My SHTF pistols are both 9mm. I 've chosen the Heckler & Koch USP compact and the Glock 19x. My reasoning behind these two pistols is their history of reliability in the past 30+ years. Also, with that USP compact in an apocalyptic setting, it delivers vibes from the movie Blood Diamond.
Great minds think alike. I chose a .40 Glock because I can swap out the barrel and use .357 Sig as well plus parts will be easy to find for it. My other gun is a full size USP because I decided I wanted something in .45 ACP. Both are very tough and reliable and shoot very well even if you don't always have time to clean them.
I will choose a single caliber (9x19mm) and two pistols with compatible (high capacity) magazines. Your HK selection is great. It could be CZ P10F + CZ P-09. Another combo could be Glock 17 + Glock 26.
Yes indeed I think that really simplifies matters to go with same mag compatibility and it’s always great to have a backup if your primary pistol goes down.
If I had to pick only two, it would be my Ruger P95 (9mm) and my Ruger Blackhawk (6 Inch Single Action .357). Both are tanks and they allow me to be more flexible in the ammo department. Plus, the Blackhawk has been used by many hunters to put food on the table.
I'm a big fan of conversion kits glock 22 40 to 9mm to 22lr and glock 19 9mm to 22lr to 22tcm9r ,but your right if you get in a fight the other person should have one the problem is if a member of your group doesn't have one.
I’d love to be able to supply for my group but I’m not sure I’d be able to carry anything extra for group members IF we on foot traveling. The ammo going to be heavy enough as it is.
Something a lot of people forget, is that no matter what brand you choose, or what configurations, in the end, the ammunition you feed it is self-contained and will perform the same, no matter what pipe it comes out of (with some very slight variations of course) but overall, it doesn't really matter. That Remington green and white box round couldn't care less whether it's shot out of a Glock, HK, Sig , S&W...
To a degree yes but some guns won't take certain types of ammo, hollowpoints are a point of contention for several models of firearm and some ammo manufacturers have rounds that are slightly longer than standard to the point that the pistol will not properly seat and chamber the round. Something to bear in mind.
G19, G23 is what I will take as it's all I have. Both are setup the same, same grips and grip tape, night sights and lights. Which means I have one holster, one way to clean them one way to train.
If you use the USP9C, you can use vp9 magazines as well. Allowing you to find more magazines for use as well as usp40c magazines work in them. If you get the USP9C, you can also utilize the vp9 20round mags which are more available to make you’re compact pistol a higher capacity
You made sense in this video. I would like to think I could defend myself and my wife from gangs of marauders, but the reality is if my home was attacked by a gang I would be in deep trouble. Therefore, I would be using my Sig 320 and my Beretta PX4 Storm with high capacity mags. I am73 so heading out on foot is out of the question.
Sidearm: HK USP 9x19 Rifle: Sig MPX PCC Because having a pistol AND rifle of the same caliper makes sense. Was a good idea in 1892 and still makes sense today.
Choice #1: A Glock with a conversion barrel, either .45 to 10mm or .40 to 9mm. You can use the same magazines in a pinch. Same striker/extractor/guide rod/springs so no need to swap anything out. I lean towards .40/9mm just because of the ubiquity of 9mm ammo and the slight power bump for the .40s. Choice #2: S&W 686+ .357/.38
Glad I'm not the only one who has put some thought into this "what if..." scenario. I have chosen the USP9c as a primary because I have 10 mags for it (8 between the 9c and P2000, and two 17 rounds from the P30), and a backup as my G26 (6 mags for it) in the off chance I came across spare mags alone because of the G26's ability to accept larger mags. But you are right I would just take the gun, but I like increasing the odds in my favor in coming across Glock mags.
FN Five-seveN for potential armor defeating and very high capacity and lighter weight and lower recoil (but reliability and ammo availability can be finnicky). SIG P226 Legion for reliability, durability, accuracy, night sights, good capacity, good ammo availability (but maybe not if I had to carry it everywhere). So as a third option, any quality 9mm polymer like Walther PPQ/PDP or HK USP/P30/VP9 or SIG P320. I believe what matters in such situations for a pistol is having high capacity, excellent reliability, sufficient power, a weight that's not too heavy or light, a size that's not too big or small, and just something you can shoot well enough with (as you say). I believe my above mentions fall into that sweet-spot (as do yours other than the .45).
