@@eviceI didn’t really see how they could naturally unless they just pretend that scene happened at a different time, but if that’s what they do, they’ll probably add it in AFTER the next episode so that it fits in more closely to the resolution of that problem in the final two episodes
@@BuddyChy Adaptations of anything not just anime frequently mixes up scenes for whatever pacing they’re trying to obtain. If they have to say it happens at a different time, they’ll just write the scene for it to make sense at a different time.

Can we all respect the fact of how they handle fitz and Rudy’s relationship, I have never once felt like it was over the top, or super cringe. It’s really nice interactions which is like taking small bites of sweets
Yeah, the viewers acting impatient and annoyed are bugging the crap out of me. It’s not even like there’s a whole bunch of cheesy close calls. They’re just two really good friends right now. Even novel readers being impatient and annoyed bugged the crap out of me. Just enjoy ing the ride is a far better and more fulfilling experience than demanding they get it over with it. I was always calmed by the feeling that it was inevitable as if it was just destiny taking it’s course and not something I had to worry myself over.
Honestly I think it's rly disappointing that they skipped everything that showed how scared everyone was and how big of a deal was that Rudy won. I remember reading this and being hyped as hell but in the anime they made it look so casual and unimpressive for some reason... In the Novel this encounter was built up to be such a big deal.
Agree, I thought it was on the uprise with how good last episode was but for me a lot of these big scenes and the build up to them have just fallen flat.

Read the manga or if you want even more go for the LN. MT is so far ahead all other LNs in terms of contents we are already on the stage of Rudeus' children. There's plenty of content for you to read through so just enjoy.
This story is so good i could experience it 3 times and still doesnot lose its charm, even then i on top of all that i still love this story told by you now so its the 4th time
It was less impactful. In the light novels Rudy went all out on the stone canon spell and obliterated half of the demon king’s body. Had he not been able to regenerate his body he most certainly be dead.
This episode had the 2 BEST Rudi faces in the anime yet. I had to rewind and pause it and just LOL like a madman. My neighbors must think I'm crazy. Great Ep!
Badigadi is one of my favorite characters in the series and I enjoyed the way they depicted this initial encounter, tho I am surprised they glossed over Badigadi asking about wounding Orsted. I was a little sad to see how much was skipped around Cliff and the Rudy friend group, but I suspect they might retroactively do some story telling like they have in other episodes to close up some story holes. Overall I have really enjoyed the animation, but it really makes you appreciate the detail in the novels.

As an anime only, I did feel like the episode felt weird, as in, the skiped a lot. But I can not blame them for that as it is a long part of the story and they gotta cut a lot.
Yeah and there’s quite a lot left in Volum 9 to fit into the next 3 episodes. I get it but still disappointed. The part where Rudy ends up telling his home room that he has ED was a particular scene I wish wasn’t skipped.
@@HenshinFanatic absolutely, but the people making the anime have to fit what they deem important into their rigid constraints of episode length, season length, and pacing out each volume to roughly the same number of episodes to reach certain story markers exactly when they want to reach them. If it were up to me, I’d adapt everything pretty much 1 to 1 even if it meant each episode being a different length, giving longer volumes more episodes, and making a season however long it takes.
He was like the Kool-aid man and jumped through the roof but they didn't even animated it. That would have been one of the greatest gifs every. So many meme would have been made from it. Sadly no Kool-aid jump.

