Btw, the first few ones were definitely more than a pull up, they were actually chest to bar so even more difficult and effort girl! You are STRONG wow!!!
The best way to get better at pull-ups is to do more pull-ups. When I was in the Marines we had a Staff Sergeant that was a stickler for pull-ups on PFTs so we had to do a max set immediately followed by a max assisted set (someone holds your ankles behind you to help you get a few more) before we started the day, and we'd have to do it again after lunch. Within two months or so I went from 8 pull-ups to 17.
You can do Australian pull ups, negatives (jumping to chin over bar position and trying not to drop down instantly), use resistance bands or an assisted pull up machine, or friend to help assist, and overall just strengthening that area of muslces that you would be using for a pull up. Whether it’s resistance machines or free weights, all of those upper body exercises should play some sort of role in strengthening your pull ups. That was incredible! The whole 4 years I was in the marines and all the fitness tests i went through, i never even saw one girl get a perfect score. I saw a couple get close, but most just barely made requirements! Well done! You're such a hard worker!
The pull ups were really impressive ! I m usually that guy hating on the form in the comments whene people are doing pull ups or push ups, but here it was perfect, and really impressive.
I've watched a lot of pullups on a lot fitness channels in addition to all the pullups I've seen in person: Yours are the best I've seen - full stretch dead hang, slow controlled eccentric and concentric contraction (no kipping or swinging), and full clearance (up to your collarbones even!) without any of that neck stretching to dip the chin over the bar! Amazing! Big props! You should be very proud! :)

@@abnrangerjapo i know this comment is 11 months old, and maybe you were trolling, but i rly don’t think her run was fabricated considering her past as a triathlete/iron man competitor - like it’s really not an unrealistic time for her and clearly the sit ups and pull ups weren’t fabricated so why would she have to fabricate the event she actually has a semi-professional past in lol
@@hannaht1976 I’m not taking anything away from her past experiences. But her pace/stride is not a sub 7:00 minute mile. I will say she is probably doing a 7:28-7:35 pace. Easily sub 8. But no where near the time she posted. He occasionally stopped the clock while he was filming.
US army ranger PT test in order to be able to start ranger school: 49 minimum pushups in 2 minutes (she already can do it) 59 minimum sit-ups in 2 minutes (she already can do it) 6 minimum pull-ups (she already can do it) 2 mile run @ or faster in boots (she already can do it) 5 mile run @ or faster in PT gear overland (she already can do it) 16-mile hike full 65lb ruck at port arms in 5 hours 20 minutes 15-meter swim in ACU with harness and belt (she already can do it) obviously this stuff is a piece of cake for anyone who has any chance of making it through ranger school, much less serve in a ranger regiment, but it's their way of weeding anyone out who isn't minimally prepared on day 1. there is also a rigorous obstacle course with high climbing but she is probably physically capable of making through the day one testing to enter ranger school, which puts her in better shape than most guys and easily 90% of women in the US military.
That is true. Someone I know, one of the fittest and healthiest dude you'll see, tried for Rangers in my country, and while the initial PT test was a piece of cake for him, the School itself was total ass kicking, and ultimately it proved to be too much for him. It doesn't cut to be "just" in shape. You need a *LOT* of willpower and endurance, and you also better not have acrophobia or any motion discomfort. Because you're gonna do climbing. Lots of climbing.
I'm i a coffeshop in TX wearing headphones and somehow watched this and on your 11th pullup I swung my fist thru the air and yelled out YES! to the stares of others here... hah!
If you aren't strong enough to do a pull up, try doing negative pull ups. Start at the top with the aid of a stool and let yourself down as slow as you can. Meg Squats has a recent tutorial on pull ups too if interested.
@@michellee.withms it is still useful to get some tips from someone who already overcame an obstacle. You can hit the plateau with your stupid head for quite a while with in any type of physical activity.
For running, you generally want a mix of three things: -steady "long" runs to build endurance -high intensity workouts like intervals and fartleks to build strength and cardiovascular capability -tempo and progressive runs to do both But yeah, at the end of the day, number one thing is to run regularly. -
Michelle Ellis theres efficient and inefficient ways to train and Natasha generally gives great tips on how to train (obviously she reached her goals in a set amount of time) so there’s no harm in asking for her to do a video on how she personally trained for it.
Michelle Ellis “get on the bar and just pull” is some shitty advice. 1. most women’s restricting factor is grip strength. increase grip strength (you can look up exercises online there are many) 2. next to increase lat strength do negative pull-ups (jump up or get someone to help you up and only do the negative portion of the pull-up very slowly ~5 seconds 3. once you can do 10 you can add weights for resistance

May you upload a video, in which you ecplain how you trained for this test?
Would be amazing!!
Id like to see this too! :)
Yess please!! :)
yes! agree!
