I have often reminded the dear Lord that I in the slow school for Christians, as in developmentally delayed. I know only His grace and mercy can lead me on.
I never thought I would have Parkinson’s Disease at 52 and disabled. I have a potentially fatal disease and I use it to laugh. I love messing with people with it 😂. No matter what I know God loves me and with take care of me. ❤
I am sorry that you are dealing with this disease. Prayers that you will find healing and strength. Please consider a heavy meat diet: ketogenic/carnivore. It is astounding how many people have experienced improvements in neurological symptoms and so many ailments. Look up Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Dr Ken Berry, Dr Paul Mason and Dr Eric Westman. There are many others… one hundred years ago before anti-seizure medications epilepsy was treated with the ketogenic diet. 🙏🙏🙏

I so needed this. Last night I watched a tiktok stating that prideful people have a leviathan spirit; that it makes them stiffnecked and consequently these individuals have back and neck problems. I became very defensive, which made me realize that I suffer with this sinful pride (along w the back n neck problems). I asked the Lord to help me identify how I was prideful and lo and behold, less than 24hrs later this video just happens to pop up... why didn't it do so 2 weeks ago? Praise God. I wasn't ready, but I am now. 🎉
I'm not a catholic, but I've started watching every one of Father Mike's videos. It's amazing how many times he's talking about the exact thing I need help with that day. This video helped me a lot today. I'm in the process of getting a new job and moving and my goal is to start going to a Catholic church by the end of the year. Thank you father Mike.
I’m not tired of needing God but I’m ashamed that I’m not always the child I should be for him, considering the breadth of his love for me. I know that’s pride. I will never be good enough but his love won’t waver. I also often get frustrated that the world distracts me from God.

Just because I can’t comprehend your love for me, doesn’t excuse my lack of total acceptance. Give me the gift of surrender, the grace to just be with you and know that you will never leave me, even at the end of time. Let me go to sleep at night and wake each morning with joy in my heart because with my Father’s arms around me, I can do and face anything. Amen.
I hope to not muddy the waters of the spiritual life for you. However, I struggled here too. I found out it was more about scrupulosity than pride. Sure all of us struggle with some level of pride. Please consider reading "I believe in Love" and Humility of Heart. If you struggle with pride both will help. If you struggle with scrupulosity, I believe in Love will help and Humility of heart will make you a bit more scrupulous but will provide you the confidence that it's not so much pride. Because the book clearly defines and displays pride. The scrupulous person can gain clarity that it's not so much pride as it is scrupulous behavior. Like a mirror that helps confirm this for us. That's at least my experience with it. Scrupulosity will highlight our sin. Since all sin comes from pride. The scrupulous person with detailed self examine will conclude they are prideful. It's like a formula for the scrupulous Great sin + can't stop = pride Plus Satan loves conjuring up lies and making you despair.
That’s exactly how I am feeling right now. My husband of 41 years passed away 2 years ago and I feel like I just can’t take the sadness anymore. Too many losses in my life.
If we remember Jesus asked us to pick up and carry our cross with him, that we are broken and not perfect, remember that we cannot see or know what he has planned for us…it’s just over the horizon or out of time-pray, and just get on your knees-he is carrying you. ❤
Father Mike. I just heard a Jewish Orthodox fellow online Berel Solomon, say, that "when we feel we are buried in deep, dark places, maybe, we arent being buried, but we're being planted!" I hear these words in my heart, because it's when Ive been in such despair, wishing on God in my life, that this, this, is the time, when He comes, in the deepest, darkest moment and I see Him, hugging me, "planting me!" ..... "My yoke is light." (Jesus.)

