  • In this video, I show how the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV metal detector works (I found it during one of my magnet fishing videos!) I use two coils for it. The 7 inch and and the 4inch Gold Nugget Coil. I searched in Tone Mode and Disc Mode. I ended up finding lots of junk, but also found wheat pennies and some other coins!

That is incredible found in a junk pile and Wow still beeps.. .Works great.. The Bounty Hunter TK4 Sure does the job..My first detector was this one and it found me lots of coinage and Jewelry and of course The TRASH. but once I got the hang of it not a lot of trash dug. .Awesome Score and Good Finds..

Thanks! I did have to fashion my own pole for it and buy the coil but it's still working well! I do like digging coins but sometimes the trash makes for a more interesting video!

It'll detect even better if you replace the metal pole on the end with a plastic length of pipe. I used to play with these things all the time.

I have 2 BH Tracker IV’s A trick you probably know by now is when you get a big signal start lifting the coil higher. If it is still there it’s likely a can or something else similar. If it fades quickly you may be looking at a 1/2 dollar, full silver dollar or a coin spill. I’ve dug way too many coins. The Tracker IV is very capable, not fancy but if you learn it, you can find coins with it. I’ve watched many videos on it. They say to turn sensitivity up until it starts making noise, then back off a hair. Set to Disc or Tone and disc knob at 3 o’clock. Watched further in the video and saw you figured that out. Great video. Are you still detecting?

Good video. I'm going to get a Tracker 4 as a backup to my Nokta Makro Simplex. Going keep it in the trunk of car just in case I need a detector unexpectedly.

Good idea! Might be good especially if you have a junky area you want to clear and use battery from the Tracker 4 then use your Simplex to dial in some deeper finds.

Awesome thank you! I'd like to go mudlarking here, but there's not as much history in the mud as you have.

It depends on the time I have. Sometimes I will go in with a high setting to ensure I only dig stuff that's likely a coin if I'm short on time or if it's an area I don't want to over dig. Other times I'll dig it all knowing that I will get a lot of trash.

Hey I just found your channel! Fun stuff, may I ask where did you order the coil from? Curious because I have only found one source for the coil and would like to see if yours is better! Good day bud.
