My husband and I have worked together and done lots of DIY projects for almost 50 years. I design and he builds and finishes.
You two are just too cute for your own good. Glad I found your channel.
I love how you are always reusing and not filling up the landfills and making something beautiful and useful at the same time!
Jo-Anne Macahn no need to throw away.
instablaster.
Make a wide board that will span a sink and cut a hole in one end and insert a colander.
These remind me of the wooden paddle things they used to get things out if the oven at the Italian restaurant I worked at years ago!
You two are so lucky to have each other ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏
I loveeeee my board!! It sits against my backsplash all the time and people love it!!! Thank you!!
Nice! That’s a great spot for them.
such an interesting variety of boards you've made....love your advice that successful marriage is about getting over your "disagreements"...having been married most of my life I would have to agree with you there
Thanks! ❤️❤️
I just love these older videos ❤
Could u show picture of the grinding wheel from harbor don't know what to get. Thanks. Everything looks great so creative!!
PLUS tips on how to work with your spouse! Love it!
😊❤️❤️
Zeb you are tooo funny!!!!!!! Jaime you have a great guy there........You two are awesome together!!!!!!! LOve, love the cutting boards...
😊❤️❤️
Tip#1-10.....Yes dear!
Truth!
OMG!!! These cutting boards are just so beautiful!!!! I love old wood!!!
Those turned out dreamy gorgeous! You never fail to impress!
Wow! Those cutting boards are beautiful.
Your cutting boards are awesome ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Turned out fantastic guys and you are absolutely right, don’t let whatever get you down. I often get in my own head and overthink something that’s really nothing or not about anything going on in my life and I have to remind myself to stop, lol.
😊❤️❤️❤️
The cutting boards are so cool. You should get a pyrography kit so you can personalize them with initials. Zeb, I’m happy to hear you got a chuck to start turning bowls. I’m sure you’ll love it!
Love this upcycle, reduce and reuse project💛
Oh my gosh. I am making pumpkins instead of cheese boards!! But when I get my wood carving black for my angle grinders look out!!! So love this video!!!!
I meant they look like pumpkins. But I am goi g to work on it!!
I love them all ! But that first one you put hemp oil on ,I’m in love it’s Gorgeous. Looks like my over 100 year old rolling pin ,that was whittled by my Great Great Grandfather . It was a wedding Gift ,when my Great Grandmother got married .
What an awesome gift! ❤️❤️
very cool. I also love that you reuse and save items for a new life.
Absolutely love you up cycle ideas. Thank you for being you.
They look great and are almost all profit. Useful and an amazing display in the store. I sadly have a plastic one from Dollar Store. Time to make a step up. I loved the one with just the hemp oil.♥️👍😊
Go Jami, Go Jami.... Doing great with those tools. LOL I love these cutting boards.
Im obsessed with cutting boards lately those are gorgeous I would keep some of those for your 1917 Farmhouse 😁
We kept two! ZEB STILL HAS TO FINISH OURS. 😂😂
I like, some 1 by 12 would make good pizza paddles too
Just went down to the lake and found a couple of drift boards. Thanks for the inspiration
Nice!
I love your channel. Can’t have enough cutting boards. Love the way you utilize old wood instead of wasting it! Looking forward to more videos.
I love this. I have a small piece of left over old wood, and wasn’t sure what to do with it. Now I know.
These are awesome! Thank you for sharing how to make them.
Oh my goodness, that wood is so beautiful, and so glad you are reusing it!! ♥️ I have so many offcuts in my Jenga room (it's a bit like playing the wood toppling game getting anything out!), but never thought to make a butcher block with some of the thicker bits..next project!! 😁
That would be fun!
Love old wood. Nice project.
Boy, that old wood is just beautiful! The new doesn’t compare to me. Love what you’ve done with it! I’ll have to get some of that hemp oil.
❤️❤️
Love the 20 yr old wood grinder! With that great tool, I'd make a center "well" or depression for making dough (flour piled with a raw egg center, slippery lit'l egg always runs away) and/or individual EGG pockets/craddles for whole eggs so they won't roll away!?
Imagine a Big Old Butcher Block Top like the wonderful French butcher shops had - all uneven, worn in the one working spot, with the lowest portion leading the liquids to a catch bucket?! Not practical but so neat and can never find (here in the USA).
Have fun!
Casey Trudeau we love the angle grinder for dough bowls. Have you seen our dough bowl video? Zeb actually used two boards to make a dough bowl. It was pretty cool
Brilliant! I am definitely going to try this 😍
I've been wanting to learn this so thank you very much.
