Also, put some blankets on the wall to stop the echoes. Like a curtain rod, but on the wall. And speaking of curtains, bright lights behind you does not work. Close the blinds, or put a brighter light in front of you.
I didn't mind the FCY but the 3 laps to retrieve a piece of bumper was ridiculous! Do agree that the pitlane should be closed under those FCY conditions and safety car periods. This series is more about pitstop racing rather than on track racing, which people come to see.
Yeah the whole idea of the FCY is so you can go and quickly retrieve some debris, etc. Not to let it drag on for half the race while everyone gets to decide if they want to stop or not!
Hi Dave, I think your table was wobbly and was causing the camera to readjust slightly which made me not concentrate on the content 😅. I do prefer your old studio to this bedroom
Nah its the auto focus on the camera, I think its when I move it changes and looks like the room is moving. It doesn't really happen in the office, I suspect because the camera is sitting a lot closer If I do continue with the bedroom, I'll make it more like a studio with a proper backdrop etc
I may have turned the volume down too much in the edit. It sounded way too loud for me so I turned it down what I normally would but I think it makes it lower in the new program. I did notice the texta noise was very loud too, will have a play with that. Thanks for the feedback
The Supercars rep in Formula Regional is going ok I think. I think Will Brown's done a decent job in his two rounds in New Zealand so far. Two podiums, a fastest lap and generally being near the front, but I was hoping he'd take at least one win. Arvid Lindblad looks very hard to beat but I've been impressed with Zack Scoular and Patrick Heuzenroeder. Aaron Cameron in Abu Dhabi though. Mixed, I'd probably say. He looked ok in the first couple of races and was looking better in the third, really looking like getting a couple of points, but he had been as high as 8th and a few mistakes had dropped him down a bit, then he clumsily spun Kanato Le (I think) around and picked up a penalty. Interesting that MSR have chosen to run their wildcard in Sydney rather than in say, Darwin. I think Crick did a decent job in the enduros alongside Cam Hill, will be interesting to see how he does on his solo debut.
I have no insider knowledge on the wildcard but my guess is that with Crick being a Sydney boy, there is sponsor implications with doing SMP over another round.
The only issue with not having any stops is that people will stop as soon as the pit window is open. They did try this in the early 2000's and it just had everyone stopping on like lap 3 which looked stupid
So all the other series around the world can get FCY correct and just cause supercars always try to put there own spin on it it's common sense to cut it 🙄
Quite a few people have mentioned that. Its coming through reasonably on my headphones but I won't adjust the volume down next time and see if that improves it
No its not wrong, I like the strategy, but my argument is to shut the pits when the yellow flag is called until the field is under control to stop people racing back to the pits
Without the racing back to the pits it kind of defeats the purpose as your still losing time depending on what part of the track you're on. Safety first though 😀
@@Alex-tu9bh But it does encourage people to pit early just in case, or even stay out to gain track position. The current system is not only dangerous, there is no jeopardy to it. Unless there is debrisss and someone drives around really slow......
I think I may have turned the sound levels down too much in the edit. It sounded very loud to me, but a few people have mentioned how quiet it turned out for them. I think the new software adjusts the volume more aggressively than the old one
The theory that the body panels are deflecting at bathurst affecting the aero parody was news to me. The last theory I heard was that the engines are equal at sea level. But the Chevrolet engine was stronger when the barometric pressure is lower (primarily caused by higher altitudes), which would give them an advantage at bathurst. It'll be interesting to see what results come from the testing.
@SupercarsTorque Something like that would probably be pretty difficult to physically test at whatever facility they were using the transient dynos. I mean you could take a traditional dyno to bathurst which would be a lot easier but I don't think it'll reveal much, the engines are already so close and they needed that precision just to get this far. If there is a difference, it has to be tiny. The teams 100% have the capacity to model it in software, allowing them to arrive at this hypothesis. And I'd say at least DJR have already done so, I first heard this idea from Ryan Story when he went on the AHU podcast.
@@carlthe1nonly960 I'd imagine it is hard to test as even in F1 there used to be big outliers at Mexico. As you said the difference is so tiny, but because you can't engineer different solutions now, any difference is amplified
There was talk of vibrations causing issues in Gen 3 Mustang did change some panels to match Camaro CoG and front bar is cheaper material compared to Camaro version that included damper system in original design...

If they enforced double waved yellows forcefully, FCY or the 80kph countdown rule isn't required. Closing the pit lane would also work
Thats another part of the problem, yellow flags aren't enforced. The running joke was the "catch up flag"
"debrisss" 😂😂
Just rolls off the tongue now like thats how you are supposed to pronounce it....

Was your mic far away as i can hear but its not super loud, i do like you little breaking news splash but i would turn the texta sound off

Correct. We mess around with it too much and forget why its actually there in the first place. Then it all becomes too hard so its gone
Can't hear you
Quite a few people have mentioned that. Its coming through reasonably on my headphones but I won't adjust the volume down next time and see if that improves it
Yes shut the pit lane please
The bonus with that is, it not only makes everything safer, it also throws in a real wildcard
I am wrong for liking pit stops under safety car, it gives the guys at the back and alternative strategy to stay out and hope for a safety car.

Only a Ford driver would ever do that... 😉
As long as there's an advantage to pit under safety car I'm happy, makes the racing more exciting.
All the Chevrolet teams got fined for manipulating race in Chase by blocking calls on driver radio... Nascar push boundaries of rules in racing...
Get yourself a Lavalier microphone or something. Very hard to hear in this video

I agree. Too hard to hear what you’re saying. Try something that doesn’t look like an. OTP apartment. And slow down, catch your breath.
I'll turn the volume up!

Yeah I also heard about the sea level stuff too. I wonder if you can simulate that in a dyno to see?