@@FL-Kaiman Yes, durability is excellent but reliability is finicky. You have to make sure the chamber is clean from casing wax or else you will get failures to extract and certain ammo, particularly SS195 might not extract either. I, and almost every 5.7 pistol owner I've known has at least had some FTE issues sadly.
My 1st choice for shtf would be my edc kimber k6s 2inch. It will always remain in my hip, it is the gun I always carry and it will be a great backup for my primary handgun the CZ p01.
Ruger gp100 .22 revolver 8 shot , shoots shorts , longs and lr , no mags to deal with Ruger sp101 .22 mag, revolver 6 shot , no kags to deal with . Both stainless steel , no rust , no fuss . Can carry lots of ammo .
For me in a SHTF scenario it would be my Sig Sauer MK25 backed by my full size Beretta PX4 Storm both in 9mm… My alternate would be my Springfield Armory 1911 Loaded .45ACP just to have a different caliber.
If I can only have 2 pistols for a SHTF scenario, it'd be... 1. Glock 19: If possible, the Gen 5 since I was super accurate with my brother's Gen 5. However, I can only have a Gen 3 since we live in CA. My brother has the Gen 5 because he's a cop. I rented the Gen 3 but somehow I was not as accurate with it as my brother's Gen 5 because of the stock sights and maybe the finger grooves (that's debatable for me though since when I shot the Gen 3, my hand was still uncomfortable from rapid firing a Bersa Firestorm during that time). This one would be my appendix carry, thigh holster, or at the OWB on the hip. Also, I can make a Glock 19 be like a PCC with a CAA MCK with that 16 inch barrel provided in the CAA website. 2. Bersa Firestorm: At least right now. I mean I'd want my second pistol to be super concealable as a back up and so far I've been most accurate with this. I have to admit, it's not very comfortable after 50 rounds in a row of firing it without rest since it's snappy and it has sights similar to a Glock's factory sights. I want to try the Sig Sauer P238 (again because last time I shot and rented the P238, that one had a stiff trigger while another P238 I dry fired in the gun store had a much more smoother and shorter trigger). This one would be appendix carry (if my Glock is not in the appendix carry), at the pocket, or at the ankle holster. The clothes I wear will dictate how I carry my firearms. Also, I love 45 caliber guns but I want guns I can still conceal and shoot accurately with since I want to be able to move around more while armed (.45 caliber guns I'd be comfortable with are 5 inch 1911 like my dad's Colt 1911), which are very heavy and not concealable. I'd like to try .357 revolvers since they can chamber 38 specials as well but I'd most likely get one that has a 5-6 inch barrel. My 2 rifles would be... 1. AR-15 in 5.56. 2. AR-10 or Springfield M1A in .308. [Originally, my plan was a Glock 19 and a Springfield XD9 Sub-Compact but the XD seems a bit too heavy for my taste just thinking about it now. However, maybe my mind might change again and consider this loadout.]
My Fk 7.5 BRNO PSD shoots 7.5brno, 10mm, .40,and 9mm (with barrel, spring, & mag swap out for 9mm). Second gun would be my HK Mk23 (45acp) between the two most major calibers you would come across are covered & both are accurate, durable & reliable pistols.
Sig P229 and a Sig SP2022. Both 9mms, different mags, but the exact same manual of arms. I feel that is just as important as ammo compatibility. That's my two cents. ✌️
If I was choosing two pistols for a SHTF scenario, I would probably choose two of the exact same make, and caliber because "two is one, one is none" I would probably take my Glock 19's (because I have a few, and I can work on them, and fix them if need be. I can probably fix them with non standard parts if I had to. Not only that, but there is a lot of them around, so if I need to find parts, it would not be hard. Even if the caliber is different most of the parts interchange.) The best reason for having two guns that share ammunition and magazines is not because one may break, (though that's not a bad reason) but so that you can arm someone else, such as your wife or child, if necessary, and share ammunition with them easily. I would also bring a .22 LR.(rifle would be better, but a pistol would work) The reason is for hunting small game, or if I need to be really quiet. It's easier to hunt for food then to try to carry everything you plan to eat. A .22 LR conversion for an AR-15 would work good for this, or just a light weight high capacity .22 pistol like the Kel-Tec P17. A suppressor would make this even more useful. The P17 is ultra-lightweight, come with 3 16 round magazines, and a threaded barrel extension for adding a suppressor. You can even mount a red dot type optic to it if you want. It's accurate enough to take small game such as squirrels, grouse, and rabbits, and is even able to take deer if necessary. Since they are less then $300 getting two of these wouldn't hurt either.
