When we were organising the time, he indicated I had a half hour window, so aimed the questioning around that, then he said we could have gone for longer if I wanted!
Great interview. Jack is really down to earth, I loved his idea regarding double stacking. Another option, instead of running hoses across the pit bay for two cars in using battery powered rattle guns...thoughts??
Part of the plan with Gen3 was to get rid of the pneumatic rattle guns and using battery ones. So far they do use them in the garages which is a lot more pleasant when you are there, but they aren't quick enough in the races
Absolutely Fantastic interview Dave, Very insightful and huge thanks to JP for taking time out of a busy schedule to do this. Absolutely loved it, Can't wait to see more like this in future
Yeah definitely would be good, I love listening to race drivers speak I find it very insightful. Keep up the great work mate, Definitely deserve way more than 3k subs
really cool interview. love jacks idea for bathurst pit lane, id even go a step further and just remove the pneumatic rattle guns and have battery ones, that way you just need 2 fuel rigs
Its funny how people say there is no brand loyalty these days, while the biggest names of certain manufacturers in the past chopped and changed if they needed to. Even Dick Johnson started off in a Torana
@@SupercarsTorque Larry even had a punt in Dick Johnsons Mustang one year. Pretty sure most of his F1 starts were Ford powered. Apart from that attrocious BRM he drove. Lol.
Motor racing is a tough game as it is then add in being the son of a gun. Must've been tough for guys like JP and Stevie J trying to make their own reputation. Full respect to Jack for keeping on when things got real tough. Hopefully he and JC can get some glory again.
Jack didn't get an easy ride either, with the health issues and being thrown in at the deep end in the main game. I'd love to see them at the front come Bathurst this year
@@SupercarsTorque Absolutely. It's a tough thing dealing with Diabetes, my sister has it. I reckon a 4 round enduro comp would give the co-drivers better quality seat time and produce better racing for the fans too.
Great interview Dave! Jacks a good bloke! Should have had more success , I'll look forward to him having a great run with the blanchards at least he'll have the right badge on the front ! Djr phil
Yeah I feel sorry for him as he never got a proper crack in a front running car. Even co-driving at HRT was when they were struggling and then he ends up with Erebus in the wrong car!
Like Roland has said they need to update fuel rigs to something more like GT3 can pass on old rigs to other category and run double pistops with new wheel guns...
@@SupercarsTorque 'The latest rigs in use elsewhere are fully self-contained, complete with air bottles, regulators, et cetera, and capable of being packed away very compactly. JP is such a down to earth guy. It was a great interview Dave, hope you had a great new year's
I did thanks Leroy, hope yours was good too!
@SupercarsTorque it was pretty good Dave, it would be cool if you could get to the Darwin round of the supercars this year
@@leroybrown6946 I'm going to try to get to an interstate race this year, but I think it might be something in NSW
@SupercarsTorque if I could I would do that too, and go to either Sandown or Bathurst, but perth was great, I went there in 2013
Loved that. Perkins fan. Jacks a great listen and keeps my interest alive.
Jack is great and I hope we get to see more of him in the coverage this year
What an interview! As JP said only scraping the surface. Awesome work Dave.

@@SupercarsTorque at least you can do a round two. Get him on the regular would be mint!
Awesome interview Dave, love Jackos RUclips channel really like the Bathurst pit lane idea
Thanks Chris. The more I think about that pit lane idea, the more merit it has. Even if they just tried it one year to see how it went.
Awesome interview Dave. Loving these vids
Thanks Max, Happy New Year!
Great chat with honest Jack. Always has come across as a top bloke
He genuinely is a top bloke
Great interview Dave .like you Larry was my favourite and have been follow jack as well.
Thanks Chris!
Great interview. I look forward to more in the future. 2024 is the year of Supercars Torque!
Its started off well, best response to an interview video so far

@@wayneblackwwell6439 I do like that idea, but a lot of other people don't
Ayyyyyyy he got Perkins onboard

I think the idea was there to do that with the introduction of Gen3, but the battery ones are still "too slow" for use during races
Great interview. Jack is very much like his dad, calls no BS..
and I told you the other day I’d be watching every Tuesday 🤣
I was even surprised at how open he was while we were recording, I was expecting a little more restraint. Was great to meet you the other day!
Great interview and agree with Jack re the starting with main driver and his thoughts on Bathurst pit stops
The Bathurst pit stop idea is a great one
Great stuff, Dave. Jack seems like a great bloke!
He really is, I was a little surprised how open he was
@@SupercarsTorque I guess we lower our expectations for when we meet the bigger names.
@@SupercarsMabeanie It was more I expected him to "tow the company line" a little more considering he does commentating

That was a good idea about Bathurst pitstops to stop double stacking I hope they do that
I thought so too, but its too logical to happen...