God bless you both ❤ 🙏🙏🙏 If she is really ailling and in pain, I remember years ago when my mom was in that situation, she asked me why God doesn’t let her die. I had no answer but I believe God spoke to her through me, He is letting you spend your purgatory on earth among those who love you so you can go straight to heaven. And I received a sign shortly after her death that she was in heaven 😊
Prayers for this lady 🙏Is she feeling lonely? Please tell her that this person who has never met her, sends the biggest hug and the biggest heart of love to her. And God loves her more than she will ever know. Could you ask a local priest to talk with her? She may need community support but is unable to reach out.
Holy Spirit cannot dwell in someone who is full of themselves (literally). Through humiliation, through the opportunity to realize that we aren't what our pride had projected, we come to see that our vision was myopic and turned inwards, we detach from all expectations and begin to look OUT to see what God (the one who is greater than us) is doing and where he may be calling us to action. Count it all a blessing when God allows adversity or humiliation to visit you. He is giving you an opportunity to rectify your path and get one step closer to him, the uncreated, the perfect one, the king of kings and Lord of Lords.
This sounds like me, however, it's not that I need God that bothers me; it's that I keep falling! I pray daily more than once a day; and when I go to bed and one of my prayers for myself is to be courageous, not cowardly. That I fall every day, makes me feel like a fraud, that God will get sick of hearing from me, especially when some of those sins (like, say cursing) are a bit too often. Granted, they are less, so there is some progress, but still... I sometimes picture God saying: "Ok Felicia, enough already. Get it together." Thanks as always, Fr. I recently saw a video of a Jewish man who became convinced of Christianity. He said his friends and family noticed he was more patient and stopped cursing. This happened suddenly at the time of his conversion, w/out him trying. God is more than capable of getting you to stop sinning. If you are struggling w/something, maybe it is as the message of this video says - He wants you to keep needing Him.
Yes, this video resonates with me especially recently too. We can't fall into discouragement though! God's power is so great, and remembering the descent of the holy spirit upon the apostles, we can have faith that the Holy Spirit is beyond powerful too. So keep having faith that God is working in you even when it doesn't look like it! It feels difficult because it's not for US to handle. Something that might help you in particular is to understand the power of words. God spoke our entire world into existence. "He said 'let there be light'." If all creation was made through words, that shows words can be powerful. On the flip side, curses are casted with words because words *mean* something. We need to be careful with our tongues. They can either wield good or evil. Sounds like a strange sentence but anyways, I will pray for you! I hope you know God will never give up on you, he just needs you to know it's not as easy for you as you think it might be, so it's okay to ask him for help throughout the difficulty. Even Jesus struggled if you remember his agony in the garden. An angel had to come down and strengthen him. Humans can only do so much, we are fickle, but God is steadfast. I hope the best for you friend

Pray for me. I have a panic disorder, especially around religious matters, and have had a massive attack since a week before Tuesday. I can barely eat.
Yes, I am convicted all the time of my failings. With that said, Ive stopped judgeing myself in a way that leads to any doubt, either in myself or in Gods plan. I can only do so much and I can never accomplish what God has planned without Him. His grace is the only reason I grow, so I do what I can and wait on Him for the rest. I need Him and I will never be ashamed of that. In my failing I turn to Him, in my triumpth I turn to Him. That's kinda the point. We can not do it on our own and we don't know His time table, so I do my best to be patient, thank Him for all lessons, humblings and small victories.
Please pray for us if you can spare a few seconds, my fiance and I are quitting smoking and it's been a huge challenge for us both, tried and failed many times, it's messed up. This time we are really praying and hoping to make it. So tired of this trash habit 😢 PS. any quitting tips or words of encouragement below are welcome, TIRED OF FAILING
I was never able to quit smoking. Now I have stage 3 COPD and have finally stopped. I have to take 3 breathing treatments at home every day. I use 2 inhalers and take allergy pills. I sleep with supplementary oxygen at night. And I have flare-ups that can send me to the hospital and require steroids and antibiotics. This will never get better, only worse. I never thought it would happen to me. Please quit. It's hard, but you will never regret it like I do. But God is good and I will say a prayer for your success ❤
1. Reduce the number of cigarettes you take per day. Keep reducing it gradually until you stop completely 2. Replace your craving for cigarettes with a healthy food e. g when you crave a cigarette, eat a carrot instead. You can also engage in others healthy habit like go on a walk, call a loved one e.t.c 3. Have an accountability person or people You can call when you feel like smoking. 4. Hang high resolution pictures of smokers lungs in your apartment. Your bed room, living area, kitchen, bathroom, along the stairs if you have a stairs. 5. Keep all the money you would have used to buy cigarettes in a Jar and use to to do something good for yourself weekly or monthly. You can also use it to do something good for others. 7. Stay away from people and places that might trigger your craving. Besides when you are in the company of people or a person that smoking, you are also inhaling the smoke which is bad for lungs 8. Write a list of all things you want to accomplish in life and remember that an healthy lifestyle might hinder you from accomplishing your goals and enjoying the success that comes with it 9. Hang a picture of Jesus with the words of I love you written on it. To remind yourself that he loves you and wants the best for you which includes a healthy set of lungs. Let me know how this goes for you

It's easy to not be humble when you have never tried to do anything that is actually difficult. It's easy to be overconfident when you have never been put to the test.

Thank you Father Mike for this video! I have been disappointed in myself the last month after a few months of bliss. I expected to fall, but I was still discouraged that I still fell so quickly and completely. I have Confession and Adoration today, so I hope to use this day to turn things around.
I couldn't believe what you were saying at first but after you explained. I realize it is my pride in action. I feel like I am failing all the time over everything. As always I ask God for help and then usually say I am so sorry to be failing again my Lord. I know I can do anything with the help of our Lord Jesus. Jesus, I trust in you.
