Cat behavior expert sounds like a dream job
It is
Or like.. a single woman in her 40’s life
Elisabeth Lalita OF COURSE IT IS A DREAM JOB!!!!! I WOULD WANT TO DO THAT!!!!!!
You can actually, yt is a thing. People love cat. You Just need a cat, dedication & context.

Prince: hello human I'm in the market for a new human slave and i choice you, come out to pet your new master

Lol
Gertrude Petion
Prince is the overseer of his human slaves
Elizabeth Home guys, your comments are taking too far.
Prince is a bloody handsome cat.
A Crimson Prince to say.
Mink Lynx Siamese. Just incase you want one :) he could be a mix but he's majority siamese.
He is! Those eyes!!
hence the confidence
@@droppkick1538 Or, he could be a moggy who just happened to inherit the colorpoint gene. It's a form of partial albinism. Here's a brief description of this particular genetic trait. Not all cats with colorpoint coloration are Siamese. There are several breeds in particular that carry this gene or express it (sometimes in conjunction with other coat pattern genetics coming into play, such as white, etc)... Siamese (of course, the best-known), Tonkinese, Burmese, Himalayan, Colorpoint Shorthair, Ragdoll, Birman and others.

A street full of cat lovers
Can I move? ^^
Who else had hopes that this would be cats speaking English?
Haha yeah
At least French.
Me
Me
thank you for telling that before I had to watch the whole video
Our cats teamed up with our dog and they own the neighborhood.
gang
it won't be too long till they join forces with the other cats and dogs and take over your town
Jonathan Arroyo So far they play Guardians of the Neighborhood. They allow all peaceful cats and dogs but go against territorial aggressors.
Pet lives matter.🐈🐕
This, is daring, new and innovative TV waiting to happen. Meerkat manor meets actual cats of the Manor.
3:44 "She is the last jigsaw of our family" I totally love that child. Awesome way of explaining how cats work in a family.
+木星からの脱出 It's so interesting how even small people like her can make that accent.
+木星からの脱出 wait, is the jigsaw she means is jigsaw puzzle or jigsaw from the movie Saw?
psycho puss Clearly he has her and her family trapped and made her say that
=^.^=
木星からの脱出 oh my... now that's sound pretty dark...
1:22 Top-left corner...someone named their cat "The Dude" 🤣
Jerry Hu I cant stop laughing on that one 🤣
Ahah you kill me
Man I have never laughed this hard on a RUclips comment
I bet he abides 😎
The cat named "Bill" next to him doesnt look like he likes the name
Came here expecting a feline to speak English.
Please tell me I’m not alone...?
No?
Just me?
Okay...
Juniper Jackal AJ im with ya
Hi Sofea lol hi
Juniper Jackal AJ omg
same here! you are not alone!!! :)
Me as well. Lying title. I got linked to this video from "einstein the bird" so the cats should at least be talking. Why CAN'T they ever talk, anyway? You see some videos of them saying "no" and "old don johnson" so they can make the same sounds if they try, you'd think a FEW of them would have figured out a vocabulary of a few words used as actual language.
Look at all these cats with their pets.
Yes 😂
I'm practically a pet to my cat😂😂
Aika Papa exactly XD
Cats are cute
"The last jigsaw to our family"
Cat: Want to play a game?
hahaha
xD
Cat: In the bag there is... some food... and if you give it to me in 60 seconds there shall be no harm. But, if you do give this to me, There is a price.. like literally a price tag.
BUT if not given to me you will suffer the consequence... a small scratch and ignorance for the rest of the day.
The choice is yours
+Angus Dare thats the point lol
I just got that
No cats in this video spoke our language. I don't know what I was expecting but I feel clickbaited.
For the most part, cats don't "meow" at each other. That's a very babyish thing to do, something usually only done in infancy to their mother. But they "meow" to us, specifically, which is very significant. Cats have, I gather, evolved to interact with humans on a different level than they do with each other because it results in positive outcomes; food, shelter, affection, etc. I wish this video had gone into greater detail.
Cats and Dogs both have that special ability. After spending 1000's of years with us they emote with us differently then each other. One example is the meowing thing with cats, one thing with dogs is they maintain eye contact when we speak to them, they don't do that to each other.