Yaaas
Yes please!!! :D
Mario's encouragement when you were doing the pullups 😍😍😍
I just love how she sticked to the regulation. Something that many service members across the branches fail at. FYI Army Sit Ups are the worst type and outdated as well. I salute you for performing both Physical Fitness Test. #Army
So impressed!! 💪🙌 I appreciate you making videos surrounding performance goals and not just aesthetics. Love your channel! 💕
Mario's encouragement is so sweet 😊
Can you please try American Ninja Warrior as a challenge one day?
omg that would be awesome
I was thinking the same thing!!!!
Oh my gosh yessss
Do the Australian one.
there’s a uk one as well
That was incredible!
I'm so inspired by how quickly you improve your run timing! please post a video on that, would be helpful! :)
Those pull-ups were excellent. Absolute commitment. Nice work.
As a military girl, I love watching these videos ❤️❤️ love youu & yes, Navy Seals one next!
Definitely been looking forward to this test!! You KILLED it! 💪🏻
Hey Natacha first time watching your videos. Real U.S. Marine here. I know how difficult that was for you especially if you don't make your workouts revolve around it. I'm nervous every year that I do it but perform better than I thought. You motivate me. Oorah!!! Semper Fi!! Keep up the good work. #honorarydevildog
okay boot
Boot magic!
Meme Magic Lol
Meme Magic LMAO
I am a US Marine and I approve of this fine woman. Go get u some girl!
michael daniels her run was fabricated.
@@abnrangerjapo No.
Solar Wind 👍
You actual beast!!! You are amazing, well done!!! 👏 Mario's encouragement is amazing too ❤️
US army ranger PT test in order to be able to start ranger school:
49 minimum pushups in 2 minutes (she already can do it)
59 minimum sit-ups in 2 minutes (she already can do it)
6 minimum pull-ups (she already can do it)
2 mile run @ or faster in boots (she already can do it)
5 mile run @ or faster in PT gear overland (she already can do it)
16-mile hike full 65lb ruck at port arms in 5 hours 20 minutes
15-meter swim in ACU with harness and belt (she already can do it)
obviously this stuff is a piece of cake for anyone who has any chance of making it through ranger school, much less serve in a ranger regiment, but it's their way of weeding anyone out who isn't minimally prepared on day 1. there is also a rigorous obstacle course with high climbing but she is probably physically capable of making through the day one testing to enter ranger school, which puts her in better shape than most guys and easily 90% of women in the US military.
To be accurate she would have to do over exaggerated push ups. Go down a little farther than the regulation.
I'm i a coffeshop in TX wearing headphones and somehow watched this and on your 11th pullup I swung my fist thru the air and yelled out YES! to the stares of others here... hah!
Anyone else SO here for how supportive Mario is?? What a sweetheart!
in the navy, i always dreaded the pt test and you just do them for shits and giggles. you are absolutely amazing.
OMG please do the navy seal test!!!! After that you should do the MURPH
Lizzy Zimmerman yeesssss murph!!!!!
Yessssss
Don’t feel like working out today but I think your video may change my mind😋 You are amazing💪🏼
Eva Prosen go! Build the habit even if you only do a bit
Imagine taking a walk in the park and you see this absolute beast just banging out pull ups.
Could you do a video on how you trained for these tests? Particularly pull ups and the running
For running, you generally want a mix of three things:
-steady "long" runs to build endurance
-high intensity workouts like intervals and fartleks to build strength and cardiovascular capability
-tempo and progressive runs to do both
But yeah, at the end of the day, number one thing is to run regularly.
-
Michelle Ellis theres efficient and inefficient ways to train and Natasha generally gives great tips on how to train (obviously she reached her goals in a set amount of time) so there’s no harm in asking for her to do a video on how she personally trained for it.
Michelle Ellis “get on the bar and just pull” is some shitty advice.
1. most women’s restricting factor is grip strength. increase grip strength (you can look up exercises online there are many)
2. next to increase lat strength do negative pull-ups (jump up or get someone to help you up and only do the negative portion of the pull-up very slowly ~5 seconds
3. once you can do 10 you can add weights for resistance
As a Marine I want to congratulate you, great effort and well done.
If you are ever in the US please see about witnessing a live PFT and CFT at one of our bases or training centers.
Practice makes perfect and those pull ups really show it, well done.
When you took that break at 92 crunches I was screaming at my screen hahaha. Awesome job and so motivating!
I’m a Marine & I can’t get a 300 PFT 😂 I’m usually a low first class which is like 235-240 😂 HELL YEAH GIRL.
Damn girl, that was lit 🔥 You're such an inspiration!
caught myself "tensing my muscles" while you where doing pull ups, like I was doing them as well, hahahah!
You are 11/10!
