- Avenged Sevenfold bassist Johnny Christ recently joined Matt from The Morning After on Zoom to discuss the band's upcoming album, latest single, summer tour, and more!
I sometimes feel like some questions like "why keep pushing yourselves instead of creating a City of Evil all over again and again?" can kinda feel cheap, but Johnny is very cool in taking that question and answering it in a very artistic form. Like really, if you're not pursuing excitement and novelty, how is it not art? If they felt like doing that over again, like he said, it wouldn't be easy. But I am really glad he took it well and gave us a very insightful answer in the creation.
I can't wait, NOBODY is now my favorite song. Can't get enough. The outro I think of it as nervous tension.
Also, when Johnny mentioned that 5 years is a long time invested, it gave me another perspective. Life happened in between, and to see your work be perfected along those 5 years must be wild. To see your magnum opus through that perspective should be an experience of its own. I am really looking forward to it!
I love A7X! Been listening to them since 2003 , I love Nobody ! And can’t wait for the rest of the album !!

I'm just throwing this out there... But it's got to get a little redundant and frustrating to be interviewed over and over and asked the same or similar questions over and over. But at the same time, that may have nothing at all to do with this video... Lol. Just a theory. 👍

I'm an A7X fan but not a dickrider..."Nobody" was one of the most boring and derivative songs they've ever put out. Really hoping the rest of the album is more adventurous

He looks sunburned and he looks like he had some sort of water goggles on. I think it’s a combination of the lighter tone on the top of his bridge and the dark shadow from the hat that makes him look like he’s got a bump
