Blake Grice In the past this blower scared almost everyone who came to it. We are using 3 chain saws this year in our haunt but only because we have older teens. You do not want a kid to trip and land on someone with a chainsaw. A leaf blower is only for haunts that can not use a chainsaw.
In my haunt, the last actor uses an electric prop chainsaw to chase the patrons out. Its way better if you're in an indoor haunt, because you don't have to worry about having so much ventilation because of the exhaust. And you can adjust the volume, and it starts right up because its an electric prop.
Air blower is a neat idea but id argue that a chainsaw is still scarier psychologically since a chainsaw can actually hurt someone. So people don't really have that layer of threat in a air blower. All you have to do is be careful of the exhaust. Both have their own pros and cons though,
I don't think somebody would be more scared of a fricken leaf blower than a chainsaw. I've never seen a horror movie were somebody get murdered by a leaf blower... Chainsaw wins. 🎃🔪🔫🗡
I actually tried using a leafblower on Halloween to scare people, but I got very little reaction. I would never use a leaf blower at the haunted house I work at. Also, I work 4-hour shifts of starting up the chainsaw and I never got tired because of how much fun it was. The only downside to chainsaws in my mind is if you are indoors then the exhaust fills the room. The best scare with the saw is when you lunge for there feet, they will literally climb up the wall.
we use a circular saw for just the noise, blade removed of course. some times its all it takes is the noise to get them.also if need be it adds comic relief if the actor were to run far enough that the cord gets unpluged. Do you have any walk through footage of your haunt?
i agree, plus you can always take the long tube off the blower, and somehow put a light wooden homemade blade, or even a foam blade on to look like a chainsaw
Brad, Don't take the comments bashing you for a leaf blower personally... most people who use "the saw" could not get the scares they do as a plan Scareactor without props. I can definitely see how the gas leaf blower would do the job in a dark haunt. Especially if you remove the big plastic tube and hack it to look more like a saw blade. This would help keep the scare going beyond just the sounds. The added air effect is very cool as well. -Steve
Yes Its not the same its safe and easy for kids. You should try it out in the dark before you decide. A chainsaw is louder and lookes great if you are not in the dark so try both and you will see why I use a blower. thanks for looking and comments.
Last year, me and my friends basically used it as a subset. Like in this video. Theres slits in the tarp. So what we did was.. There was a long straight away we had. Which was the exit, he started it from what it seemed right beside them to their left. But then one of my other friends came from the right, with an actual chainsaw and chased them out - ps; it scared the crap out of everyone nearly everytime. Only because no one expected it. :)
I have the same model chainsaw used in the original Texas Chainsaw movies and it is awesome but it is a very heavy saw so only I use it. I wont be healed responsible for someone injuring another person with my saw. I have taken professional classes to learn how to control it on a Haunted trail so no one will get hurt.
bradsboobarn Not sure if they offer it online or not. But it was offered by a haunting convention that was going on around where I live. also how can I get ahold of you easily I would like to talk with you about your website.
Its 2018, we did a backyard haunted house 3 years now, 2 of them where with a chainsaw. We al got trained NOT to run with a chainsaw because of the danger, and even if they fall, I can not figure out how to hit them while they are on the ground though. I like the idea but in the Netherlands backyards are not that big and if we have decorations on tables and hanging lamps, a blower would be more dangerous than a chainsaw
I feel like this is...improper. From working at a haunted house and running the chainsaw scare, it is not the real thing. The sound of a true chainsaw firing up, it's irreplaceable. A couple things to keep in mind when selecting chainsaw actors/actresses, first they must have experience. You don't shove a new person into the chainsaw scare. That's irresponsible. Two, if you are selected to be a chainsaw person, you clearly have enough stamina to last chainsaw. Third, people do get hurt in haunted houses. Panic attacks, asthma attacks, falling on their asses because they are drunk, etc. Fourth, if you are worried about kids (who go through the haunt), you're actors/actresses should realize you do not attack the kids (on purpose) otherwise you risk scarring the kids for life. What fun is that?
the only issue with chainsaws especially after a long long time of the throttle just wide open the muffler bolts will vibrate loose and the muffler will fall off and start blowing out everyones ears
i run a chainsaw in my haunt and do not get fetiuqged at all. they are not really dangerous because you have that arms length rule unless your a full contact haunt.
we run a professional haunted attraction & I will tell everyone one awesome way to scare your visitors with a chainsaw . Take the muffler off of the chainsaw much more louder & scary sounding the visitors freak out from it hahaha
Hey dude I'm not being a hater I'm 11 and im using a homelite 16" chainsaw this year and it is light and dechaind. My dad showed me how to use it properly and he taught me good. But good idea for the kids who's parents don't let them use a gas chainsaw I agree with ur words but sorry man I'm all for chainsaws cool scare hallway!
Zinky We are using 3 chain saws this year in our haunt but only because we have older teens. You do not want a kid to trip and land on someone with a chainsaw. A leaf blower is only for haunts that can not use a chainsaw.
@PuertoRicanBoi127 I argee with you that actors do not use saws and other props the way they should. For small haunts its hard to get good actors to work for free. If you are not a strong man it is too hard to start, carry and scare using a chainsaw. If I could run the saw I know it would be ok but a heavy saw is too much for a small actor. almost all our guestes thought our blowers were a saw and yes they are scary. Try one this year and you will see how great they work. Thanks for the input.
My twin brother and I are chainsaw clowns and using the chainsaw is way better then using a leaf blower because you get better scares. But last year 2017 we had one of our coworkers use our hand held leaf blower and it worked pretty well cause my brother or I would pop out with a chainsaw then they would pop out with the leaf blower. Some of the guests didn’t realize it was a leaf blower until they got scared.
Y’all if it’s dark they think it’s a chainsaw it’s the fear of getting cut if something has the shape of a chainsaw and sounds loud nobody’s gonna stop and think hmmm !!! Is that a leaf blower
I am a kid and I use a chainsaw at my house on Halloween and I can promise you if I was in a haunt and they were using a leaf blower I wouldn’t be scared
hey man i love all of your videos but this is where i have do disagree with you. I work at Beyond The Gate Haunted Trail and we use chainsaws due to the fact that you get a bigger scare from them......I personaly would never use a leaf blower instead of a chainsaw i would just find somethin else to scare the fress blood with lol but the scaricters on our trail have been trained on what to do in a worst case cenario other wise i agree wit you and ur vids ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
people might be afraid of the leaf blower for a few seconds till they see it is just a leaf blower and then they feel stupid for a little bit cuz they got scared by a leaf blower
hey brad i love your videos but i do have to disagree aswell i work at a haunted attraction called field of scream s lancaster pa and i have a haunt of my own Bobos clown house. chainsaws are not bad to use due to the fact tht people are scared of chainsaws. you also said about people falling, if your using a leaft blower people can still fall haha. But yeah i like your videos brad!!!
Omg but their hands could trip someone lol I'm sorry but I just watched this for laughs. I have kids for that reason the leaf blower would be effective but if you're going all boy scout and playing it safe for a real scary haunted house this ain't gonna do it sorry gotta have the chainsaw and if you know what you're doing you can pull it off successfully. I've worked a few haunts and putting on my 2nd annual haunt and never had issue with someone running into someone with chainsaw you know why? Cuz they know what they are doing and know what distance to keep lol even ran a haunt with 6 chainsaws... no problems. Again good for kid scares but if you doing serious haunt use chainsaw!
I'm terrified of leaf blowers.
Said no one ever.