Giullia lol! I was too, especially on 10 & 11
Literally cried when I saw you hit the PR for pull-ups. So proud of your growth and strength! This is a crazy video. You go Nat!
🙄
“I’m not letting you give up” 😭❤️ oh Mario
I give you props, I am a marine and gotta say your form on those pull-ups was great, better than mine actually! Nice work
A perfect Memorial Day (for America) upload. Great job! That was amazing!
Marines don't cry, their eyeballs just sweat...
You would make a great navy seaman !
Seawomam
Seaperson
Seathey
Finally a badass girl who can workout with her hair up, goes all out, and doesn't try to look cute/sexy💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
She is cute though !
A N Z A z a doesn’t try to look cute/sexy? Why the fuck do you think she wears these clothes? For fun? She does it for views
@@hiclink6318 no, they're not outrageous clothes, she makes the clothes.
GreetinFace #1 they look like something you wear for attention??? 👁👄👁
Hi Clink no lmao that’s just regular workout attire
"im gonna give you all a big hug for supporting me"
Me: hugs the screen
Good job!
BTW the Marine Corps just approved planks as an alternative to the crunches. Perfect score is 4:20 if you ever want to give the PFT another shot.
We also have the CFT you should try as well.
Cft is no joke
@@joshnjericho I like it more than the PFT 😹
@@FRANNiiEbOO I do too lol.
i got emotional during the pull-ups hearing how supportive Mario is. you’re such an inspiration to so many people! your hard work definitely has paid off.
I think you should try and do the flight attendant training test!
Get verbally abused by 50 ppl 😂
every time you hit the max score i almost cried because i was so happy for you 😂 love u natacha, thank you for all the motivation!!
Girl, you put so much effort into this video, it's crazy!! You are a BEAST
Semper kill, as a marine, that run time combined with the strength for the strength of the pull ups was really impressive, Im over the max on crunches and pull ups, but my run time is about 3min longer than that, so that was motivation there
Noelle Thompson no way she ran a sub 7:00 min mile pace.
Abel Alejandro dude wtf is your problem
poke mart what’s up?
Abel Alejandro you’ve commented on so many people’s comments something that you haven’t even proven dude.
poke mart her stride doesn’t/pace doesn’t support her pace and final time. 👍
this is my first time watching your videos. i was genuinely happy for you when you completed the pull ups. seeing you struggle to complete that 11th one but not giving up. i am a fan. i wanted to comment before going the rest of your videos. i hope to find some videos on your training process. i have just started my weigh lost journey i have struggled with my weight over the years. not because i couldn't loss weight but because i couldn't keep up with it. now i am older its getting harder to stay my current weight with out exercise. so 2 months ago i decided i wanted to loss weight and get healthy. i have already lost 30 lbs. but i am still struggling on workout days to get up and do what i need to do. after watching your video i see i need a challenge. something will motive me to get up and complete my workout so i can complete my challenge. thank you for sharing this video you are a real inspiration
Damn I ain’t SHIIIIIIIIIT! You are so strong mentally and physically. I also quit when it gets tough I rarely push myself. You are an INSPIRATION
"tintin" Few people have what it takes. I also wish I had what it takes.
hahahh she's been at it for years tho! you'll get there! I'm a small health and fitness youtuber so if you ever need some workouts or advice I'd love if u checked out my channel. I hope I can inspire you x
@@ParisHedger im having problems with implementing a good steady fitbess throughout my student live. I study, i work part-time, have family and friends and yeah. When im in university, i manage to go to the gym regularly, but in summer when im studying at home and working, i just kinda forget and boom 2 months without serious fitness
Rafaela Scheiwiller aw wow your so busy!! Sounds a bit like myself but I’m at school instead of uni and only work part time. Maybe try and plan out ur week on a Sunday night and see when you can fit in some quick workouts at home or go to the gym and then have some nights where you food prep ❤️
@@ParisHedger thanks for the ideas ^~^.
Are even small workouts helpful? Because im used to going at least an hour, so im quick to say "yeah dont have time for that today"
Yay, I've been waiting for this video! Notification squad! 💃🏻❤
Thank you so much!! I'm so happy you waited!! All my love xx
@@natachaoceane thank you for being SO hardcore (those pullups omg) and such an inspiration!, your strength and drive help motivate me to try new things and be my best in the gym! 🙌🏻❤
This is truly amazing! I have so many soldiers that can lift weight, or run, or do push ups all day but are usually poor in 1 of the events on their physical testing. For you to max out all scores with little training well done.
Awesome! I’d love to see you do the Combat Fitness Test next!
YOU DID AMAZING! I almost cried for you at the 11th pull-up so proud!!
Mario is so sweet and supportive ☺️ Congrats Natacha!!!💪🏼💪🏼
I am so impressed with her performance.
That last pull up and the extra crunches.
You would do the Marines proud.
Keep up the hard work.