While I have multiple pistols, the one that I'd carry with me would be my CZ 75. I think 9x19 is a no-brainer as far as ammunition availability goes. It's the same logic as to why 5.56 is overall the best round for SHTF.
9mm is my favorite round. Pistol would be Ruger SR9/9E. My wife and I have 3 of these and plentiful magazines. 2 AKS and a S&W MP 15-22 pistol and a supresaor.
My first choice would be my Browning hi-power 9mm cause of the high capacity handguns I have I shoot it the best and have many magazines for it the second would be the harder choice I’d probably narrow it down to my Ruger single six .22 or one of my .357s though
My SHTF pair is my FN FNX .45. 15 rounds of big fat .45 per magazine. And i have 10 mags. That goes real well with my FN SCAR 17. 20 rounds of 7.62x51 per magazine and i have 12 magazines. My alternate pistol choice is one of my 1911s. Ok, I'll take my Ed Brown SF 1911 as I have 45 magazines for 1911. Almost all of them are Wilson Combat mags.
HK45& HK MK23 Both are in 45 acp. Both have 10 mags. Both i shoot fairly well. And drum roll please. Its the only 2 pistols that i own Oh btw nice UPS AND ELITE. 2 that i would have loved to own had this Canadian pistol freeze not come up.
I have plenty of revolvers and semi auto pistols in 380, 9mm,40, 45 ACP, 357magnum, one of those calibers would probably be the sensible choice for a SHTF sidearm , but I have one 22 rimfire pistol a SiG P322 and whenever I decide on one of my centerfire handguns is the ultimate carry weapon, I always gravitate toward the theory that that SIG 22 pistol would make the best one of all, because it is so light that fully loaded and carrying 2 extra magazines it feels like it weighs nothing plus I could carry hundreds of rounds of 22 ammo without any effort, but I would hate to find out later I picked the wrong one
It’s hard to argue with 22 decision bc that round count will be insane. Even if one shot doesn’t drop them you can bet they’ll be running for the hills.
Hard to beat dual wielding USP 9mms. Ppl forget about FN FMJ 9mm. Almost as cheap as RN FMJ , great penetration but give close to HP wounding on soft tissue.
Ohhh I see what you just did there, you want me to buy more guns that I really don’t need. Anyway, these are my choices, the usp experts 9mm and 45 acp; the g19x and g20; the sig legion p226 and p220 or the beretta M9A3 and px4. Too many options to choose from.
Glock 17 (or 19) and a Glock 26. I carry a Sig P365 or a Ruger LCP Max daily here in the real world during these relatively “decent” and “stable” times, but for pistols in a truly apocalyptic type situation I’m straight back to my Glocks even though they’re a little bigger and heavier then the Sig and the Ruger, Lol.
For SHTF, a pistol's job is to get you to your rifle then be handy for close quarters use. In such a world, the two pistols I would choose to accomplish that would in 9mm Para and something else, probably .40 S&W. That would be a Glock 19 and a Glock 22 and lots of magazines for both. It's unlikely either would ever fail to fire.
It's a shame that .40 S&W has fallen out of favor. A pistol in .40 and a spare 9mm barrel for it could make use of either pool of ammunition. My two choices would be a Beretta M9 because John Woo movies and a shaker of Old Bay spice blend so when the cannibals get me, at least I'll be well seasoned.
If you can't resupply it don't matter things get bad it's over for all of us I mean really bad where over use n things wear out wounds n no food n water stuff
It's tough to choose between my P226 MK25 and my P229, but I would probably go with the P226 (both are 9mm). Other than that I'm also taking my GP100 in .357 (4 inch). So P226 and GP100. If the end of the world happened tomorrow though I would take my P229 since I have better holster options at the moment since it is priority as my ccw.