Well maybe that leafblower... Could it be... SATAN?!
Nah man, I use a chainsaw WITH a chain
that;s fuked lmfao
Yeah but you don't touch anyone though
@@obvioustroll5221where’s the fun in that 😂

OH SHIT, RUN HONEY!!!!! IT'S LEATHER FACE AND HIS LEAF BLOWER!!!!!!
Good idea! I like that you get a 2-for-1 hit out of the leaf blower: sound and air.
Rich

I like this guy seems nice🙂

You can't tell it's a leaf blower. MANY haunted houses use leaf blowers.
It's the noise and something LOUD and BIG coming at you!!!

OneWound very true
I agree leaf blowers are more safer than chainsaws
This guy must drive a Honda Ridgeline ;)
yes i hace done that too, works great and inside you get no gass fumes. great work blackflame516
I as a scare actor love chainsaws leaf blowers not so much. I would rather be chased by a monster wielding a chainsaw
Ok I don’t wanna be mean but are u joking or not
i find chainsaws way more frightening then leaf blowers to. And u dont hit people in the back if ur cautious of how to run a chainsaw
I’m terrified of leaf blowers!....said nobody ever

Thanks, love to see you one day in washington. I would love to see a big haunt as our are small in the northwest. Have a great day and keep haunting.
I shit my self when I saw that leaf blower
Hahahahahahaha!!!! ROTFF!!! Hahahahahaha!!!
I put foam peace’s that look like a chainsaw on the side of this which scares people.
What a buzz kill (pun intended)😜

I would always use a ryobi grass trimmer but take off the blade

Actually people can trip at night and you can run in to that person and it hurts
i love ai
I'm just gonna say I'm not using a leaf blower
you can make a airtificial fog blower?
You got a boring haunted house
And of we have neither?
