always just love to see ur content really was happy and proud to see u get the boot at the first try. but I guss u want the pc mostly for editing and if u plan to use ad premier then its cpu heavy for that reason u should have gone with 8 physical core like last gen 10gen i7 but in gaming that i5 will perform same as i7 and even better sometimes due higher single core performance. also 11gen over i5 doesnt make any sense overall a beast pc and anyone who just want to game and get stuff done should consider it and editing and other professional task users should really go with ryzen at least 8 core with gpu that fits ur professional need

It's nice to see a PC building video that doesn't try too hard for crazy RGB but rather a more minimalistic, functional, and cost-efficient PC build which is exactly what I went for as well! I also made the RipJaws choice for my RAM rather than the RGB corsair ones that almost everyone has which are like double the price which is crazy!

    • @xesnox6122

corsair rgb pro’s are like £10 more, but rgb doesn’t really matter in the end tho

    • @GroudFrank
      @GroudFrank 3 года назад +2

RGB RAM is not significantly more expensive than non-rgb variants. Of course, it's a totally valid thing to not like or want RGB in your build but RGB builds are popular because, for a lot of people, the few extra dollars are worth it, especially if your PC is part of your room showpiece. I have been looking into my case on a daily basis for a year now and it's still incredibly satisfying to look at.

I enjoyed seeing your build process. Especially watching you do a first time install of the CPU and Memory.
Very cautious, I was the same way with my first build. The boot process is fun, waiting with anxiety to find out if the build was done correctly.
Very Nice build with minimalist component choices, that will make for a PC that doesn't distract while doing work. You can always add a little customization with that better cooler for some subtle lighting.
The Cooler Master 212 Evo RGB would be an excellent low cost option if there is clearance for the memory. There should be a spec available.
If not, the CM Hyper 212 Evo V2 is offset for taller memory, but no lights.
    😃👍

  • @justinli826
    @justinli826 3 года назад +1

Still better than the verge pc build.
Jokes aside, some important notes that I hope you're already aware of but are super important for all PC builds no matter if you have experience or not:
Keep the plastic socket cover that popped off when you installed the motherboard; you need those for warranty
You have pretty tall ram sticks, so in the future when you're looking at a cooler to install make sure you have enough clearance as lots of air coolers will stretch out over those sticks and if it doesn't clear or it contacts, it can damage your ram and even go so far as to melt the plastic in extreme cases (odds are won't happen, but why risk it). In all likelihood you'll just buy a cooler and find out you can't even get it on thanks to your ram, so remember your ram clearance specs, measure it if you have to, and if you can't be bothered then just go the AIO route. Guaranteed no clearance issues like that.
Built in wifi on boards tends to suck imo, get a cheap pci-e wifi card. Those go into the smaller by 1 slots usually underneath where the graphics cards go, and are really easy to install. Some require internal usb connectors, so if your motherboard doesn't have enough usb 2.0 headers make sure you get an INTERNAL USB hub. Some cheaper but very solid ones with wifi and bluetooth are the Asus PCIE AC55-BT, but others work fine. TP-Link and some other brands are also very reputable.
You can do a bit more for cable management! A little imagination goes a long way, so try finding the closest grommets to route the cables through so it reaches the motherboard with as little excess sticking out as possible. It's scary the first time because you don't really know how much your cables can bend before you're damaging something, but computer parts are hardier than they look. As long as you're not wrenching a port (use your hands to hold and bend cables don't try to bend it with the port holding it in place) you should be fine. Try and tuck that cooler fan cable away somewhere a little more discreet and it'll really improve the look of your computer.
Final notes: when you get ahold of your graphics card down the line, don't forget to move your display cable to the output in the graphics card, otherwise you'll never actually be using said graphics card. And once you do, do look into adding a few more fans to the front of your case. You have a nice big front panel with that chassis, so make use of that.

I know I'm late for the video but glad you build your own pc it's an awesome experience but sadly with the prices now gpu is so hard to get at msrp but if I'm honest this is just some things imp glad you did and things I think you should have done sorry if I'm talking a lot imp just really into pc xD thought I'm not an expert
    +Glad you did this
    - Build it on the motherboard box
    - Great Air Flow Case
    - Many other things couldn't mention it all lol
    + Wish You did/Change
    - Get an AMD Instead of Intel not saying its wrong but much better price per performance
    - Get a Semi Modular PSU cause it will still be easy to cable manage and also cheaper
    - the CPU Fan Logo is not right side up (this is just for looks just yeah xD)
    - you probably could have try to hide the cables at the lower side of your motherboard like the audio cable, front panel cable, etc
Not sure if you enable the XMP profile though just going to mention this in case you didn't because if you didn't your memory WILL NOT run in 3200mhz just mentionning just in the video you said trying to eneble XMP but didn't really see it xD

@@smartglasses4532 She said that she wanted WiFi on the motherboard. I disagree with that. For Wifi it is cheaper to get a add-on / expansion card for it than have it built into the motherboard for most types of WiFi.
The second point was about the lack of SATA ports. Being 4 instead of the normal 6 on Intel boards. Really unless she wants to have more than 4 SATA connected hard drives it is a mute point. Most consumers only use 1 maybe 2. The reason why 6 is standard is Intel didn't want to define the spec from years ago so kept it the same.
She had another video of her getting a NAS and semi set up of it. So my point of lack of SATA ports is kind of invalid. To build her own it is a lack of them to have her own in another system it is enough.

This is because when overclocking you can run in to booting issues. But after everything is done you can overclock to your heart's content.

You might want to upgrade the cpu cooler as your system is going to rely on the CPU heavily under video editing. Also, get some Artic P12 fans. They are very good in terms of cooling performance and value.

You forgot to put thermal paste on cpu which is very important in transfering heat to the fan to avoid crashing. But it isn't the end of the world. Modern cpu(s) will attempt to shut down before reaching temperature at which damage occurs, and before that, they will slow themselves down. Unless cpu fan has already thermal paste put in it that's good, hope your cpu fan has it.

omg I am building a pc too! Actually 2 new ones haha. My first one three years ago looked almost the same as yours!
Don't hold your breath for a 30 series nvidia gpu until early to mid next year, the chip shortage is pretty severe for nvidia.
A fan upgrade is definitely ++ for better thermals so that your cpu lasts longer and your pc is quieter. Seems like looks is not important so recommend Noctua. That is what I have in my first pc.

What do you mean by unlocking the 11500? You don't have a K cpu or a Z590 chipset motherboard. Do you mean that you have had to lock the 11500 max power usage so that it doesn't over heat and throttle due to the stock cooler? The stock cooler should be good enough to where that doesn't happen. You should really only look at upgrading the cpu cooler if the noise bothers you and also if the cpu is reaching mid to 80s and above while you're using it.