@@leverBoyluke yeah it is really nice but I haven’t shot one. It’s supposed to be a little another, but personally I like the original one, mainly because of the huge “match champion” engraving lol.
@@leverBoyluke I just want to add one more thing. If you do get a gp100, oil the mechanisms, put some snap caps in, and spend some time dry firing before going out and getting a trigger job or replacing springs as many people do. From my experience with mine (and an sp101) the trigger smooths out considerably after a couple of days of dry fire practice.
Love my HKs Best hanging with the worst triggers just dry fire them about 2000x to make them smoother I have a USP 45 USP 9 compact VP9sk with optic which easily has the best trigger out of all the HKs And by 2925 we will have a micro compact updated version of the VP9 👍 But in a shtf long term scenario Glock 19 And Glock 34 ✌️🇺🇸
This is a tough choice to make but if I had to choose only 2 probably gonna be my g17 because of its reliability and ammunition is plentiful my second Choi would be ruger Blackhawk in 44 magnum
My 2 or 3 hand gun's would be Browning Hi Power 40.S&W. or Beretta 96A1 40.S&W then Colt 1991A1 Rail 45.ACP. maybe the Bereta over the Bowning because i have my PCC Beretta Storm CX4 40.S&W to go with it ! i have 1200 rounds of 45.ACP and 1450 rounds of 40.S&W ..
Looks like we almost agree again. For me It'd be a 9mm and a .45. The reason being is ammo scavenging. In the U.S., if you're not finding 9mm laying on the ground, you're finding 45 acp. I'd take a Glock 19 and a Glock 21. Good video.
It’s a tough call for me on 2 different calibers. I think the importance of just having a backup pistol in same caliber etched out having the scavenging diff ammo ability. Plus all my stash is mostly 9mm so that’s the real reason for my choosing. Glad you enjoyed video and thank you for commenting friend 👍🏻
I have only 2 pistols in 9mm (92FS,1911) I have only 7 pistols in .45ACP (6x1911, Taurus 24/7) I have only 1 pistol in .44Magnum(S&W mod 29) Plenty of ammo for all and plenty of magazines. Enough rigging and holsters to carry them all. If only 2 it would be 92FS + 1911 Otherwise it would be .44 in chest rig right hand draw 120 loose rounds, right and left shoulder rig match set of sig 1911 with 8x 10round Wilson combat mags 240ball + 100 loose left drop down holster 92FS 5x15round mags +p hollow points +100 loose. And comfortable footwear lol
I’m going with my CZ P10C or my Sig AXG Scorpion. My rifle I’m going with my Springfield Hellion or my Sugar Weasel in 300 BO but I’ll have a 16 inch upper in 556
Just out of curiosity, have you ever taken a Carbine course with your Mini-14 or AR-15? If not I would encourage you to do so. Get all the gear that you think will work together, and go take a GOOD two day carbine course. It's Eye opening! The same is true of handgun courses (most permit to carry classes don't count) I can't tell you how many times I though a piece of equipment would work, but when I put it through a course it failed miserably. A carbine course, or pistol course or competition are the only true litmus tests for gear and guns. So, if you want to know which gun to use when the crap hits the fan, take it to a really good training course or competition.
Just my opinion I'll make it short I wouldn't choose more than one handgun instead of the second handgun I would replace that with loaded mags as far as a battlefield pickup I would pick up the whole gun but once I got you a safe location I would strip it for spare parts if you are out and about and your baby had a broken arm would you just set it on the ground and go pick up a baby that's in top-notch shape no you would fix it because it's your baby same rule applies with all my firearms. (first cup of coffee ramble)
Haha okay here’s my rebutle. Keep the gun in tact until you need those spare parts. No point disassembling a good gun. Throw it in the back pack and take off.
