- YES! IT IS TRUE!
Here are the stats:
1) Removes 99% of plaque biofilm.
2) Waterpik Water Flosser has the greatest potential of any self-care device for subgingival access into a pocket (Up to 6mm below the gum line!)
3) Waterpik Water Flosser is 29% more effective at removing plaque from proximal areas than string floss.(YES, read that again!)
Firstly, the string floss just had one job BUT couldn’t even do it better than Waterpik! These are statistics we are all waiting to hear.
If flossing with string is a hassle, now there is more reason to trust Waterpik and let it handle all the dirty work for you! It is a small investment that truly benefits your oral routine!

Since this is sponsored, I would like to see an independent study show the same thing. A water flosser cannot and never will be able to floss the interproximal contact where cavities form as regular floss can. What happens when a patient gets a "flossing cavity" and a dental professional tells them about it? They will say, "But I was told that a water flosser is better than regular floss."
Exactly haha. A study from an institution that isn’t named “WATERPIK LLC” please! Lol!
That's a fact.
I feel like the only real benefit of water flossing is the simple fact that your hydrating your gums. It took me a while to accept that string flossing is mandatory
@@apollo105 and what exacted does hydrating your gums mean? The are soaked in your own saliva 24/7.
@@nitrodoc negro i dont know 🤣. I use regular floss just making an assumption
It is best to use both normal string is better for getting in between the teeth and the water flossed is better for the guns
Facts right here
I use this for my braces and it is reversing my gingivitis thank you ❤
Do you use normal floss or just water floss? I'll get braces and I'm afraid of not cleaning them properly
They are both important.
String flossing gets between the contact point of your teeth and gets the bacteria that the water floss can not get, helping prevent cavities.
Water flossing is great for your gums and stimulates the tissue helping combat gingivitis and gum diseases.
You should incorporate both into your dental hygeine routine unless told otherwise by your dentist.
Always speak to your dentist about the best care for your situation.
I broke my tooth string flossing
I use the waterpik brush tip.
I appreciate the words of motivation i feel like alot of people needed to hear that