It's still decent...Though it looks like They have been Truncating the story from the light novels...In the light novels, Baddigati created quite a furvor at the Ranoa University of Magic that the school guards, summoned Ranoa kingdom knights, and mages descended upon the school 🏫🎒 for a Demonic threat ...After Rudius' dual, King 👑 Baddi surrendered to the forces of Ranoa , offered one of his arms to cover enrollment in the university, and assist the guards and kingdom knights with special training in Demon 😈 King Martial Arts.....
Since you mentioned that Rudeus' soul was transferred to this Greyrat baby, I wonder what "Rudeus" would be like if the transfer didn't happen. I would love to see a spin off on this!
My take on Elinalise and Cliff is that she's willing to give it a shot, and if it doesn't work out she's got her system in place and she can always go back to that. But she would like to be rid of the curse, so it's worth it to her to give him a chance to try.
I think the thing with Rudeus magic skills is a direct implementation of how King Class spells works but applied to everything else, Rudeus basically condenses his enormous mana pool which most people doesn't have and shots any spell with the intended power and intensity that he desires and trained for so long to control, that's my take, there's a mix of resources, experience and application to make Rudeus stronger than most mages, probably any other King Class mage could produce better results if they had the same experience and knowledge
Well, adapting a Light Novel to Anime is different from adapting a Manga to Anime (I think the people that are complaining need to understand that, ANIME is a whole different medium of telling a story - it's more limited in a way), in a Light Novel there is just so much more content, there is no way they would adapt 1 to 1 like in the majority of Manga adaptations to Anime (they would need much more budget, and, still there would be things left out), since season 1 there is cut content, plus this arc I heard is pretty big in the LN with lots of details, if volume 7 wasn't adapted this arc would have cut less, but, volume 7 was needed is some ways, yet I think the adaption is going pretty well like season 1, and I loved the episode (and anime only-watchers too), with just a few more lines or actions/references in the next episodes they can give more context to certain things easily (Though the way it is right now is fine, in my opinion).
rudeus stone cannon originally is little rock that he hit linia and pursena. by modifying it he created something really different and that is possible because rudeus trained in making figurines with earth magic.
I've been watching this season and getting the feeling like they skipped some stuff. I didnt read the manga so I had no confirmation but just a feeling. So I come across the video randomly and I'm like what the fuck. I'm gonna go back and watch all the previous episode recaps.
Not sure if you guys read the manga of this series, but it showed the next day when Rudy let the beast girls go everyone say the drawings and pieces together the girls were in the boys dorm causing most of the students to avoid him(also explains why he has called quagmire ), there was also a scene where he fixed the statue, and lastly in the aftermath in the duel he got lectured by teachers and became even more unpopular amongst students. So for most you you you hated Rudeus the last couple of episodes check out chaps 62-68.
They should have not skipped when Badigadi asked Ruddy if he was able to scratch Orsterd when they battle. Since that part was the reason why he asked him to hit him once.
Skipping the Ooooh it's so big may be a missed opportunity, but also likely wouldn't happen because Fitz has already seen Rudeus' staff during his entrance exam/duel against them.
There's still time for you to get a phone call to do the dub Andrew. BWAHAHAHA . I was slightly dissapointed that Badi didn't explode like it was described in the LN, then see the parts slowly come back togther (it as described as bloodless, so I don't think would have been overly graphic).
As someone that hasn’t read the LN and has only seen the anime, seeing Elinalise on Cliffs lap the next scene was pretty jarring. Pretty much having the same reaction as Rudeus. Going off of what I’ve seen and known of her in the anime, I figured Cliff might’ve found some sort of spell or something to make her fall for him considering they hadn’t really told us much about Cliff. (It’s not like that kind of thing hasn’t happened before in other anime so I considered it a reasonable outcome) but hearing that it isn’t still kind of baffles me but am glad it’s not that type of situation.
Then of course, there's the other POV story of Nina Falon (The Sword ⚔️🗡️ Gods daughter and Eris GreyRats rival from the Sword Sanctum in the Sword ⚔️🗡️ Kingdom.) She went to Ranoa to scout out Rudy for some payback on Eris....But instead ahe seemed to like Rudy .. Keeping it secret from Eris that she knew of his whereabouts and what he was doing ...
Without getting into any specific spoilers, I'm pretty sure if memory serves that the Ogre God and island play some relatively big roles far into the future of the LN so I'm surprised they'd skip it's introduction here. Maybe we'll get a Badigadi OVA after the season ends. But yeah, then again I wouldn't mind a Julie OVA, or a blue haired girl OVA, etc. I knew when I saw certain things they would get to this season in the trailer that there'd have to be a lot of skipped content. The school arc wasn't the most exciting, but it is jam packed with most of the character introductions and building that set up the faster paced arcs in the future.
It was a shame Rudy's staff joke (and subsequent tingle) along with the fact that Rudy had scratched Orsted were not mentioned (the latter being kind of an important detail). It also would have been nice make Linia bemore flirty with Rudy, as she was in the LN. I was also looking forward to the ED reveal to the class, but nip-picks aside, I can't complain too much as it was still a great episode.
Not that I personally care much, but, some of this stuff, the summoning magic and such, could potentially count as spoilers for any anime only fans out there cause I'm more than certain that's what will be covered in the next episode. They probably just restructured it because it would be easier to just handle all the same subject matter at the same time.
I don’t understand why the anime skipped “battle aura”! It’s easy to explain and it’s mentioned somewhat in the hydra fight with Elinalise but never really explained.
One thing a dont like about this season. Is how that dont show what other people are doing? Like roxy and others. Season one did a great job of opening the world and showing more the just one story lining at a time.
In the novel from volumes 7-9, there is no Roxy's pov.(But there is a Sylphy pov that the anime is adapting.) pov Eris at the end of volume 9(maybe OVA). *Anime Reference Novel
My understanding is, it wasn't just the fact that Rudeus didn't do anything to the girls, they can smell his lack of arousal. This is also why he can touch them in the classroom and not necessarily get a reaction. This point would have been good to bring up in the anime, without it everyone hates on Rudeus for being perverted, but I think he's just willing to try things to cure his ailment. Haven't made it that far yet in the novel
I HAVE NOT READ THE NOVEL… but I do have a theory: if summoning magic can summon a soul, then what’s left to summon a whole person is their body, and so maybe teleportation spells are just a combination of other placements magic spells… maybe?
Bagidadi sounds like I expected but I thought he was pitch black in color not lavender. I like them including Bubbles (nina Eris's "friend") I thought they would cut her out.
Nah, i still think rudeus has the massive mana pool because he is two pool in one, kirishima mention and ask if he had a twin and absorbed it, orsted mention paul only had 2 daughters, so in the previous loops, rudeus was supposed to be born dead, since his soul was incarnated in to that bay, he his the baby and his pool, so he is double stacking. I dont think he has anything to do with the teleportation incident, as orstead know Eris and paul, and they both lives in different places and would had completely different lives if rudeus were never there. This is a point that many dont think about, how many lives rudeus changed, if he truly never being borned, zenith paul and lilia would be different people, selfie would maybe never be saved and had to live in hidding, eris would be sold to that noble, ruijerd would continue his path as dead end, doldia would suffer all those kidnaping, roxxy would never get anywhere as it was teaching rudeus that made her look to improve herself, she would also never heard of paul and his old team, just to start, when you start to add the people he helped helping other like fitz, he changed the world in a sense.
I knew Cliff and Elinalise was coming, but personally I don't love it (yet at least) I like my Elinalise s&#$*y. I don't like the idea of her getting "cured". I did love Badi, that was all hilarious. One thing I would love to see though is the actual teachers, right now the place seems deserted. And yeah, I assumed they wouldn't animate Badi too much, not because of the 6 arms, but because of the definition of his body, it's hard to keep that many muscles properly animated XD
I thought the first time Cliff sees Elinalise in the novel, she was getting railed in the window, but he didn't notice? Maybe that was something from the web novel that got changed, or maybe I'm just totally misremembering. Also, didn't Badigadi stay small for a while in the novel?
Yeah, I think he mentioned some of his bits were scattered a REALLY long disance away and needed to come back to him. And idk if he mentions that Rudeus’ spell is probably around Emperor level here, too.
I was wondering why there is a demon lord on the school ground and no body is doing anything about it, on top of it they didn't show why he was able to stay on school. The conversation about dragon god was also very important🤷