Do you have a Beretta 92 FS or 92 G in your collection? If not you should. I think you’d love it, very similar to your Sig and HK being Da/SA with decocker. No collection is complete without the Beretta 92. For me I’d go with my Beretta 92fs with 18 round mags and my Sig p229 Legion. Both being 9mm guns. Though I do have some 3rd gen Smiths in 45 acp, 9mm ammo is smaller and far lighter than 45 acp. So if you were stuck with only the pack on your back you could carry far more 9mm than 45 rounds. Just something to think about. Also I think the 9mm is more common than 45 acp so if you managed to stay alive you probably could find it easier. Ps: that p220 looks awesome with those wood grips.
No Beretta yet but I really love that M9A4 they released couple years ago. Thank you for 220 comment I really love it as well! Your 229 Legion is also on my list. Great choices!
So what are the circumstances? Bugout on foot? Bugout in a vehicle? A combo of the two? Bug in? If bugging out where are you bugging out to? If your doing 1776 stuff 2 pistols would be overkill especially 2 of the same pistol. I conceal carry my duty pistol when im not on the job and thats a p226. Ive probably put a good 20k rounds through it and its still going strong. Also really not that difficult to conceal. If you're dead set on doing 2 pistols id do whatever your primary is plus a heavy caliber revolver. For me for instance i live in bear country so i have a .44 mag because im not confident in a 9mm to do the job adequately on an 800 pound angry grizzly. Of course ive known people toget by with .357 mag just fine with the right bullet weights and loads. Again though the devils in the details and curcumstances and inentions are going to be the biggest driving factors.
This would be a combo of either bugging in or out. I wasn’t clear in the video but this is just my pistol choices, but I’d also have my primary weapons of choice as well, which would be a type of rifle. I made a video on the rifle setup as well. Love your 226 choice.
i would go for 9mm only so you dont need to carry a bunch of different ammo - and if you can have 2 firearms share mags, even better for shtf. if i wanted to let my imagination run wild, i could consider what kinds of parts and ammo i might find laying about in the wild if things went bad for long enough. i wouldnt want to go looking for rare parts or ammo - finding a sig p365 or a glock with some spare mags would be a piece of cake compared to other stuff
Yeah same ammo and mags would be the biggest plus I think. I really don’t think people would end up searching for parts that much since normal guns tend to work reliability for a real long time. Just my two sense.
Great video!!!! My SHTF EDC pistol is my Glock G21 G4. I absolutely love that 13+1 .45 capacity!!! This pistol is a cannon & yes I trust it to stop ANY 2 legged predator dead in their tracks!!!! Subscribes!!!!👍👍
I'm rolling with my HI POINTS!! they are the best, and they will out shoot everything! I hope y'all know I was joking lol. For shtf pistol? I'm rolling with my 9mm Taurus g3x and my 45 1911, I practice with both frequently, for a rifle and A.R15.
If only 2. Rather have 3 but okay, 2 it is. Primary would be my .45. It is just one of those handguns that I really don't need to aim. With it, I'm petty much going to hit what I'm looking at out to about 50 feet. I have and have had quite a few guns, but very few handle like this one. It's also my EDC. I also have 2 9mm's and a 380 that handle the same way. and I really thought I would take my .45 and one of the 9mm's. But in a SHTF situation, what if you have 2 or 3 or more targets and you have to shoot behind you while you duck and run? It's good and real possibility. For this reason and only this reason, I think my 2nd choice would be controversial, But I would want to increase my odds of making it out. So I think I will take my Taurus Raging Judge , that I originally got just for the fun of it. But thinking in this type of oh shit situation, yeah it might only hold 6 rounds but with buckshot loaded it increases your chances. You could say a gun like that could have your 6.
Thank you for your comment man! I like your 45 choice but I’m not sure I’d take that judge Lol Paul Harrel has a video on how ineffective those 4-10 shots are.
@@leverBoyluke it's lite for a 45 and the trigger is one of the best. And haven't had any issues with it yet. I heard that they just make the 45 just for the us market so I thought that was kinda cool
He says 1) you won't be shooting your handguns that much in SHTF, then goes on to 2) pick both 9mm's because they can shoot more than the 9mm/45 combo. Lmfao xD
I will always prepare for the the chance I might be wrong. It’s happened before, it will probably happen again. Let’s all hope we don’t have to use our pistols or rifles.
