    I would spec a new one out pretty similarly to what you did. Changes I personally would make (and my reasoning):
    - No safe (plenty of other hidden spots to store things in the coach that 99% of people would not know about.)
    - No TV outside (I don't have a need to watch TV outside and possibly disturb others. I would rather have the extra storage space.)
    - No built in ladder ( I think the coach looks cleaner without one and would prefer a telescoping ladder that I can move around. A telescoping ladder could be stored in the outdoor TV compartment since it's not so deep)
    - No solar panels (The zamp panels are great but extra expensive through LTV. They also screw them down to the roof I believe. Since I would be upgrading the electronics I would add panels at the same time. Can probably get more that 400 watts on the roof also)

    Great job Brandon and we have pretty much the exact same options selected for our order on the 2023 Unity MBL (will be most likely the 2024 version before we get it). Newbie to RV life, so did select the Propane Generator option but you mentioned you hardly have used your generator. I was wondering about your thoughts on doing away with the generator all together and for much less weight (and some cost savings) just have an Anker PowerHouse 767 or EcoFlow DELTA Pro that could backup your home and then take on the road. We don't plan on boondocking much without power hookups.

    • @Pagosa
      @Pagosa  Год назад +4

      If I were going to delete generator, I would go with additional lithium like Lithionics tied into the system. With the EcoFlow or the Anker, those can be plugged up to your RV, but no way to charge them except for external solar panel, or a wall plug. With Lithionics (or other house batteries) These have more capacity in smaller and lighter footprint and charge when hooked to shore power, driving or on board solar. Plus it's integrated and no need to open compartment, plug in your RV and then find a way to charge them back up.

    Brandon great job as usual. Submitted my change order for the 2023 Unity MBL and will not lose my place in the que (AUG/SEP). Like you I vacillated back & forth irt the macerator & ladder, opted to leave both off. Glad to hear your comments about your generator choice. That was my toughest decision, but as you mentioned we have been tracking closely Lithionics advancements and will definitely go with them for aftermarket upgrade. Rumor has it that LTV may offer a Lithionics as mfgr-upgrade in time for our coach (hope so). As a retired Army communicator went with both the Wingard SAT & portable ant. Yes it pricey but like to watch MLB & prefer not to have to setup SAT ant if I dont have to. Also opted-out of outdoor TV although it would be kinda kool to watch fitness videos or host tailgate party. Previously owned two Class A's, one with & one without leveling jacks (JACKs are a MUST HAVE). Pretty much went with same options you suggested. We have two big dogs so will validate your comments on why we should not have gone with Dove upholstery. May change back to Sand... Biggest comment is that we have not been face-to-face with any LTV and it helps relieve some of the buying stress watching your channel and reading other folks comments. Thanks again for what you do, and we hope to see you late summer or early fall.

What do you think about the Dove upholstery without dogs? We're concerned about stains from normal use. Really like your videos as they are so informative.

    • @Pagosa
      @Pagosa  Год назад

      You don’t really need any solar for the Lithionics, but it is nice to have for trickle charging. I have 400watts, but solar is so slow and unpredictable. You can get more bang for your buck aftermarket, but having it come from factory is nice too. We cover all of our seating surfaces when dogs are in for sure with our white upholstery. But when they aren’t, we aren’t scared of the white. Hope that helps!

I would also have included the heated tank package had I known about it. I would also do the outdoor TV if I had a choice (not an option in the URL which is what I have). @@myopinion9518 Lithionics is a company that makes lithium batteries, charger systems, and battery generators. It's just that they make them with integrated and automatic heaters so you never need to remember to turn the heat on if the temps drop too low for the batteries to function. The system that LTV offers must be manually turned on. Lithionics are also a lot cheaper than having LTV do it for you.

    Great video. Question: we have a unity cb on order, i was told by dealer in St. Louis, that if i put in standard batteries and then switched to 3rd party system like lithronics 320. I would void the warranty! So, what warranty exactly am i voiding? It seems like most people like having a better battery system, so what gives? Thank you, keep up the good work.

    • @Pagosa
      @Pagosa  Год назад +1

      The warranty on the LTV is actually just for the things LTV makes and assembles. They rely on the third party manufacturers warranty for things like batteries, microwaves, etc. So basically nothing to void. If you are switching out just the battery, it’s just that. Just a battery swap, which wouldn’t affect any other component. So basically if you switch out the battery, that doesn’t mean they won’t fix a drawer that falls out, as that is what the LTV warranty covers. Hope that helps!

      My FX has 26 gallons of freshwater, but the CB and the TB have 36 gallons. Showers will deplete the tank fast, but you could go several days with just using the water for kitchen and toilet flushing. How do you order a 2023-24 model with options when there is now a 5 year wait list? I guess you just change options later if they are different in 3-4 years? Went to an RV show in Jan and told there was a 5 yr wait now, but they called me 2 days later and had one that came in and was cancelled by the buyer, for $2500 down I could have bought the $200K+ RL model but was not ready to jump on it that fast, I am a few years away.
