Saw them on this tour and saw them a week ago….still a killer live band.
Dave is ageless.
Criminally underrated.
They used to come over party at my house when I was like 10 smoking weed I'd walk in give the signal I was coming in like I didn't know. I forget which one was dating my sisters friend. They'd take me to see them rehearsal at Weekes Park in Hayward. A community center
Insane…
@@dlohtreb yes. Bizarre watching them rehearse at age 11. Ummm me. Not them that is... 😅
Y&T ROCKS
Watching Y&T...... REHEARSAL....now that would be .......cool.......
@@jimmienonya8912 a few years back I got to watch sound check that was cool it was their first time playing cache creek casino
One of those bands that fell through the cracks. Black Tiger lp got some airplay on the radio, great live band, saw them in the 80s.
now this is what you call good old Rock n Roll Love this shit!!!!
No shit at all. Very Hard Real stuff, any of this i have ever heard. "Shit" May be of honouring, The very long time, of this super kinda marvellous band.
I was playing in a metal cover band in Santa Cruz in 85 and we covered some of these songs. Y&T at their peak. Wow, introduced by the great Bill Graham.
HeyGREAT comment,DITTO!
Seen them in 1976,when they were Yesterday & Today, with Journey at Hayward Memorial auditorium in California never forget it. Still jamming to them. Great Rocking band. RIP, Joey, Lenard & Phil. Keep on Rocking Dave.
Yeah, I saw Yesterday and Today shortly after the released their debut record. Killer live band. Like Stuck Down as well. Rescue me is one of the best power ballads of the e80's. So why didn't they break big? Probably because they were chasing fashion trends and AM hits. For example, they didn’t write Lipstick and Leather or Keep On Believing" (originally titled "Do You Know") . Their label wanted pop hits and Y&T bought the songs from a Bay Area band called Bennie and the Jets
@@markmark4180 Struck down one of my favorite albums, Beautiful dreamer & Ten lovers great jams.
When Rock was Really Rock......!!
"I Still Believe...... in You"👊😎🤘
Dave's voice......killer.
I was there.. One of my first real rock concerts, awesome! And just saw Y&T last week playing in San Juan Capistrano and they were equally awesome.
I've seen a couple of their concerts at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano They were absolutely awesome
Some of my best memories of my teen years include Y&T and seeing them play all over the Bay Area! ❤
I was at that Day on the Green in Oakland California , fantastic day !Y&T rocks my world too ❤🎶🎵
Wow I was there as well. And Y&T kicked butt that day. They sounded amazing. Day on the green was such a great event. Sucks we don't have those anymore or bands like Y&T that were worthy of going to see
I was there
My first concert. I was there for Y&T and Scorpions. Didn't know anything about Metallica at the time.
@@Robert-li4cr Yes, I seen a lot of Day on the green show's those were the day's, Bill Graham put on the best concerts, my 2 favorites was Eddie Money, Santana & the Rolling Stones. The other Lynyrd Skynyrd, Edgar Winter band with Rick Derringer & Johnny Winter band, & the Winter brothers Jam Great memories.
God Speed Leonard, you were exceptional and an inspiration. Dave lost Y and T when he lost you.
Yes! I was there too🤘🏼. Best hard rock band in SF Bay area/all of northr'n Calif. This was taped for Mtv concerts, I vcr'd it. Twisted Sister opened up, they were insane, Dee and the bassist, ready to fight kids in the balcony lol.
Awesome memories of all the Y&T gigs, all the old clubs long gone too.
R I P Joey, Leonard and Phil🕯
Metal blessings to you, Dave, rippin' n shreddin' on the Les Paul🤘🏼Forever!
And Lita Ford!
Wow!Y&T at Bill Graham's Civic 85'
The Bay Areas secret gem just like EMB, what the rest of the country missed out on.
The most underrated band of all time. I put them right up there with the Stones and Zeppelin as far as talent goes.
Dave " F'n" Meniketti simply the best Rocker.
Hope the audio can be resynced sometime for this show.
Keystone Palo Alto 80/81 was a favorite location at that time..
Love this band!!
Love this band. Wish i could have seen them live
POWER i love this BAND a lot of music LOVERS dont KNOW who y nt r. WHY
Lynyrd HAZE is ONE HELL OF MY IDEA OF THE GREAT KIND OF R N R DRUMMER ANY BODY. DISAGREE ?? AND Y N T. IS A GREAT BAD TO THE BONE. AND IS UNDERRATED ?? DISAGREE ?? LONG LIVE Y N T 😛😍🌈🌴🏝🌊🌊🦈🥀😒🦇🦇🦂
@@stephengiffith1010 I'd say, that you are up two, nothing!