@aidanthesuper dogs aren't physically able to develope an entirely seconde language just for interaktion with humans, dogs are only able to make about 10 different sounds but cats are able to make over 100 different sounds, so cats language is way more complex on its own than the ones of dogs, this is why they are capable of this specific interaction towards humans and dogs are not.
lol +Russian Scientist One of us...one of us...one of us...
Russian Scientist I figured it meant body language and what not
" I'm a doctor, what do you do for a living?" " I look at cats"
Cype Thanks for this comment
Cype What's wrong with that?
TheCatLover Lord+ Doctors don't do that
X⃟x⃟SnowX⃟x⃟ And who are you to assume what doctors do or do not?
+Cype Medical innovation as well as innovation in social sciences and many other fields arise out the positively-most-diverse and unexpected spectrum of sources.
Many, though not enough, provide medical care in the first world. Far fewer study the behavior of cats. Someone has to do it, and so few do so that the ones who do are often virtuoso dynamos. At any rate, their labors do not merit your unsolicited denigration.
When a cat loves you, you have the love of the universe!
bermudaguy1 3 cats love me. 3 universes love me.
bermudaguy1 no you dont
nonsense. The universe is cold and cruel.
Crypto Johnny careful not to cut urself on all that edge mate
What a lovely thing to say.
That prince cat deserves his name. He is gorgeously handsome.
O I thought his name was Prince
If I were a cat, he’d be my cat crush! 😍😂
He's a lynx point Siamese.
pretty sure prince is a female though lmaoo if u look at 3:17
Ben Ben He is probably neutered, since he's a pet cat.
When you say "cats speaking our language" people dont think "oh body language and meows" no. people think "OMG A CAT CAN SPEAK ENGLISH? OMG I HAVE TO SEE THIS"
TheEnderCaptain no but they have learned how to talk
TheEnderCaptain I know right? How is it click bait just because you failed to comprehend that they didn't mean our literal language? Some people I swear...
Abby Landphere I thought they met cats meowing or tapping at something as trying to get people to notice stuff like that
Oats TheOcelot that still makes more sense than what most people were expecting lol
Guilty all the same
I love cats... I remember i was only a dog lover... my little dog past away i was very sad and depressed and out of nowhere 2 white kittens showed up at my house they were starving to death and i gave them food and water and little by little they stared to show me so much love... I thank my little doggy because i know he send them too me...
And now i have 5 cats and i also feed 8 stray cats day and night... Its amazing all the love they give you....💕💕💕💕
Aww, thank you for sharing your heartwarming experience, you brought a tear to my eyes! I am sorry for the loss of your little pooch, and it gladdens me to know you were gifted with the love of two new angels. I'm also very happy to hear you opened your heart to the feline world, they have always been there for me...I too have 5 little furbies on the farm, and two wild-ones that we feed who live in the barn and keep the rats away from the chickens :)
Have a great day...Aloha, the Cat Rancher
Knolltop Farms 💕💕💕😃
pattylicious H aww that's so sweet, God bless you for taking care of so many amazing furry creatures! I have only one kitty so far but I want to get another one! I hope he/she finds me soon....lol
pattylicious H I was your last straw to 50 likes. I liked out of personal experience with domesticated and feral cats.
and youre not a dog lover anymore?
Every other house on my street has a cat, as you can imagine, there were constant fights and squabbles amongst them. A couple of years ago a new family moved in next door to us, they just happened to have a cat too, he was a tom cat but had been ' doctored', anyway, he would quite happily wander in here and have a nap on one of the chairs. After a few weeks we started noticing that quite a few of the cats would sit in groups every now and again , just quite happily sitting together. A few of our neighbours started mentioning two or three cats would come into their houses and share what ever cat food was there, we also noticed the fighting had completely stopped. The group meetings seemed to expand and there could be as many as 10 cats all sitting in one garden or another at the same time. The family ended up moving again but still in the same town, every now and again their cat would turn up and sit for a while. We didn't see him for a few months and then the squabbles slowly started again, then of course the fights started in earnest. Eventually we heard the old cat had died. It makes you wonder if some cats have the ability to influence others.
wow!
Wise old cat making the youngins want to behave themselves?
Perhaps so.
Prince is seriously one of the most beautiful cats I’ve ever seen
Someone needs to take in Prince. He seems to want a REAL home.
