All of his thoughts could be summed up as "I, who don't have any ambitions towards actually leaving this village wouldn't mind settling down with silphy in the future" she was his sidekick, his student, his responsibility, but not his love interest it was a stark contrast to eris who he was clearly interested in from the beginning, much to the dismay of the general viewership. IF, she had revealed herself in the beginning or even in the library when they bumped into each other, there's a possibility their relationship would not have progressed in the direction she wanted. He'd have another person from his past who had high expectations of him and has seen how far hes fallen. there would have been none of the chemistry and mutual respect created.
True! I agree with many in the idea that her allowing a new relationship to blossom is a great thing. That he can fall for her now, rather than her old self.

They were just kids back then (10 yo if remember right) so he wouldn't even have "equipment" to start anything with her. But he was adamant he wanted to go to magic school with her. Her parents couldn't afford it, so he suggested he will earn money to go there with her.
Maybe Silphy could have gotten around the problem by asking Rudeus about his life in the village, but I think we got a better story because she didn't.
I love this part of MT because it’s so relatable. Her fear of Reddit forgetting her is irrational, but I’ll be damned if irrational fears aren’t the hardest to disregard.

Thats because these moments are those that make u fell in love with the caracters and show the amazing development they have because they are so human(or other race u know what Im talking) i love your videos because you archive to show and expres how they feel and how I feel while reading the LN or watching the anime. Episode 0 covers content to establish Ariel as well as Fitz, which is critical to the story. I don't see covering the same thing but a different perspective happening. Especially since they cut 98% of Eris's perspective previously. But that's the struggle with choosing what is skipped content or not.
i hope they do one for the blue haired sword girl. could tie help keep eris relavant otherwise she wont be back till like end core of season 3 or so. hard to pace the anime

I like these Skipped Content videos. I am (currently) an Anime Only and will likely never read the LN so this stuff helps with background/flavor. Poor Sylphie. She really wants him just to herself but he IS a Greyrat, after all. At least she is the First Wife, but only the Second Time... Sylphie and Eris will always be First Wife vs First Time, at least in my only-partially-spoiled head.
I get the impression that Ariel is just a selfish person that has been using Sylphie all along. Sylphie's opinion of her is just her need for a friend. Yes, Ariel might have developed some slight compassion for Sylphie, but ultimately all she does is for her own benefit.
I think she is "ambitious" and will not hesitate to take advantage of anyone/any situation to further her goals but not to the point of being completely selfish/self-centered with complete disregard for others. I think she does genuinely care for her companions.
At one point ariel investigates elinalise and finds out her and rudeus arent together. So basically it just turns into sylphie dragging her feet......for an entire book. Thats probably the one thing about the story i can say i wasnt fond of. The author REALLY drags it out for far too long. I was fine with it for a book, but its like a book and a half of romantic blueballs.
do you think the OVA for this season will be the blue haired sword users perspective of why she showed up that day. i forget her name its been ages since i read . i think the duels with the savage through to her witnessing the badigadi defeat could be crammed into 1 ep
Just heard from another site (unsure if it's true) that a skipped content was that Sylphie burned down the dorms to get a sleep over with Rudeus before the actual reveal? Although in the other author did mention that she did a "kazuma" at the sleep over... 😅😅
I really wish the anime version didn't gist the story so much that these skipped and cut exposes are that much more meaningful than simply a perspective\ eaction. These are literally someone picking up the clippings from the edit room cut floor and explaining all the material that was cut that makes all the bits make sense that had they just stuck to the damn story would have been fine keeping to a 26 ep. series as was the way would have been much loved rather than this new 12 ep. BS. thank God they've not done that 3 min per ep. BS, but it feels like that's the direction these studios are trying to go with the season lengths. Back to 26 please then we don't have to cut and lose detail that means so much to the story. The anime version and the manga version are practically two versions with the cut content not providing the missing context even though you come to the same conclusions you have to make up some of the connective tissue for why and sometimes it works and sometimes it may not have, until those that read it explained it and then you were like, ohhhh, I see. But I ain't one to gossip... .
Maybe she will get a POV Episode like Sylphie, which would show what she was doing since she left Rudy. But she will not appear in Rudys POV in the next Part.