I love the Mushoku Tensei series, but preferred the slower pacing the prior director took with season 1. I enjoy season 2, but the new director has been blitzing through a lot of side material, which adds more depth to some scenes. They even had a small part with the Sword God’s daughter in the background of this episode, but skipped the whole reason why she was there. 😢 They need to make a 1/2 season OVA just to fill in Eris’ story during this time which segments into this episode.
@ONeill1421 I’m not saying they have to put everything. Given it’s from a light novel it’s more than likely not probable, but they really have cut a lot & or sped up moments where they could have slowed it down & added more context to add some depth to important moments. To be honest I think season 1’s director was brilliant by having the opening song as part of the opening of the episode & not a opening video with that extra 1 minute 30 seconds times that by 24 episodes & you have an extra 36 minutes to work with. Which is why I feel the 1st season was able to fit so much more into those 2 cours.
We finally reached an episode where I have major complaints. Rudeus DESTROYED that Goro-looking demon-god. Why didn't they show his upper torso being OBLITERATED? It just looks like Rudeus made him do a little kaboom and fall down. WHY would they not show just how badly Rudy destroys this guy?
Maybe it is just cause I started reading the light novels from volume 7, but the anime feels like it struggles a lot with adapting material with a more slice of life structure, there's no way to have all the context in this format but I really miss more of Rudy's inner talk that I think we do had in S1, Badi's fight felt too nonchalant while Rudeus in the novel was clenching his cheeks for survival just at the tough of facing a demon king, he couldn't belive he 360 nonscoped Badi, and the school was shocked. Hope the narrative feels less thin once we are done with the school stuff and on the more serious topics of next cour.
I blame it on the new director. They probably don't have quite as much reverence for the source as the previous director and staff. (I remember them fighting over who would do the kishirika introduction)
@@eyevou It's just harder to do the season 2 content, lots of the inner dialogue is not from Rudy, which makes it impossible to tell those parts naturally.

