This is just a friendly heads-up for anyone stopping by. America uses the exact type and sequence of chords in most of its popular hits. It's ALL about major and minor 7 chords with America, and if your hand size permits, you can make some fuller-sounding chords utilizing the basic "7" chords by transforming them into "9" or "11"s Here's the breakdown... A Horse with No Name: Open-E octave with the left hand, E-minor 7 1st inversion on the right. THEN, open-F sharp octave on the left and F-sharp minor 7 on the right. That's the basic back-and-forth that occurs in most of the song. Arguably, there is some consonance during the non-lexical vocables (the famous la-la-la)... that is where one of my all-time favorite chords, the G-major 7 is involved. Switch between that chord and the already stated F-sharp minor 7 during that part of the chorus, and there you have it... A Horse with No Name. Ventura Highway: We welcome our friend G-Major 7 back into the mix. Open-G octave on the left and a G-major 7 on the right. THEN, another one of my all-time favorites, an open-D octave on the left and a D-Major 7 on the right. That is the back-and-forth we're looking for until the second part of the chorus, beginning with "Cause' the free wind"... this is where we welcome back the E-octave in the left and an E-minor 7 chord on the right. This goes between the aforementioned F-sharp octave on the left, F-sharp minor 7 on the right. Those are the only four chords used in the entire song. That's Ventura Highway. Tin Man: This is very simple. It begins with an open-C octave on the left and a C-major 7 on the right, then quickly to a regular open-D octave and a D-major chord. This sets up what is to come for the rest of the song. For most of the way, we do a back-and-forth between a open-G octave left with G-Major 7 right, and the open-C octave with a C-major 7 right.
I agree with the other requests here, can you kindly post a tutorial for this? Also, if you dont mind can you please tell me the brand and model of this piano? Thank you 🙏🏻
I will, what I need first is a nice overhead camera and an ounce of editing skills. My piano is a 1995 Young Chang G-157. I really like the sound, I find it to be not too bright or warm, it fits the room's acoustics well. I got lucky it sounds so well.
My fault! I don't have any immediate plans to release a tutorial, but I may be getting an overhead camera soon, which will make a tutorial video more likely.

Hands down the best cover I've heard for this song.
Thanks, that’s definitely what I was going for
Finally a good piano cover of this on youtube
One of the motives to compose this was the lack of solid covers on RUclips already… I appreciate your support
This is so good mate

Congratulations, can you do tuto vidéo please !!!!
BADASS 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!
How long did that take you to learn that song on Piano?
Not very long, probably a couple of days. The left hand rotates between only two chords and the right hand is pretty repetitive too.
Can you play "Johnny Ace Pledging My Love"? You're an excellent musician keep going, who knows when you could make it big time!
@@Red_Spirit11 Thanks so much! I'll definitely keep that song on my list to learn