$4,000 in guns is sweet..............but for me the .45 sig is not worth carrying for the amount of rounds it holds!!! IF one , the Sig 226 , A proven weapon !!!
Luke, usp9 standard has more durable rear sight and a stronger hammer spring so it would hold up better abused and dirty than expert 9.. please consider a reliable 22 auto like a ruger sr22 and around a thousand rounds as a backup.. lots of rounds if your on foot mobile… your not going to pack 1k of 9 or 45 without a vehicle… zombies only need 1 round head shot lol😊 keep up the good work love it
You make a good point Mike! Lol! I did replace my Experts sights with some meprolights bc those original target sights were rather brittle. Kinda strange considering HK loves to overbuild everything. Thanks for feedback!
My SHTF pistols are both 9mm. I 've chosen the Heckler & Koch USP compact and the Glock 19x.

There ya go! Simple is best 👍🏻
Get a 9mm conversion barrel for the G23
You know the P226 Legion or the USP, if a man is seriously looking at a pistol from all sides as a backup weapon, are absolutely fantastic.
Thats what Im thinking as well. either would do a great job

Choice #2: S&W 686+ .357/.38
Excellent and practical choices!
It’s never a bad idea to have a glock in the kit. Their popularity is undeniable. But I’m like you, USP going to be my main bread winner.
FN Five-seveN for potential armor defeating and very high capacity and lighter weight and lower recoil (but reliability and ammo availability can be finnicky).

I, and almost every 5.7 pistol owner I've known has at least had some FTE issues sadly.
@@Bristecommy 57 FN has been reliable so far, I only shoot FN ammo and Speer, I EDC the Speer Gold dot ammo just incase 🤌🏻
My 1st choice for shtf would be my edc kimber k6s 2inch. It will always remain in my hip, it is the gun I always carry and it will be a great backup for my primary handgun the CZ p01.
Man if you shoot it well then then fire away! I’m strong believer that you choose the gun you most comfortable with.
Ruger gp100 .22 revolver 8 shot , shoots shorts , longs and lr , no mags to deal with
Ruger sp101 .22 mag, revolver 6 shot , no kags to deal with .
Both stainless steel , no rust , no fuss . Can carry lots of ammo .
Haha well you will certainly be carrying more ammo than all of us! Those 22 magnums are nothing to sneeze at. Wheel guns for the win. A real Cowboy 🤠
My shtf pistol loadout is a beretta m9a3 9mm/ s&w 360pd 357mag/ and volquartzen mini mamba suppressed 22lr
They’re ya go! But you gotta leave one behind bc I’m only allowing two in my imaginary scenario lol
@@leverBoyluke but.. but.. the 360pd weighs like 11oz lol
@@FL-Kaiman It’s tough choosing two Huh lol
For me in a SHTF scenario it would be my Sig Sauer MK25 backed by my full size Beretta PX4 Storm both in 9mm… My alternate would be my Springfield Armory 1911 Loaded .45ACP just to have a different caliber.
Great choices!
Two weapons for SHTF? For me hands down, my HiPoint 10 MM carbine and 40 cal pistol.
There ya go! I do hear good things about Highpoint carbine
Just give me an HK USP in 45
( maybe because I really liked the movie Collateral )
Is that my briefcase? 😉
That’s great man so much detail
My Fk 7.5 BRNO PSD shoots 7.5brno, 10mm, .40,and 9mm (with barrel, spring, & mag swap out for 9mm). Second gun would be my HK Mk23 (45acp) between the two most major calibers you would come across are covered & both are accurate, durable & reliable pistols.
Great choices!
The beautiful thing is I dont need to choose!
Haha there ya go!
Sig P229 and a Sig SP2022.
Both 9mms, different mags, but the exact same manual of arms. I feel that is just as important as ammo compatibility. That's my two cents. ✌️
Great choices man!
Sp2022 is a secret P226 in disguise ,LOL , but I love mine...........Mec Gar 17rd mags makes 18 rds a sweet capacity
There ya go man you have really thought it out! I definitely agree about having same caliber and make 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
While I have multiple pistols, the one that I'd carry with me would be my CZ 75. I think 9x19 is a no-brainer as far as ammunition availability goes. It's the same logic as to why 5.56 is overall the best round for SHTF.