That's a translation error. He was irritated at the human, not trying to look cute. The cuteness was because he was having fun rolling around in a smell he liked. My cat did it all the time, but a nearby human often disturbed her.
Some cats like being free on the street, but having tons of 'stations' where they can get whatever food and attention they want. It's the best of both worlds to them.
He wasn't irritated. He was making relaxed eye'd faces at the cameraman. I think he's probably happy to be free, but he clearly likes people. Probably part of the appeal of being outdoors is meeting so many people.
He was most definitely irritated. That tail thwapping like that is most definitely irritation. And Idk what 'relaxed face' you're seeing, but with his eyes nearly closed like that, it's a glare because he's irritated. I've been studying cats for 20 years. I can read them better than people.
True
+Valerie Fuqua opposite man. you are wrong.
I would totally watch a soap opera around the lives of several cats.
Me too adore cats
Me too 😸😻😸😻
Yes
imagine coming home from work and there is a bunch of random people following your cat around with a camera
Elayna Hawkins lol
130th like
When they said "put prince under surveillance", I thought for a second of another cat wearing a wire...
yes, they sound very similar to human. specially human child. sometimes I got confused weather a child was sobbing or a cat was meowing.
I want to see more cat research
+JACOB mahoney yeah, like why aren't we?
+JACOB mahoney If you want more research google "Toxoplasma Gondii"
You'll learn things you never knew you never knew.
20009Erika you're* And it's not hate-spreading if you're telling the truth. I'm actually a pre-vet student, someone can still like cats but understand the microbial parasite that resides in their feces.
+JACOB mahoney the creater of CATTERBOX did researched cats to the point where they can translate the speech. Just look for CATTERBOX, I'd post the video here but most channels delete your comments if you put links to videos in them.
+Nikki TP - Have you read The Violinist's Thumb by Sam Kean? It's a delightful read on many varied topics, but it discusses toxo and recounts the story of Jack and Donna Wright who at their highest had 689 cats.
I fed 3 kittens since the very first day they was born on my mother's lawn years later they spend every second I'm outside meowing directly at me and responding with stronger meows if I talk back. They are smart enough to know meowing at cat lovers equal food.
Prince's eyes are gorgeous, love him 😍
Marwa Ezz what about this cats ruclips.net/video/rX_j_QaQgXA/видео.html
There was a cat name
"THE DUDE" in da board
Perfect name for a lot of male cats! 😸
I am NOT a cat person, but one of our neighborhood cats waits by my house every day until I come home from work. She ALWAYS comes to say hello when she sees I’m home, and sits in the yard with me for hours. She will even me know she’s hungry or thirsty. My family has fallen in love with her!❤️
Wow Grade A clickbait.
Vlad the Lad There are many impostors, but I assure you, I am the real Genghis Mr. Putin.
CMDR Tacki XT lol yeah
They mean that just like humans, cats have more sounds than meow for talking to other cats.Chittering for hesitation, wobbling sound for Please get out of my way etc.
Genghis Khan _KHAAAAAAN!!_
Well if you came here thinking you were gonna watch a cat say "yo what's up brah" then yous a bit thick
Everyone who grew up with cats is a cat behavior expert.
Agreed 150%
True i own 3 cats
Some people even refuse to believe in the ''rarely meowing at other cats'' fact because they heard them make a sound that isn't even a meow.
+Needle Viper I own 4
uhhh, sorry kaelyn, they own you.
Step 1: Learn human language
Step 2: Enslave human race
Step 3: Endless treats
Rescue a cat or kitten and be loved forever! They give so much back and communicate clearly if we just learn to listen :-)
And then become amy from amy's bakery
I wish. My father rescued a kitten from his workplace a few years back and the cat is fairly agressive
Not true I did that a long time ago with a cat from the pound and I took care of him really good, but for some reason he didnt like me and left to my neighbors house and lived there and I was sad and mad, but I also saw that they were taking care of him so I started to stop caring. He would also visit me one time out of three months, then I left to live in a new house I am living in right now and I dont know if he is alive or ok
Cats are disloyal imo, they just cuddle up to whoever will feed them. They can move on to find someone else to give them food when they’re bored. Cats aren’t loyal like dogs..
Not true ..cats choose their owners .. if they don't like you then it's curtains
Once I was looking for my glasses so my cat heard me went upstairs some how found them and brought it to me
I do believe you !!!