Wasn't the reason Cliff almost said he didn't need Rudy's help was because he did the same thing to Eris the first time they met and she punched him hard. He realized that when someone helps you, you should thank them. He put away his pride a bit. This episode really disappointed me. Elinalise/Cliff part was to quick. And the Rudy Fight was way too down played. I remember how everyone was coming to fight him and day after day he kept getting challenged and it only grew. And the fact nobody in the school even bothered to stop this it was getting in Rudy's head. Yeah he can beat them but still all the people coming to him day after day and it inly growing could be annoying.
I could be wrong but if i remember correctly linia with her enhanced sense of smell also was confused by the fact that she could no smell the scent of arousal from Rudy even when he did grab her chest or stripped them down. In essence she couldn't smell an erection from our boii or any hint of one which she thought was weird. If i am wrong please correct me though.
Yeah, when he mentioned that part I had that realization. Like "Oh, they can smell that he's NOT aroused". Like that has to be it, just for the contrast with the time the Doldia tribe smelled him being aroused.
After watching season I didn't think I would continue to watch season 2. I really disliked Eris and her treatment of Rudeus, especially at the end of the season; it felt one-sided, like she only used Rudeus. With Sara at the beginning of this season I felt it would go the same way and I came to also dislike Sara. I mention this because putting these two characters to the side the story is quite solid, a little less action than I would like but still good. It seems to me that Rudeus' issue with ED is just something that is giving time for things to happen and build up for, what I hope is, a fantastic conclusion where Rudeus finally acknowledges his strength and is able to move on. Then again, I have only watched the anime so their might be more unexpected surprises and plot twists than I could imagine.

As an anime only, I did feel like the episode felt weird, as in, the skiped a lot. But I can not blame them for that as it is a long part of the story and they gotta cut a lot.
Yeah and there’s quite a lot left in Volum 9 to fit into the next 3 episodes. I get it but still disappointed. The part where Rudy ends up telling his home room that he has ED was a particular scene I wish wasn’t skipped.

@@HenshinFanatic absolutely, but the people making the anime have to fit what they deem important into their rigid constraints of episode length, season length, and pacing out each volume to roughly the same number of episodes to reach certain story markers exactly when they want to reach them. If it were up to me, I’d adapt everything pretty much 1 to 1 even if it meant each episode being a different length, giving longer volumes more episodes, and making a season however long it takes.

My take on Elinalise and Cliff is that she's willing to give it a shot, and if it doesn't work out she's got her system in place and she can always go back to that. But she would like to be rid of the curse, so it's worth it to her to give him a chance to try.
I think the thing with Rudeus magic skills is a direct implementation of how King Class spells works but applied to everything else, Rudeus basically condenses his enormous mana pool which most people doesn't have and shots any spell with the intended power and intensity that he desires and trained for so long to control, that's my take, there's a mix of resources, experience and application to make Rudeus stronger than most mages, probably any other King Class mage could produce better results if they had the same experience and knowledge
Well, adapting a Light Novel to Anime is different from adapting a Manga to Anime (I think the people that are complaining need to understand that, ANIME is a whole different medium of telling a story - it's more limited in a way), in a Light Novel there is just so much more content, there is no way they would adapt 1 to 1 like in the majority of Manga adaptations to Anime (they would need much more budget, and, still there would be things left out), since season 1 there is cut content, plus this arc I heard is pretty big in the LN with lots of details, if volume 7 wasn't adapted this arc would have cut less, but, volume 7 was needed is some ways, yet I think the adaption is going pretty well like season 1, and I loved the episode (and anime only-watchers too), with just a few more lines or actions/references in the next episodes they can give more context to certain things easily (Though the way it is right now is fine, in my opinion).