I grew up listening to Y&T. Thanks to my parents. Dave has such a great voice! Love this band!
I was at this show with my aunt they were doing the recording told everyone to just have fun and not pay attention to the camera going up and down on the ropes. They gave out these triangle metal tins that you were to hold up when they asked to do some cool things with the lights 🤣🤩 I think I saw them about 7 times in a couple years my aunt was in love with them. I was in Junior High my first shows kids at school thought I was so cool 😂😂😂
Thanks for posting this , I was at this concert when I was 15 Twisted Sister , Lita Ford and Y&T . I've seen them many times since then and have never been disappointed.... Long live Y&T
Reading comments while listening to the album EARTH SHA R 🤗
K E 😊
I wore Earthshaker OUT.
I wore the Earthshaker cassette out you couldn't read either side finally tape just snapped....😅
Saw them on this tour, opening for Motley Crue, on their Theater of Pain tour.
I was more exited about seeing Y&T. They did not disappoint. Wish Y &T had played a longer set.
Nice and loud great guitar player ☺️☺️🎸🎸
Ordered it online from America..The audio was out of sync, been messing with it but this is as good I can get it..🥴
@@CasperEatwell still sounds good to me 😘😘🍻
@@lindakirk5668 Thanks Sweety👍
@@CasperEatwell anytime 😜😜
Just been listening to Bruce Springsteen not played any for a while 😉😉
Thank you David.
I was at this show. My friends band was the opening act.
Your friend's band was Twisted Sister or Lita Ford?
@@thehorrordebate2990 No, "Hans Naughty" band. They were not advertised for the show.
Они стали одной из самых любимых моих групп. К сожалению услышал их совсем недавно и плевать, что они не достигли, каких то там, высот в рейтингах, для меня это не показатель. Грустно, что из первоначального состава остался один человек.
Yes they are a great band that didn't get the credit
Yeah well if there must be only one remaining…
GREAT STUFF thanks.
I saw Y&T in Austin a few years back. Actually saw them three time in about three years here. Excellent set list and the band sounded great. What I would to go back to 1981-89.
Thank you ian.
Y&T, definitely one of the great unsung bands of the 80's. Radio pretty much ignore them despite having great songs and top notch Live shows.
Back in the Day, I was playing some poker with friends from work and one(T.M.) said he was going to hire them to play and we dared him and he did - at a skating ring in South San Francisco in 81. He was working the kegs and handing out free beers to friends :)
They were huge in Japan....Dave Meneketti is absolutely a legend in hard rock....
Used to see him hang at guitar center Santa Clara California....
I was at this show.. Agree with the comment below on Dave Pink out fit! What the hell Dave.. ha! Still see them (Dave and the new crew) here in the Bay Area. Dave still rocks. Have seen them since the Yesterday and Today break out years. Love me some Y &T!!!!
ENJOY❤🎉
Wow
I was there and they rocked .
Awesome the original lineup
I'm totally in love for san san francisco, because of levi's jeans, and it's the partnercity of zürich, switzerland. I'm swiss. Bye us.
WAS A BIG FAN FOR YEARS
.... AFTER FEATHER FALLS CASINO I CAN'T STAND THEM.....
Joey ALva. , Phil (something, base), DM, and Drummer Big Leonard Hayes, Best single Base Foot in Rock! Got Bless Leonards soul! Later in Life after Leonard left that Band, he was working for a Home Screen company, and he happened to replace my Mothers Screen Door the animals had ruined over the years. We know that Leonard past with some type of Breathing sickness- it was fun to hear mom got to meet him. But what a bummer to be so high at one point Y&T's Great Career and then to be asked tog leave band and do what Screens? Anyway, before Leonard died, DM and the current band had him guest drum a number of songs (I=only a few, Leonard was on portable Oxygen and would run out of breath). But Dedicate my thoughts and prayers top he and his family still as Leonard was one of my inspirations to take up the drums at 14 years old in the Garage in Santa Clara CA in the early 80's! Fun memories!
Civic center in Marin? Damn. Literally grew up in Terra Linda
I thought it was the Warfield
San Francisco.
This is in San Francisco at the Civic. Now called Bill Grahams Civic
Bill Graham Civic Center in San Francisco is where it was recorded. Back when you could safely go to San Francisco.
Absolutely San Francisco. I was there. It was a 45 min drive from the east bay and well worth it! They rocked!
We all came up in the same neighborhood some became prominent Stars and we became the ones who would back them Phil lived on Gramercy ave in Fairmont Terrace right behind me. Troy Lucketta down the street. That was when you could go roadie for a night 🌙 and make 10$ a lot of us became renound in our own right , Adam Day, Mark Newman, Tom and Mc Bob Mayhue
Dave is a bad mfer!
The soundtrack doesn't seem to match the video.