That's one very smart cat! Amazing.
wow, thats so intelligent and sweet
how did i get here
Letting the days go by...
by clicking on the video
by cats
It's 1 AM, anything's possible. Just wait 'till 3 AM, then the magic starts happening!
I got on here by watching Harambe
One of the cats at 1:06 was named "The Dude" 😂
I tried liking this comment twice... didn't work
too short...this should be at least an hour long! prince is gorgeous with beautiful blue eyes, i would be over the moon if he was in my neighborhood, i would feed him give lots of attention and treats; he won't need to look for all that elsewhere.
I agree! More, please! I have a buddy who came over to greet me in my back yard on my first night here...hopped up on my lap in the dark! He's the boldest of a family of six cats from next door, all pair-bonded (and "fixed"), but "Kee Kee" is the boldest, most friendly...quite the charmer.
so sweet...it must be wonderful to have a cat that doesn't know you jump up on your lap. it is very flattering and a compliment i think since cats are selective creatures. i wish that i had these kitties near my house.
I know, I want to know more!
no...what is that, some kind of club of cat people? lol...
+Alfred Alfred I? No. I somehow find myself taking in others' cats as they realize I'm more eager to please them than their current humans who have grown casual in their care. I'm all too happy to prove myself the superior "owner" until I'm then indentured to an aging, demanding master with elimination problems.
- Hey, congratulations on your Ph.D, what are you planning to do now?
- Watch the cats in the neighbourhood for three weeks.
The wall at 1:03 with all the cat pictures and their names 😂 Looks like the feds are hard at work trying to build a repo-case against some kind of cat Mafia. A pheline Cosa Nostra.
Lmfaooo! Facts. All that's missing is the red yarn and push-pins.
there was a cat named the dude on the board it had me dying with laughter
Same here
the dude
The dude abides
the dude's the MAN
“yo dude you gonna cuddle with me tonight?”
i thought these cats were going to act human to communicate with us
...yeah! we've been CHEATED.
Be.a. Trixter *cheetah'd
Thirty cats in a big coat "Hello, I am here to aquire a portion of catnip... Its for a friend."
I've heard cats in my neighborhood actually talking like babies. Sounds like "badabada! Dawawa dawadaba! Wowagababa!" I thought maybe they were going to show the cats trying to speak English or something, like the ones on my street sound like.
1:03 there's a cat on the billboard called "the dude" lol
Anna Kimura ha! I didn’t notice . Great name! Now all they need are two cats named Walter and Donnie as his two sidekicks . Love your profile pic btw.
LEBOWSKI INTENSIFIES
The Big LeMeowski
That little girl at the end is really wise and understands the importance of treating a pet with all the respect a family member would deserve. Bravo.
Cat at 3:36 : "HELP!"
JustcuzitsEpic hahajahahahahahahahaha
Nekoro -Sama no that’s the cats reaction
I wish I had a cat that looks like Prince. He's so beautiful
This is my cat's house, she lets me stay to open her cans and change her box. She vocolizes very well. I understand her perfectly. Also she sings with me when I sing to her.
cute 😸
mine would put her paw on my mouth when I would sing. She was right. I have a terrible voice.
+R Duran I have been blessed with being inco habitation with over 40 cats in my life. What I have learned is the quick tick of the tip of the tail means agitation. Prince is clearly not happy about something. He seems like a good cat though and I full believe someone should adopt him off the streets.
Man these cats are gorgeous...cats really are beautiful creatures 🐱🐯🐅
Ughhh i can't stop staring at Prince's Eyes!!!! ITS BEAUTIFUL
I've noticed that people who absolutely hate cats barely have any empathy. There the type that will intentionally harm cats and other animals for enjoyment.
The only reason my cat exposes her belly is because she wants belly rubs
@Amber Alexandria see above comment to find out why. You're not understanding your cat's body language. Most cats hate their bellies to be rubbed. Just because they expose them does not mean they want you to touch them. They're not dogs!!
@@CrazyGreenFluff It depends on the situation. Both of my cats roll on their backs, and most of the time they do not want a belly rub. However, sometimes they stretch in a certain way that lets me know that they want belly scratches, and accept them gleefully with purrs and closed eyes.
Prince is such a beauty
Bianca Freismuth ikr
Mink Lynx Siamese if you guys want one lol.
