Love when you show quilt patterns in a variety of fabrics. It is so inspirational to see the options. It’s a great idea to show a variety of patterns using the identical fabrics. Showing the digital images is so helpful.
Thank you so much for doing the computer mock up of the quilts. It really makes a difference between seeing a stack of fabric and seeing the end result.
Can you do a program on how to keep organized cutting the fabrics, the segments, and strip assemblies? I use little plastic baggies right now but with some patterns it can be confusing. Is there a better way?
Hi Suzanne! Yes, we use plastic baggies as well when cutting up and assembling the quilt top. We can definitely make a video about how we like to organize them. 😊
Thank you for explaining how the blocks are put together. For a beginner like me, they look a bit challenging but you make it look so easy. All of the alternate color fabrics look beautiful.
Please, please always do the digital imaging in future when suggesting alternative fabric! It makes such a difference to people like me who have little “imagination” when it comes to using different fabrics🤗
I love the Fandango pattern. It is so clever how you put that friendship star in there. I am so impressed! Thanks for showing how to put directional fabric into the triangles to be sure they are right.
Love love love this video! I so enjoy seeing patterns in different fabrics. Highlights how versatile they are. And I want it all, but I have to restrain myself. Eventually I will make all of them. I’m off to buy your new book for starters. And maybe break down and buy the red white and blue for a Quilts of Valor! Great job guys!
It’s amazing how different the different fabrics make the patterns look! Fantastic video! Absolutely loved the digital images. It really helps me visualise what it will look like. I think that part of my brain is missing. Really enjoyed this video. Thanks Fran.
Hi Fran I was wondering if the "moon and stars" with the black background, was a glow in the dark fabric? That would be just amazing! You could leave that throw out the entire month of October.
Joanne, on our website we sometimes have extra fabric available from that kit. When we do the manufacturer & bolt info will be listed. Hopefully that helps a bit. We use so many fabrics every week that it is difficult to provide all of that information at the moment.
Hi PJ! We use Electric Quilt 8 here at Fabric Café. It takes quite a bit to set up, however, we are working on an easier solution that we want to share with everyone soon!
I would love to see a video with Tula Pink fabrics.I want to actually see the characters in the fabric not chop them up and not see what they are? I have 10 of your books.I’m making Stellar this week 😊
Yes Tula fabrics need to be kept in large pieces. I have just used them as large rectangles and framed them in a gallery to highlight them. One of Donnas earlier patterns. Good luck👍🇦🇺