Not sure if you guys read the manga of this series, but it showed the next day when Rudy let the beast girls go everyone say the drawings and pieces together the girls were in the boys dorm causing most of the students to avoid him(also explains why he has called quagmire ), there was also a scene where he fixed the statue, and lastly in the aftermath in the duel he got lectured by teachers and became even more unpopular amongst students. So for most you you you hated Rudeus the last couple of episodes check out chaps 62-68.
They should have not skipped when Badigadi asked Ruddy if he was able to scratch Orsterd when they battle. Since that part was the reason why he asked him to hit him once.

As someone that hasn’t read the LN and has only seen the anime, seeing Elinalise on Cliffs lap the next scene was pretty jarring. Pretty much having the same reaction as Rudeus. Going off of what I’ve seen and known of her in the anime, I figured Cliff might’ve found some sort of spell or something to make her fall for him considering they hadn’t really told us much about Cliff. (It’s not like that kind of thing hasn’t happened before in other anime so I considered it a reasonable outcome) but hearing that it isn’t still kind of baffles me but am glad it’s not that type of situation.
Then of course, there's the other POV story of Nina Falon (The Sword ⚔️🗡️ Gods daughter and Eris GreyRats rival from the Sword Sanctum in the Sword ⚔️🗡️ Kingdom.) She went to Ranoa to scout out Rudy for some payback on Eris....But instead ahe seemed to like Rudy .. Keeping it secret from Eris that she knew of his whereabouts and what he was doing ...
Without getting into any specific spoilers, I'm pretty sure if memory serves that the Ogre God and island play some relatively big roles far into the future of the LN so I'm surprised they'd skip it's introduction here. Maybe we'll get a Badigadi OVA after the season ends. But yeah, then again I wouldn't mind a Julie OVA, or a blue haired girl OVA, etc. I knew when I saw certain things they would get to this season in the trailer that there'd have to be a lot of skipped content. The school arc wasn't the most exciting, but it is jam packed with most of the character introductions and building that set up the faster paced arcs in the future.
It was a shame Rudy's staff joke (and subsequent tingle) along with the fact that Rudy had scratched Orsted were not mentioned (the latter being kind of an important detail). It also would have been nice make Linia bemore flirty with Rudy, as she was in the LN. I was also looking forward to the ED reveal to the class, but nip-picks aside, I can't complain too much as it was still a great episode.
Not that I personally care much, but, some of this stuff, the summoning magic and such, could potentially count as spoilers for any anime only fans out there cause I'm more than certain that's what will be covered in the next episode. They probably just restructured it because it would be easier to just handle all the same subject matter at the same time.

I don’t understand why the anime skipped “battle aura”! It’s easy to explain and it’s mentioned somewhat in the hydra fight with Elinalise but never really explained.
One thing a dont like about this season. Is how that dont show what other people are doing? Like roxy and others. Season one did a great job of opening the world and showing more the just one story lining at a time.
In the novel from volumes 7-9, there is no Roxy's pov.(But there is a Sylphy pov that the anime is adapting.)

My understanding is, it wasn't just the fact that Rudeus didn't do anything to the girls, they can smell his lack of arousal. This is also why he can touch them in the classroom and not necessarily get a reaction. This point would have been good to bring up in the anime, without it everyone hates on Rudeus for being perverted, but I think he's just willing to try things to cure his ailment.

I HAVE NOT READ THE NOVEL… but I do have a theory: if summoning magic can summon a soul, then what’s left to summon a whole person is their body, and so maybe teleportation spells are just a combination of other placements magic spells… maybe?

Nah, i still think rudeus has the massive mana pool because he is two pool in one, kirishima mention and ask if he had a twin and absorbed it, orsted mention paul only had 2 daughters, so in the previous loops, rudeus was supposed to be born dead, since his soul was incarnated in to that bay, he his the baby and his pool, so he is double stacking. I dont think he has anything to do with the teleportation incident, as orstead know Eris and paul, and they both lives in different places and would had completely different lives if rudeus were never there.
This is a point that many dont think about, how many lives rudeus changed, if he truly never being borned, zenith paul and lilia would be different people, selfie would maybe never be saved and had to live in hidding, eris would be sold to that noble, ruijerd would continue his path as dead end, doldia would suffer all those kidnaping, roxxy would never get anywhere as it was teaching rudeus that made her look to improve herself, she would also never heard of paul and his old team, just to start, when you start to add the people he helped helping other like fitz, he changed the world in a sense.