I’ve always loved the SP01 variant, great choice!
9mm is my favorite round. Pistol would be Ruger SR9/9E. My wife and I have 3 of these and plentiful magazines. 2 AKS and a S&W MP 15-22 pistol and a supresaor.
Great choices!
My Sig P320 compact and Beretta 92fs.
There ya go
My favorite shtf guns are sig p226 , beretta 92, hk usp and a g19 all are super durable and reliable and all have a great track record
Heck yeah! Great choices
My first choice would be my Browning hi-power 9mm cause of the high capacity handguns I have I shoot it the best and have many magazines for it the second would be the harder choice I’d probably narrow it down to my Ruger single six .22 or one of my .357s though
I’ve also been thinking of picking up a second pistol that takes the High power magazines though I haven’t pulled the proverbial trigger on one yet
Hell yeah man you go some bad ass firearms!
I feel like a compact 9mm 357 snub and 45 acp 380 if you want would cover all major caliber bases and if your fitting in a bag that’s simple
You definitely got everything covered
HK45& HK MK23 Both are in 45 acp. Both have 10 mags. Both i shoot fairly well. And drum roll please. Its the only 2 pistols that i own Oh btw nice UPS AND ELITE. 2 that i would have loved to own had this Canadian pistol freeze not come up.
I have plenty of revolvers and semi auto pistols in 380, 9mm,40, 45 ACP, 357magnum, one of those calibers would probably be the sensible choice for a SHTF sidearm , but I have one 22 rimfire pistol a SiG P322 and whenever I decide on one of my centerfire handguns
is the ultimate carry weapon, I always gravitate toward the theory that that SIG 22 pistol would make the best one of all, because it is so light that fully loaded and carrying 2 extra magazines it feels like it weighs nothing plus I could carry hundreds of rounds of 22 ammo without any effort, but I would hate to find out later I picked the wrong one
It’s hard to argue with 22 decision bc that round count will be insane. Even if one shot doesn’t drop them you can bet they’ll be running for the hills.
357 mag for revolver & lever action
10mm G20 5th gen & 10mm carbine
Nice setup!
You Should be able to use 40 cal
In the 10mm in a pinch and I’m sure they make a Conversion Barrel
And yes the 357/38 is great too
Hard to beat dual wielding USP 9mms. Ppl forget about FN FMJ 9mm. Almost as cheap as RN FMJ , great penetration but give close to HP wounding on soft tissue.
Heck yeah man I agree!
Hahaha Its hella hard choosing from that stack!
I think you made the better choice, full size is the way to go in this particular scenario.
Great choices as long as you can run both of them with no problem!
Hahaha you’re thinking ahead now! 🤣 🧟♂️ 💩
If you can't resupply it don't matter things get bad it's over for all of us I mean really bad where over use n things wear out wounds n no food n water stuff
Yep 100% right. Food and water really the most important.
What about 357MAG and 10mm? 4 inch in 38spl and 357MAG is also versatile.
Nice choices!
@@leverBoyluke Thank you for responding.
Any H&K!
Haha hell yeah man!
The combo I'm thinking about 10mm as a primary and the 9mm for backup
There ya go 👍🏻
It's tough to choose between my P226 MK25 and my P229, but I would probably go with the P226 (both are 9mm).
Other than that I'm also taking my GP100 in .357 (4 inch).
So P226 and GP100.
If the end of the world happened tomorrow though I would take my P229 since I have better holster options at the moment since it is priority as my ccw.
Excellent combo! Ive been looking at the GP100 for a while.
@@leverBoyluke it’s a great revolver, and very easy to disassemble for cleaning
@@WhyPhi Good to know! I was also looking at the Match version. Have you seen that one?
@@leverBoyluke yeah it is really nice but I haven’t shot one. It’s supposed to be a little another, but personally I like the original one, mainly because of the huge “match champion” engraving lol.
@@leverBoyluke I just want to add one more thing. If you do get a gp100, oil the mechanisms, put some snap caps in, and spend some time dry firing before going out and getting a trigger job or replacing springs as many people do.