He's likely a mix tho.
Misleading titles should be illegal
John Juanda yeah ur username tricket me!!
Cats 🐈 make this world a better place. 💕 God knows mine mean the world to me
The cat i got ripped her adoption paper although she loved me very much
P.s. ill put it in comment if you know what i mean. Im still trying to figure out how to get that adoption paper back :(
Mine too for me
Dog: When you call me, I'll be there! CAT: Leave a message, I'l get back to you, maybe.
true, funny also, i used to joke, cats are like women, you talk to them, they asess the situation and decide whether to come to you or walk away.
Prince is a very pretty cat, maybe it's just the BBC's cameras that make him so striking.
Batman: WHERES THE CATNIP?!
Cat: Meow! I don't know!
Oh you want detention Ehh?, you saw words in a plant?
the day has come... BBC HAS LEARNED THE WAYS OF CLICKBAIT.
Cats are very expressive and let you know a lot if you know what to look for as experienced cat owners can attest to. Different meows, other vocal noises, tail positioning, body language etc.
Plot twist: they were never saying “meow.” It was actually “NOW.”
Nothing new in this Video. This is common sense.
+Gerechtable Maybe to you, but you must remember that not all people has had the same experiences and has learnt the same things you have.
Mikkel Youreallydontwanttoknow true.
+Gerechtable
And in other news, it is confirmed that humans still love cats...because of their meows and the cute way that they show us their tummies. That is all.
That's pretty much all I got from this video.
+Gerechtable ikr LOL
+Gerechtable Nothing new about you either. What's your point?
Cats are such wonderful and incredible animals!
I like the fact that "Ozzy" is the name of the black cat. Rock on!
Holden Caulfield I have a black cat named Ozzy😻, and 5 other cats, but Ozzy is something special..
Morrighan In Spain Does Ozzy ever bite off the head of a bat?
Holden Caulfield No, not yet, but he did pigeons, rabbits and rats, so he's definitely trying😁
Prince saying I own this street and you are allow to walk this street and feed me cause if you don't get off my street
@Nekoro -Sama it's not being rude. It's being dominant.
Haz paws
Will travel
Worship. Me. Love. Me. Adore. Me. Then. You. May. Feed. Me. My. Human. Slave
I love dogs and cats they are both awesome pets
I have never seen a cat with more blue eyes
"If I leave the door open, he'll try to break into my house..." Well he wouldn't have broken in now would he?
dog: I will stay loyal till death separates us!
cat: meh my owner don't love me enough, I'd look for a new one. Also, I own da street
The way that cat spoke in our language... Absolutely blows my mind away!!!
yeah theses cats took over our streets they have a leader... a prince... They're getting to strong
"Owner said Meow. He understand me!"

Javian Valentin bhahahaha purrrfect comment 😹😹😹
Cats are awesome pets!
Yes they ARE.
They're not really pets like other animals. More like friends. They command respect and do what they want.
+James Bond23 no animal is a pet cos pet means slave
you are good hooman slave
Ummm pets are not slaves pets are animals we take care of technicaly your child is a pet
When you get paid to discuss that a wheel is round as if it weren't common knowledge. Truly amazing.
1:03 one of the names are "LITTLE CHICKEN NUGGET AHHHHHHHH"
One of the names is "THE DUDE" 😂
My cat moves the tail when she's happy..
same
Tail movements can be happy, irritated, angry, scared, and a lot of other stuff. Sharp, quick movements, like Prince's, are irritated. Graceful, flowing movements are happy.
Sharp, quick movements of the _whole tail_ are irritated. Quick movements of just the tip of the tail, on the other hand, are something closer to playful, curious, or otherwise positively-engaged. Try watching the tail next time you play with a cat, say by slowly dragging a string along the floor. When one of my cats goes into stalk-mode, she crouches down, eyes locked on the near end of the string...and the tip of her tail twitches just a little. When she's in that state, any further movement of the string is likely to trigger a rush-pounce-bite-kick-kick attack on the string "prey."
At other times, when they're relaxed and lounging, both of my cats will also twitch the tips of their tails once or twice if I say their name, or meow, or make some other inoffensive vocalization. They'll respond that way pretty reliably, often along with rotating their ears, turning their heads to face me (if I'm already in front of them), and blinking slowly at me. The slow-blinking is a definite sign of relaxation and positivity, and I read the tail-twitches as a casual recognition signal. It's certainly not a sign of irritation.
