We do real estate videos from time to time as many of our viewers are looking at moving to Ecuador and want to see homes for sale and rent to get an idea about price. We always contact real estate agents ourselves and ask if they are interested to showing properties on video. We don't get paid by them for showing any properties. This is all about showing our viewers what they are interested in seeing. Take care and live the life you love.
This makes me want to move to Cuenca. Beautiful views everywhere you go 😍.
Beautiful safe city. Thanks for watching
Very nice places. The penthouse is in the Rosa Zone. Between Gringolandia and El Centro. A nice area for expats. Nice apartments like this on long term rent/lease for $650/$750. The house is on the other side of El Centro in the San Blas neighborhood. Not as many Gringo's. I like this area. It's a short walk to everything I like. The $750 a month for the apartment seems a little high for the area. But, if it was all inclusive and they let me have my cat I would think about it. A perfect place for a single person. Hope you don't mind me putting in numbers for those of us not looking to buy.
Thanks for sharing your expertise and watching.
Great video. Thank you! Those properties are fantastic! Suggest showing location on a city map in the future.
Thanks for watching. Yes great idea.
Both places are gorgeous! What are the name of the neighborhoods? I am looking for a residence that is near the center of the city, but quiet and both of these fit the bill!
That's great. We are not from Cuenca but please contact Ashley. Her contact information is in the description.
Penthouse is in Zone Rosa. West of El Centro. The house is in San Blas. East of El Centro. Cities are noisy. Side streets are better. But if you're noise sensitive they may still bother you. To the South, across the river are the neighborhoods of El Vergel and Remigio Crespo. Same easy walking to El Centro but much quieter.
Great tours! Kris definitely looks and sounds like she's gearing up for a new career :)
I know you live on the coast. How would I reach you to share some vino??
I think she is loving retirement too much ❤️ lol
Lol great. Send me an email to michaelalbertnelson@gmail.com.
I'm not there full time yet, but I'd love to share some vino on my next trip. My place is in Santa Marianita - where is yours?@@Robinsvideos2011
Great video! Love the properties! Ashley is adorable, seems so sweet.
Thanks 👍. Ashley is amazing. People seem to love the real estate tours. Lots of views. We love doing them. Always nice to see what's out there.
Love the rounded doors
We have some new tours coming up on the coast in a month or so.
Thank you ☺️ for sharing ! Some great options
Thanks for watching
Loved the videos (Part 1 and 2). Would love to see more rural (offg-grid?) properties in the Cuenca area. I have a (big) dog and would definitely need a garden. Alternatively, are there any gated communities with amenities like clubhouse, pool, etc? Would love to see some of those. Thanks for sharing! 😃
Hi. Thanks for watching. Unfortunately we are back on the coast and not doing anymore Cuenca Real estate videos until next year. However there are some beautiful rural properties outside Cuenca. Contact Ashley. Her website has many of them. Good luck.
Great job guys!....very informative
Ya it's beautiful. Go for it. We will visit you in the Airbnb. Thanks for watching. Serious ly it was even better in person. Beautiful place.
I don't think I want to live in Cuenca but, y'all sure do make it a must see. I can certainly see how people "live the life they love" there.
Yes we are coast people ourselves but Cuenca is a beautiful place to visit for us.
@@KrisandMike and shop....right Kris??? 😀
@@KrisandMike Coastal areas in Ecuador are becoming more and more dngerous by the day, nice areas but soon only the gangs will be able to move around while shooting one another.
Hola! You have the best realtor. We looked at a few properties in The surrounding areas of Cuenca with her. We ended up north of Quito. Loving
Life!
That's great 👍. Congrats on your move. Enjoy
That last property is beautiful ❤
🙏
Awesome videos. I do not know why it took so long for me to find your channel.
Makes me want to move there ASAP but still have 18 mos to retire.
Took exploratory trip in 2019 met Amelia and JP while there but then Covid hit
Thanks for watching. It is a great country. We love it here.
Could you do a videos with Ashley for homes/condos in Challuabanba which s a short distance from Cuenca and another one for Cumbaya which near the airport & Quito.
We would love to but we live on the coast. However the real estate videos are popular so when we travel we will do one. Thanks 👍
Love the Cuenca videos. 😊
One or Maybe two more coming. Thanks 👍
Did you mention what your 'driver' to Cuenca cost ? Now flights....manta to Cuenca? Convenient ? Cost?
Also, LATAM has flts Miami to quito, hour layover, last leg to Cuenca. *ERIC and Sandy@* show ( utube) LATAM flts and rave about superior service, cleanliness flying LATAM. I saw added flts, LATAM Boston and New York. I didn't check flt times, connections. LATAM is in partnership w Delta I'm told. LATAM= owned by Chilean Co.
The first apartment looks really nice. But so much traffic noise is coming in through those windows. Has Ecuador not invented double glazed windows with a good seal yet?
Noise is looked at differently here lol We could do a whole video on it.
@@KrisandMike I guess you are right. But could you buy an apartment and change all windows to double or tripple glazed? Or do they not exist? It would do wonders to both the noise level and the energy bill (heating / airconditioning)
@@brianhansen2202They must have it in the cooler valleys like Cuenca but I am not sure. Part of the noise problem in cities is the motorcycles that many clearly are not using mufflers or they are broken. Lol.
Hey Kris and Mike. I'm going to be in Cuenca Nov 2-4. Would love to meet you! I'm going to end my trip in Puerto Lopez.
We actually live on the coast just north of Olon. Would be happy to meet if you will be in the area. Enjoy your trip.
Wow.. that first Penthouse I was thinking at least double the $120k price .. seller must be desperate
Great prices compared to the craziness in Canada and the USA.
What kind of heating and cooling does the first one have?
Thanks for watching. Please contact Ashley the agent. Contact info in description.
Nice video. No one ever mentions HOA fee's. Are there HOA fee's with the apartment ?
Almost all are very small. Well under 100. Thanks 👍
Mike, you mentioned 10% CD's. Have you done that, or just heard about it?
So the banks are over 8% now and the co-operatives are 9-11%. I have one in my bank - banco Guayaquil. Am planning on diversifying into multiple institutions. Waiting on better exchange rate for the Canadian dollar.
what ae re condo fees + electric monthly bills all costs
In all of Ecuador almost all condo fees are under 100. That place was 81. Electric bills are typically 30-80 unless you use air conditioners which would be for the coast and amazon area. Rest of the bills are all very cheap. Property taxes is usually around 100 a year. Yes that cheap. If you want specific info for that condo please contact Ashley. Check description of video for info. Thanks for watching.
Utilities for most people ( gas, electric, water, internet ) run below $100.
I never deal with expat salespeople. For buying or for renting. You will end up paying between %30 to %50 % more money. Get an interpreter and dead direct local owners. Use a lawyer and check the contract. Also, search for government value.
Thanks for watching and your advice.