From my experience with mine (and an sp101) the trigger smooths out considerably after a couple of days of dry fire practice.

@@navyman8903 Haha yes indeed! Cat dads. You as well friend! 👍🏻
Love my HKs
Best hanging with the worst triggers just dry fire them about 2000x to make them smoother
I have a USP 45
USP 9 compact
VP9sk with optic which easily has the best trigger out of all the HKs
And by 2925 we will have a micro compact updated version of the VP9 👍
But in a shtf long term scenario
Glock 19
And
Glock 34 ✌️🇺🇸
Go with the ones you most comfy with i say
This is a tough choice to make but if I had to choose only 2 probably gonna be my g17 because of its reliability and ammunition is plentiful my second Choi would be ruger Blackhawk in 44 magnum
Love that Ruger Blackhawk!
You got the ammo covered and on lockdown 👍🏻
I have only 2 pistols in 9mm (92FS,1911)
I have only 7 pistols in .45ACP (6x1911, Taurus 24/7)
I have only 1 pistol in .44Magnum(S&W mod 29)
Plenty of ammo for all and plenty of magazines.
Enough rigging and holsters to carry them all.
If only 2 it would be 92FS + 1911
Otherwise it would be .44 in chest rig right hand draw 120 loose rounds, right and left shoulder rig match set of sig 1911 with 8x 10round Wilson combat mags 240ball + 100 loose left drop down holster 92FS 5x15round mags +p hollow points +100 loose.
And comfortable footwear lol
You got a great setup! I’m also big 92FS fan
I’m going with my CZ P10C or my Sig AXG Scorpion. My rifle I’m going with my Springfield Hellion or my Sugar Weasel in 300 BO but I’ll have a 16 inch upper in 556
Very nice choices! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Never taken a course before but I would be down to do one. Always enjoy getting more experience.
I really like the pistol plus rifle in same caliber. For me i do t have a semi auto 9mm so its a 357 revolver and my 357 lever gun.
Yes me too, very practical
Glock 19 and Colt King Cobra. Having the ability to scavenge different calibers. 9mm, 38 special and .357
Very nice! I like
Do you have a Beretta 92 FS or 92 G in your collection?
USP in 45 and USP in 9. Toughest guns
Nice! Cant go wrong with the USPs
My two are Glock 17 and Beretta M9
Berettas are hella nice
Glock 34 for me it’s my edc!
Ah my first gun I ever bought, the 34 race horse 👍🏻
9mm Beretta APX A1 w/ 6 clips
.45 Glock 21 Gen4 w/ 4 clips
People love that APX
My Gen 5 Glock 17 for shure and probably my S&W M&P .40.
The police gun of choice 👍🏻
My 2 would be M9a4 & G43x
Nice combo!
A boring choice but two glock 19 gen 5s, one for me and one for my wife, maybe I should get a third as a backup lol
Whatever works! don’t fix it if it ain’t broke!
Cat visible, opinion discarded.
🤣 oh man don’t watch my other videos if you have issues with cats 😆
Two pistols, same ammo, same mag, makes sense to me.
Keeping it simple and idiot proof for myself lol
I would choose...... the cat
Haha you have chosen...wisely.
i would go for 9mm only so you dont need to carry a bunch of different ammo - and if you can have 2 firearms share mags, even better for shtf.
if i wanted to let my imagination run wild, i could consider what kinds of parts and ammo i might find laying about in the wild if things went bad for long enough.
i wouldnt want to go looking for rare parts or ammo - finding a sig p365 or a glock with some spare mags would be a piece of cake compared to other stuff
Yeah same ammo and mags would be the biggest plus I think. I really don’t think people would end up searching for parts that much since normal guns tend to work reliability for a real long time. Just my two sense.
@@leverBoyluke you're right, but if yours broke for some reason you could find another and keep your mags/ammo

You’re funny! Awesome choices man I’m sure they will do great!
@@leverBoyluke I do also have a few of those duce duce lr's. (I'm trying to sound cool) lol
@@leverBoyluke I get what you're saying about the judge and for the most part I agree. But like I said, I think I'll keep it for a duck and run gun.

@@rt19187 it was for comedy lol
