  • In this video we started using the Oven on top of our Cubic Mini Wood Stove to cook as we were also heating our house at the same time...and drying our clothes. We have been practicing with the wood stove for a few weeks and now we are pretty good at regulating the temperature so we wanted to see what we could make in the Oven. #letnewadventuresbegin #woodstove #cubicmini

    Installing our wood stove was a good idea. Our power goes out 4 to 5 times every winter. It gives us peace of mind knowing if the forced air doesn't work we are still warm.

    I find there is some black dust( fine particles) in my nose after sitting before the wood stove for several hours; I need to open the door to put the firewood into it; and I also put the sweet potatoes wrapped in baking trays on the hot charcoal, which needs to keep the door open for 1 or 2 minutes .
    Have you had similar experiences? and how can I work around?
    Bliss,
    --Gary

    • @LetNewAdventuresBegin
      @LetNewAdventuresBegin  Год назад

      Hi Gary, we keep the flue very clean so the air draw works well. We start to notice as soon as it gets a bit dirty we get more air/smoke and particles coming into the house when we open the door to feed the stove. In the winter when we are using the stove daily the flue gets cleaned about every 2 weeks, sometimes more often if we notice it is harder to start the fire. The small diameter stove pipe needs much more maintenance as ive heard other normal size wood stoves only get cleaned 1-2x/season. You do have to be very careful with the indoor air quality when using a woodstove, but we really enjoy it so we dont mind a few extra chores 😊

    You totally wasted anyone's time who came based on your title. Videos like this are ridiculous. You need to get better at titles, unless you're clickbating intentionally. I as many others, are researching about the stove, not to learn how to cook, what you like best, or anything else that has nothing to do with the stove.

      Thanks for being a ray of sunshine in my day Kathleen! 🙈 we have plenty of other videos about our woodstove - this was not made as a "how to" video. Sometimes youtube is just about entertainment & sharing our life