I knew Cliff and Elinalise was coming, but personally I don't love it (yet at least) I like my Elinalise s&#$*y. I don't like the idea of her getting "cured". I did love Badi, that was all hilarious.
One thing I would love to see though is the actual teachers, right now the place seems deserted.
And yeah, I assumed they wouldn't animate Badi too much, not because of the 6 arms, but because of the definition of his body, it's hard to keep that many muscles properly animated XD

I was wondering why there is a demon lord on the school ground and no body is doing anything about it, on top of it they didn't show why he was able to stay on school. The conversation about dragon god was also very important🤷

I love the Mushoku Tensei series, but preferred the slower pacing the prior director took with season 1. I enjoy season 2, but the new director has been blitzing through a lot of side material, which adds more depth to some scenes. They even had a small part with the Sword God’s daughter in the background of this episode, but skipped the whole reason why she was there. 😢 They need to make a 1/2 season OVA just to fill in Eris’ story during this time which segments into this episode.
Its an anime they cant have everything they only get 12 episodes

Given it’s from a light novel it’s more than likely not probable, but they really have cut a lot & or sped up moments where they could have slowed it down & added more context to add some depth to important moments. To be honest I think season 1’s director was brilliant by having the opening song as part of the opening of the episode & not a opening video with that extra 1 minute 30 seconds times that by 24 episodes & you have an extra 36 minutes to work with. Which is why I feel the 1st season was able to fit so much more into those 2 cours.

We finally reached an episode where I have major complaints. Rudeus DESTROYED that Goro-looking demon-god. Why didn't they show his upper torso being OBLITERATED? It just looks like Rudeus made him do a little kaboom and fall down. WHY would they not show just how badly Rudy destroys this guy?
Maybe it is just cause I started reading the light novels from volume 7, but the anime feels like it struggles a lot with adapting material with a more slice of life structure, there's no way to have all the context in this format but I really miss more of Rudy's inner talk that I think we do had in S1, Badi's fight felt too nonchalant while Rudeus in the novel was clenching his cheeks for survival just at the tough of facing a demon king, he couldn't belive he 360 nonscoped Badi, and the school was shocked.
Hope the narrative feels less thin once we are done with the school stuff and on the more serious topics of next cour.
I blame it on the new director. They probably don't have quite as much reverence for the source as the previous director and staff. (I remember them fighting over who would do the kishirika introduction)
@@eyevou It's just harder to do the season 2 content, lots of the inner dialogue is not from Rudy, which makes it impossible to tell those parts naturally.

Wasn't the reason Cliff almost said he didn't need Rudy's help was because he did the same thing to Eris the first time they met and she punched him hard. He realized that when someone helps you, you should thank them. He put away his pride a bit.
This episode really disappointed me. Elinalise/Cliff part was to quick. And the Rudy Fight was way too down played. I remember how everyone was coming to fight him and day after day he kept getting challenged and it only grew. And the fact nobody in the school even bothered to stop this it was getting in Rudy's head. Yeah he can beat them but still all the people coming to him day after day and it inly growing could be annoying.

I could be wrong but if i remember correctly linia with her enhanced sense of smell also was confused by the fact that she could no smell the scent of arousal from Rudy even when he did grab her chest or stripped them down. In essence she couldn't smell an erection from our boii or any hint of one which she thought was weird. If i am wrong please correct me though.
Yeah, when he mentioned that part I had that realization. Like "Oh, they can smell that he's NOT aroused". Like that has to be it, just for the contrast with the time the Doldia tribe smelled him being aroused.

After watching season I didn't think I would continue to watch season 2. I really disliked Eris and her treatment of Rudeus, especially at the end of the season; it felt one-sided, like she only used Rudeus. With Sara at the beginning of this season I felt it would go the same way and I came to also dislike Sara. I mention this because putting these two characters to the side the story is quite solid, a little less action than I would like but still good.
It seems to me that Rudeus' issue with ED is just something that is giving time for things to happen and build up for, what I hope is, a fantastic conclusion where Rudeus finally acknowledges his strength and is able to move on. Then again, I have only watched the anime so their might be more unexpected surprises and plot twists than I could imagine.
