onions in these things?
no problem! And unfortunately I'm not sure :/
Sunflower oil, sunflower oil powder, corn startch, flaxseed oil… pass
Heating stuff in a plastic cup?
I get the Huel powder. I stick to what works.
Very nice video. But definitely not worth 10 to 12 times more, than a 55¢ ramen noodle cup would be.
Thanks! And yea I feel the exact same way
@@MarcFreccero Thanks for your reply, I’m just curious, is there any actual protein in this Huel? (or is it just a flavor of meat, in these meals)
@@MikeCee7 There's 22g of protein, but it is plant based protein - pea protein.

for me I loved the spicy one, then again I'm obsessed with spicy food

100% - that's why I feel taking it when camping or something would be perfect
What’s the shelf life?
I just checked and the ones I bought expire on September 4th, 2024. So my guess is 8-ish months
Thanks man
No prob!
No thanks , over priced ramen noodles 😂
39.60 for 8 cups?!?!? Spicy ramen bowls are like 1.50
and probably taste better as well.

So this is a rich person's Ramen noodles, right?!

“Good amount of food” excuse me???😅
So, we’re going to skip the fact the product name sounds like someone vomiting or dry heaving? Think about.
I always just think of Huell from breaking bad haha
Extremely overpriced. Nope

That’s why you need to drink a lot of water and workout to compensate
