Do you have a case in it? I like big watches too and 44mm is perfect but I will definitely be putting a cover on it. I don’t want it bigger than 44mm with a case. In other words I don’t want it too big.
I tried both and I prefer the 40mm. I think it looks better on me since I have smaller wrists. It's also very light, so I hardly even notice it's there. That's a personal preference though since I know some people like heavy watches.
I have a 6.75 inch wrist and rotate a 36mm Rolex explorer, 36mm Rolex datejust and a 41mm omega SMP. The Omega is at my limit size wise. Bought the 44mm Apple Watch for the screen size and it really is way too big. The big watch fad is over. Buy the watch the fits your wrist. Most people with wrists under 7 inches should buy the 40mm.
I just came back to say upgrading to the 44mm that I have been using all of 2 days now. And I’m wondering how in the world did I manage with the smaller size for a whole year. 44mm is certainly easier on my eyes to read and my fingers to maneuver the screen. I am in LOVE!!!😏
I’ve got a tiny rist but I still got the bigger one because I find the smaller one just a bit small to use and I find it more satisfying and a better experience on the 44mm
I returned my 40 for a 44 it’s huge yes but let’s face it an Apple Watch looks funky either sizes you have it ! It’s a very tech product and the bugger the better for me lol 😂 I have a super Tiny wrist
I have been reading and watching reviews and yours was definitely the most helpful. I want the big display because theres more to see but i can see by how big the watch is on you that it would be huge on my small wrist lol. going for the smaller one! ive always had a smaller sport watch because the big ones felt too big and uncomfortable on me and the smart watch will probably feel the same way if i get the large one.
That’s my situation. The 44 my hubs got me was wayyyyy to big. I’m so tiny. I always had the 38. I now want bigger but I want the 42. 40 wont have me feeling like I upgraded much. Wish they had the 42 in series 5. Also like the ecg so I’m not going for 3 series just for the 42 even though I want to. ECG is mandatory for me. . Sooo. Series 5, 40mm it is for me.
G”day CJ, I have the 44mm Apple Watch series 4 with the sports loop band. I love this band and would never change it. Love your videos Bro. I”m holidaying in Spain, so a big cheers from Madrid. 🇪🇸 🇦🇺
Good review. I usually associate weight with quality on top of that i really wanted gold so ended up going with the 44mm SS GLD I was skeptical about the small wrist thing but i think i'm going to appreciate the bigger screen size because i also where spectacles lol
When I bought my series 4 over the summer, I went with the 44mm SS space grey because I’m tall guy with big hands. When comes to watches in general smartwatches or normal watches, you go by what you feel is most comfortable and stick with it. My grey rhino shield bummer and blue rim should be coming today, and the new midnight blue Apple band will be coming tomorrow. 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥
Switching from FitBit Versa to my first Apple Watch, I went with the Stainless Steel 44mm. It was STUNNING but SO DANG HEAVY. I liked the size of the watch on my wrist, but what bothered me was how the bands fit; I have a small wrist so the bands kind of stuck out from my wrist and made it fit/look weird. If the straps attached differently I could stick with the 44mm but for now, the aluminum 40mm is for me.
I want the Apple Watch and have watched tons of videos trying to decide since I am a woman which size....and color and your video is by far the very best and most informative/helpful of all of them. THANK YOU...
Nice video! Just ordered the 44mm aluminum 5 for myself and my girlfriend the 40mm aluminum 5. If she ends up liking the bigger screen better, then will return hers for the bigger screen. She will probably like the bigger screen, but with her tiny figure she will probably like the look of the smaller watch when its on her wrist. Thanks for the detailed review, you know ur Tech! Got that like hit and will subscribe ✌️
She kept the smaller one. Glad that i ordered the smaller one for her because the smaller size definitely looked better for her wrist compared to my bigger sized one
I just can't let go of my series 3 42mm size, which to me is the perfect size. 40 looks too small, 44 too big. I only wish I had the screen real estate that the newer ones do since the square screen of the series 3 looks outdated compared with the newer, round-edged screens.
@A Z I did but returned it because it looked too small. So I finally just decided to get the SE 44mm and I’m really happy with it. The series 3 was just getting too slow.
Hey, the 44mm does not look too big on your wrist, but I am afraid that it will on mine. So what is the length around you wrist? So that I can compare it to mine.
Thanks for the input. Got myself an Apple Watch 44mm and ordered the rhinoshield frame + rim from the provided link in the description. Ohhh, and of course the sports loop. Cheers!
Man I still got the series Zero stainless steel lol! Not about the money at all. I’ve just been waiting on the addition of health sensors which look like we may be getting in series 6. Other than that, my current watch has done just fine. That’s not to say that the new ones aren’t nice, I just want a really big jump in tech from what I have. With the Apple Watch, I most like will be on a 5 year upgrade cycle. Time for me to upgrade!
I totally agree with you! I’m a girl and my 5 is a 40mm. I originally thought the larger would be too manly. After using my 40mm I am like no I need a bigger screen. I also wear glasses so thanks to Apple trade in my 44mm is due today!!! I also agree those rubbery bands sucks. I immediately changed mine to something softer and they were from Amazon for $11 because I refuse to pay $40 bucks or more for just an Apple band. I ordered a different one for my 6!😏 Got my case guard from Amazon too 2 for $6 😂
I have the series 5 aluminium, and I’d love to have the stainless steal but I bought apple’s Milanese loop, and I can already feel a heftiness added to the watch. I’m a fairly active person and I sleep with my watch on, so that’s why I hesitate to go for a stainless steel.
I need mine to be built like a tank. This one I think is the oldest one. It is stainless, ceramic bottom and true sapphire crystal. I slammed it on cement.