CorticalCirclet 2cat4me
how fast and how hard does your cat move her tail
They are so adorable!!! If he would come to me he would be the prince of the house!!!!
The cat isn't speaking our language, liar.
you sureeee
CAT oh god....can I eat you -.-
+Atrox Lobo
Exactly, I was thinking they were going to show us that cats were actually learning human words and attempting to speak them. Birds have been shown to do this but it's more mimicking for effect. It would be interesting to see if a cat could learn a word, understand it's meaning and use it in proper context.
To think that a cat could ever speak a human word is laughable.
Certain birds have the ability to mimick sounds, some more closely than others. Grey parrots, for example, are very good at mimicking speech to the point where they sound like humans, while budgies tend to sound scratchy, like speech coming from an old record.
Cats aren't even on the same level as that. Most mammals aren't. Sometimes they make a specific sound that seems almost human like a scream, yell, or a baby crying, but they'll likely never learn to speak, not unless they somehow evolved to do so in the distant future.
+The Chitty Chatty Commenter
Thanks for the update.
+Tressym
That's not true. Other mammals have been taught and understand human languages and have even used certain simple words. Why not cats? The intelligence is there. I've had cats and they learned not only in meaning, but in context certain words I wanted them to understand. Usage could be a learned behavior that's just around the corner. It could be as simple as use learning to understand how they think and then helping them learn on their level. It's how we did it with the apes orcas and dolphins.
we need more cat research done ASAP. I mean like RIGHT MEOW.
That cat is beautiful his blue eyes are rare.
Cats: "Just one step forward into the complete enslavement of the human species." hahaha!
Dogs have owners. Cats have servants. ....Ha ha ha ha....
When you adopt a kitty: "Dear new slave, you adopted me so you recognize cat superiority, you realize how much the human species is stupid and inferior compared to us. From now on, you shall serve for all eternity, your life will be feeding, petting, loving and appreciating the superior race, us cats." hahahaha!
What a lovely little slice of warm and fuzzy love! Thank you for this snippet, now to see if I cannot find the whole show...Cheers, the Cat Rancher.
If you do find it please tell. I've only found clips. Thanks.

***** Thank you very much.
Cats speaking our language? Did they edit that bit out?
ikr
You just didn't notice. There is more to a language than the verbally spoken.
No you just take things way too literally
Speaking is only like 7% talking and the rest body language, facial expression, tone, etcetc.
Yeah
(TLDR at bottom bc I tend to write way too much lol)
I truly realized the extent of cats’ intelligence when my family got our second cat, a few weeks after my older cat passed away.
I had just gotten an operation, but they couldn’t put me under anesthesia because I had eaten, and they hadn’t warned us they were going to operate the next time I came in. I was literally trembling, nauseous, and exhausted.
I sat in a warm bath, and all of a sudden, my cat walks in. She begins to talk to me (she’s a chatterbox) and notices I’m not feeling good, so she sits next to the tub and looks in at me. I thought that was where she would stop, but she jumped up on the side of the tub, sat down, and, to my astonishment, stuck her tail in the water with me. It felt almost like a cat version of holding a loved one’s hand. My previous cat hated getting wet. Sure, he loved me, but he had never done anything like that.
When I thought the situation couldn’t get any weirder, she stepped on my chest and then laid down. Mind you, there was about a centimeter of water above my chest, so she basically went out of her way to do something that probably made her uncomfortable just to comfort me. I’ll never forget that.
Since then, I’ve found that she doesn’t mind getting a little wet just for a taste of the leftover shower droplets (I try to keep her from drinking from the shower/tub anyway, but she likes doing it, so it can be a bit of a struggle lol), but it’s only a little wet, and usually only on her stomach or legs (I was petting her when she was on top of me, so she got pretty soaked).
TLDR: Don’t underestimate the intelligence (both emotional and physical) of a cat. They’ll likely prove you wrong in the craziest ways.
Lazy, good for nothing, manipulative, captivating, adorable, magical creatures.
who else is with their cats
Me 😸😸😸
I'm still in bed and our cat Molli is laying on top next to me purring away 😊🐱
Ya, I'd heard that meowing and barking (in dogs) was largely, if not solely, developed to communicate with us.
