Hello Fran I love watching Fabric match maker. To see all of the recipients have their fabric issues evaluated and resolved. All of the fabric you chose were very nice, looking forward to the next video.
I am so happy I found your RUclips :) love your books I recently purchased the quilt pattern ( of course I can't remember the name) is the beautiful patriotic quilt with the flying geese in a circle. Anyhow I love it I have read through it and am cutting my fabrics... I was also excited to see your new line of 5 yard quilts :) love the tutorial FRAN is darling :)
You’ve just reminded me of a beautiful large scale print fabric I bought years ago: huge tulips🌷 on a black background. I normally think those 3-yard fabric quilts are too small, but the ones like ‘United’ could easily be enlarged by just adding more focus fabrics and sashings. I’m pretty sure I bought 1.5-2yards of the stuff, so all I need to find in my stash is the same length of fabrics that read as solids in complementary colours for fabrics #2 & 3, and something suitable for the backing. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the Matchmaker segments. I was happy to see Enchanting used. I just finished that pattern and thought I would send a photo of what I did. Not yet quilted but it's ready to go.
Would love to see a video on how to take a pattern like the hearts one and figure out how to make it into a wall hanging. Like, how to calculate how much fabric is needed to do that, etc. 😀
I would love to see a video making Quilts of Valour with selections for both Canada and the United states. Look foreward to your videos every Tuesday and Thursday.
Your help with hard to match fabric is spot on! Well done #3 is absolutely gorgeous! My problem is : I need help making a queen size version of a three yard quilt pattern. King queen are too big, 86 to 88 is more ideal for my bed. Please help. You might have a way to do this, could you share the math needed? Please.
I love what you chose to do with Norma’s fabric. Several years ago, my son went to Hawaii and I asked him to bring me a yard of fabric. Well he brought me 2 different fabrics with these big beautiful flowers. Now I know what to do with them. Can’t wait to make my quilt now. I may just even make it larger and use both of the large floral fabrics in it.
These videos are my favourite ones! Such a great job, you do, Fran. Half the time, I don't even like the fabric that is sent in as they just aren't me but I am always wowed by how you match them with both fabric and pattern. The last one was really striking and I actually said Wow! out loud to myself! Again, not my sort of fabric but it just looks stunning! The Amore one I really liked too. I am not much of a fan of Interlock but again, when you put it together like this, it makes total sense 👌👌👌 😃😃
Fran all the fabrics were so gorgeous ❤ excellent choices! My hubby wants me to make a black and gold king quilt ...yikes! any whoo how do I submit fabric for matchin. Fran you have a gift thank you for sharing with us.
All three look great! My fav is the wine glass one. The only thing that was difficult to me was capturing the sharpness of the heart shape when the candy fabric was used in the heart position since some of the fabric blended in with the background. Switching positions eliminated that issue.
I was hoping to get a family pic when everyone was there, but not such luck. Next time I'll have to book a portrait appt somewhere. My Tues night quilting class has become a bag class this month. Making the " Mondo" bag - it's really fun! I'll send you a pic when it's done!
Ohhh my !!! Norma’s fabric and the matching fabric with the pattern!! Won the golden globe award for most dramatic!! 🏆🏆 the wine glasses were also fabulous! The hearts were beautiful, I loved how the center heart block, works with the fabric , it think it would be just as gorgeous either way with the focus fabric as one big square or as the center heart! ❤ Thank you for explaining how to pick patterns and fabrics based on the scale and color in the focus fabrics. I always learn something new when I watch the Matchmaker videos! Okay and all of the videos ..
Great question! It will depend on the pattern, as certain patterns will have more intricate piecing which will make the quilt smaller or larger. We say the average is 45 inches x 60 inches. But the sizes for each pattern is listed on our website. 🥰
thank you for the video. i love these videos. ummm not meanin disrespect but that swirly yellow fabric gets used quite a bit. jw if maybe something diff could be suggested? i know you are the expert but i would like to see more variation if yall have. ❤ yall!!

I have a number of large print fabrics. The United pattern is just what I need. I will be purchasing the Patriotic book. Thanks Fran!

Love black in a quilt . Makes all the other colors pop!
Loved them all! Have you ever considered doing a matchmaker video with panels that people have send in?
Great idea! I'm not sure how many panels we have received for matchmaker, but if we get some we will make a video about them for sure!
Hello. Enjoying your videos so very much. Hugs to all of you.
Saltillo is one of my favorites. Kathy did amazing

MatchMaker. My fave.❤❤❤
I LOVE Norma's fabric and the image you created with it! I actually said, " Ooh!" out loud! 😂

Awe.. I like wine fabric print that would be prefect for my husband. He is a salesman. He sells wines.
Oooh! How perfect!
How big…I mean maximum size of the quilt…. can be done out of three yards ?