I would love to obtain this video!
Ebay VHS, DVD other places
I see that meniketti plays my guitare, Gibson les paul standard model iced tea. I know it, because the colour is brown and turns to beige. I payed 3000 swissfrancs 2 and a halfyear ago, that was a gift for my 60's birthday. Cheers!!!!!!!
Still such smokin' Hot, Hard rockin' stuff.. Yebah, hell yeah.. =D
Pretty sure this was 84, They played in Seattle a few days later and I recognize the setup. They played the Kabuki in SF 85
I believe you are right. The bill in 84 was Twisted Sister - YT - Lita Ford - Y&T did a back in west coast trip on Open Fire 1985 Late Summer No opener
This is 1984 - In Rock We Trust Tour at Cow Palace. They headlined just this show instead of Twisted Sister for a Live Taping AND because YT owned the Bay Area.
@@-RAMS-FAN Yeah TS opened the show in Seattle as well. We drove back to Vancouver after the gig and hit a chicken that was running across I-5 😂😂I have no idea why it was there but I've never forgotten that 🤣🤣
It WAS, 1984. I never COULD figure out WHY 1985, got attached to it.
@@-RAMS-FANonly the gig was at the SF Civic Center auditorium, downtown civic center plaza, I was there🤘🏼. The concert was shown on mtv when they aired cool gigs back then
What is Meniketti wearing? Oh wait it's 85 nevermind 😂
Great OG set list bummer Audio sync is off 🙁 smoking local band from the 70’s. Really miss Len, Phil and Joey. Daves still in good shape and sounds good because he never really partied. Youngsters take note 🎸🔥 late nite May 24’
I may switch things up a bit. Not yet though. You would never see this on FB. Unoluf it forever!
Like a Disney e-ticket 18:07
❤😅
pink outfit with white cowboy boots? now that's a stage show look..
Rip Leonard, biggest drum sticks ever
Not nearly as big as Bun E Carlos sticks in 1978 on the song "Goodnight now"
Their is an overlap in the recording. someone should have taken though out before uploading to RUclips. this concert isn't entirely 75 minutes because of that.
love y &t just not the purple pants suit....lol
I love it
Their stage clothing is indeed cringe worthy. Love the music though, especially the drummer.
can someone add timestamps for each song
I think in europe 99.9% don't know this band, because they gave never concerts outside the us. That's sad.
Audio & Video needs to be Synced up!
Agree!
Saw ‘em in 8/85 opening for the Crue and Accept at The Manning Bowl in Lynn,MA.
No Summertime Girls at this show??
Must not have been filmed?
No cell phones....
twisted sister opened up
And Dee is still 🥺😪
Bill Graham?
That was him! Introducing the band
Bill Ghram put on the best shows in the Bay area, Seen so many concerts at Winterland & Day on the green at Oakland Coliseum, 1970's was the best Rocking bar none.
Seems like time space continuum is off…a little ahead of actual musical moments, otherwise great recording!
Maybe I’m insane…now it seems right on lol…never mind me, now it’s off again 🤯
Shit HOSS!! this is awesome!!! Love y&t.......the stars aligned perfect in the city by the bay that particular great EVENING .....
Know the feeling… hang’m high bro ❤️🔥
Nem gondoltam hogy ekkora tömegeket vonzottak.
sync issues
Big time!
Dio-Y&T-Dokken, Cow Palace
New Years Eve
Yep
His voice sounds a little like Sammy Hagar's.
Yeah, but Dave's faster vibrato gives him away.
Dave has a more "soulful groove"👊
It is a trip to hear Dave and Sammy on stage together. Wish the would collaborate more. But probably won’t happen. Two classic elite rock vocalists who have both retained their abilities long after most do.
Agreed
1:17 NOT EVEN AT THE MIKE???!!!
I noticed that. I'm pretty sure that was an editing flaw in the studio after the fact, nothing deceptive the band did. Video editors can be idiots.
The video and music is recorded separately...the music tracks are studio mixed and the synced to the audio...they fucked up the sync...still an audio live performance.
Is their any way to sync the audio to the video. They are out of sync slightly at the beginning and seems to get worse as the video goes on.
Is there anyone who can re-synch the sound? All the versions of this show become more out of synch as time goes on and its unbearable LOL!!!!!!
I tried re-synching myself without success...it starts off ok but goes out the longer the show goes on and yes it is frustrating..
Yeah I would love to watch this after a professional editor worked some magic on this.
Is the band from sf. Please help me. I'm not 100% sure.
Brought to you by Mike Wesley & Elon Musk
100% forgettable music, a real life Spinal Tap.
Really bad editing. Totally out of sync. Sorry, out of here.
The video is not synced correctly at times!