I once read in a book my vet lent me (to learn to train my dog) that dogs have become a lot more vocal since developing their relationship with humans. Because we humans are very vocal. BTW, the cat at 3:33 is almost a portrait of my dear Boris, who left us nine months ago. RIP.
Interesting...have you ever heard how many different howls and calls wolf packs have? The only dogs I know of coming close to that much variety in their vocalizations are the Husky/or Samoyed varieties. I'm not really a zoologist, but I play one on the internet, LOL!
Thanks for the reply, and sadly I was unable to find the rest of this show...Aloha, the Cat Rancher
my 96 year old grandmother barks at me all the time
SUGAR XYLER
My boss barks at everyone all the time.
Cats: "Hey, we're communicating with people! We're getting fed for acting!"
Dogs: "Took you long enough. You can't even fetch."
My youngest cat Sabrina is a 'rescue'. Born in an abandoned couch behind our apartment. We caught, her and her brother and sister and took them to the Paws Dog and Cat Rescue center. I couldn't resist Sabrina's cute little face, even though I had two other rescued cats. Sabrina was clearly the runt, having shorter legs that normal strays. She was also only 6-7 weeks old, so when I spoke to her I always said "Mommy's here Brina, or "Mommy's home." Now she can clearly say "Mom" and any time she wants her favourite pillow to sleep on she always sits at the bedroom door saying "mom" just like my daughter calling me for a glass of water before bed. She's 5yrs old now.

I love singing to my cat and she seems to love it too.
I have a cat that loves when we sing to her too!
My husband sings to our cats. I think it's sweet. Crazy, but definitely sweet.
My cat HATED singing! xD

"Cat Behavior expert Sarah Ellis" LMFAO What school do you attend to become a "cat behavior expert" what kind of job is that?
+Ether Who knows, but she didn't mention anything that people who live around cats don't already know... Nothing of the more rare knowledge of cats, just the "HEY IT ROLLS OVER BECAUSE IT IS COMFY AROUND YOU" obvious knowledge... I hope she doesn't get overpaid for such, haha.
+Ether Only the best job ever!
+Ether Any college that offers the chance to become an animal behavioralist. Some people just break off and choose to get more involved and specialize in a certain species of interest.
Latra M Thank you for answering the question like a human being, not a savage
Well she has a doctorate so she must have studied well.
My cat is "Boty" stands for Boss Kitty, got his name from his own behaviors who likes bossing around all the time. Angry Face, Such a king and a Street Owner (all cats afraid of him), best fighter of all cats, soon I'll try to filming Boty's personality in complete details!

thank you so much for the kind & encouragement comments! ^_^
+handsomethecat You should keep him inside, you pathetic and irresponsible owner.
+spoddie Too narrow a focus there. I live in a m.h. park and take care of about 15 or so feral cats, some left by previous tenants. I do not own them, indeed, I question that anyone actually 'owns' a feline. For whatever reason, these cats are free to roam and carry on their own social balance quite peacefully. All females I took to have spayed, fortunately, most as they were maturing. Peoples' circumstances vary a great deal and it's highly presumptuous to judge so harshly.
+ni ni Fortunately, I'm retired and have the interest and energy to give what I can. My more casual approach to them has given way to appreciating them more as living beings with an unshakable integrity. I've learned to value kindness and charity better than in years past and exalting any ability of a cat to fight, as with "Boty", is missing a better direction. I've treated injuries in toms and look for solutions with their interactions that smooth their contests to less violence and hurt.
I was expecting a breakthrough in cat human communication. What I learned was, if you get paid for this, I'm in the wrong purrfession.
I lived in Saudi Arabia as a teacher of English, and in that country cats are revered. Most cats I saw were feral, but there was one cat all of us knew and loved who I named Momcat. She seemed to have figured out that if you are "nice" to humans, you get food and attention. There were fellow teachers in my building who swore up and down that they didn't like cats, yet outside of every apartment there was a little bowl with food and treats for Momcat. She lived in the open basement of the residential compound where we all lived. When she had her littler of kittens they were all big and healthy because of all the extra food Momcat got when she was expecting. She trained her litter to be "nice" to humans just like she was so they would get that extra food too. Smart Mom!