Great video! I love this “how to” make cutting boards. I’m sitting here at the Georgia Welcome Center eating my lunch on my way to Florida from North Carolina. What a fun rest stop ♥️♥️🦋
Safe travels!
Jami, your face in response to "wake up every day and just start having fun" is absolutely priceless!!!! I love it!! You two are so cute!!
Hehe. My face can’t hide the truth!. 😂😂
Beautiful cutting /serving boards. Love that you used the old wood
Those are looking really good. I like the way you make useful things out of leftover materials. You could also make little shelves out of the wood planks and put hooks under them for towels or mugs. Or just a board with hooks as a coat/ hat rack.
Wow really informative video thank you so much love love these breadboards ❤️❤️❤️
I really like the cutting board video great gifts. And I was wondering why hemp oil make sense now that you told us.
Not being a critic but Jami, you had be holding my breath when you were going hard with the angle grinder. I have all the power tools but those freak me out a little. One day I'll get past my fear. Beautiful work!!
The angle grinder is hard because it torques down and can twist in your hand. Thank goodness for safety release switches!
Love these!! Question- with these being cutting boards, do you have to reseal them after a certain period as you painted them? Just wondering how they hold up to being washed and what care/upkeep tips to give my customers ☺️
Kathryn Malloy they hold up well to washing. Treat them like a butcher block, they may need re-oiled after awhile.
Well you are little!! 😂😘love it.
SUPER love this video guys! Thank you so much, looks pretty easy and certainly lucrative!
Love them. Especially love the rounder one.
You go Jami girl!!! , you guys work together so well great guy .Wow how beautiful. All the pieces., love the finish you put on.thanks for the tip about hemp oil
Maria thanks!
Those turned out awesome! 🤩
I'm going into my own business and I can't wait to do this
Oh you guys have no idea how much I love you right now! I have been trying to find more natural up cycled rustic pieces to put in my store and this is 1000000% Exactly on the money of what I have been looking for! I haven't gotten a chance to use my new grinder And I have a ton of salvage wood so I cannot wait to make some Salvage Awesomeness!! ❤❤ Also see you guys are so adorable this was hands down an amazing video in every way!👏👏👍👍
Amy Mitchell can’t wait to see what you make!
Yeah you can make things look old. But you can't beam history into a piece. That's the best part of all.
❤️❤️
Awesome upcycle, I especially love all the unique shapes. Reminds me of those big wood bowls you have.
I really appreciate how well y’all work together! God bless y’all and stay safe K
Love this video and tool 101. I could totally make this. You give me so much confidence and inspiration and take the scare out of the tools. Thank you so much!!!
How awesome true vintage wood. These are amazing, always recycle if possible always no waste and easy on the pocket book.
Fantastic tips and ideas! 👍 I always enjoy watching your videos because they’re so inspiring. Thank you 😊
❤️❤️
humor! I love your humor
I have lots of wood I could do this with. Thanks for the great idea!
I love these boards
Loved all of them, what a fab idea!
❤️❤️❤️ thanks Mandy!
I’m wondering if you liked the angle grinder for first pass to get sharp edges off before using sanding? I have always used the sander but some projects take quite a bit of time and effort to get them rounded and looking old. How much do you sell the large boards for? Oh my rule for arguing is ask the question “will this matter a year from now?” If not move on👍🏻Thanks for sharing😊
Oh yeah. The angle grinder is so fast!
When we use the old wood from the farmhouse The large boards sell for around $100.00.
Fantastic idea!!! Thanks for sharing such great ideas to reuse. 😍
How nice those came out.
Me: Go to Pottery Barn and buy an expensive Cutting Board Zeb & Jami: Let's just make our own from old wood.
Hehe 😊❤️
WOW... those are nice!!! Great job you 2!

And... now I have to learn how to use a jigsaw. Next Christmas I'll have my husband frantically searching for a pink jigsaw.
A pink one would be so fun!
Totally love these 💕

Love them x
Thanks! I want to make some now with my charming (math challenged) husband...haha
Great job
These are awesome!
Love this what a fantastic idea
Love them
Could you please show and tell me the type/brand blade you are using in the angle grinder you got from harbor freight? I love your videos!!!
It’s a wood carving wheel/disk for an angle grinder. I get mine at harbor freight.
LOVE IT
Do you first wash the wood after you sand before adding the hemp oil? If the wood is old, seems it may hold alot of dirt inside the cracks? I Love this video...and the boards are so pretty!f Thankyou!
Loved the video! May I ask the approximate length/width of the cutting boards made. I did not hear that mentioned on the video. Thanks!
11x38”
Fantastic job Jami and Zeb!
Just out of curiosity, what will you sell them for?
