Once our little one gets older, we would love to visit Singapore. Thanks for tips. I’ll make sure bring an umbrella. Good to know that English one of the main language. Gum laws, now I know. Thank you for the tutorial.
Santos Chronicles its a pleasure 💕 thank you for watching.. And yes, remember that umbrella.. Even though I live here I still sometimes forget to take it..and I regret it each time😂
thanks for the info! we are enjoying Singapore and we kinda expected/knew most of your points :) but they are very useful for those reaearching first info about SG!
Canning is effective to deter stubborn criminals from going into prison frequently for free food and accommodation. Even gangsters are scared of canning. It is unique of Singapore.
It’s true you can be fined for not flushing but like all laws one have to be caught or proven that one is guilty. So if one is stupid enough to commit an offense and be caught in the act, then, you’ll be fined! Unfortunately, still does not prevent many inconsiderate users from making our public toilets filthy and stinky :( But, as you would know too, while we have lots of laws (fines) for many uncivil or offensive acts, you can hardly see a policeman or even hear police siren on any given day. Perception of Singapore being a draconian city-state cannot be further from the truth. I would fear a policeman in US than in Singapore. Don’t you agree? BTW, durian is one of those food, you either love or hate. But it has many different cultivar (varieties). Perhaps with some help, you may learn to acquire this strong aromatic/pungent fruit with a custardy texture and depending on which cultivar, taste range mix of cheese, onion, alcohol and perhaps ammonia for those who dislike it 😝
somewhat the stores with C hv the best food.. hahaha,,,,, it does not mean that the food in stores rated C are dirty tho, they are the busiest food stalls with the longer queue, perhaps the cook have not cleared up his pails yet due to the amount of customers
Can do anything but dun get caught. Not all punishment involve caning. The enforcer in Sg will only catch people when there’s an operation going on. Especially certain new law n rules, example recently E.scooter, there are many enforcer catching the rider.
Awesome news indeed. Singapore is a tourist city/country so the queue to add money to your travel card be lengthy at most of the MRT station. This is an excellent news and a happy change.

@@intheworldofmariThank you. Next year I will be hitchhiking from China back to UK... I've noticed your use of Boya shortgun mic, it's not the best for your kind of work. Rode VideoMicro is a bit better or try a more condensed microphone. However, Boya lavalier is such a brilliant mic I will recommend for you 110%
RJinspire thank you for the tip! I haven't been very happy with my sound so I have been thinking to invest in the RODE 😊 and yes, I have the lavalier and it works great! Wow hiking back to the UK?! That is awesome! All the best with your planning 😊 and post about your journey!

Strangest law that I know about Singapore - It is illegal to walk around naked in your own home if your neighbour can see you through the window :)
yes! this one I am also aware of.. I agree with Jen LL.. these rules might seem silly but there is definitely good reason behind it :) :)

Nobody got fined for not flushing in public toilets.

Singapore is basically summer temperature outdoors but mostly autumn/spring temperature indoors.
That is very true 😂😂
22-25 degrees indoor aircon = spring /autumn?
Ya. I’m using my iPhone to act as ezlink now.

Thanks for sharing the information Ken! yes I do not think I have ever seen a D rating for a stall.. Have a lovely day!
I think they should station officers in toilets to enforce the flushing law. So far it has not been enforced 🙂
Sean 😂😂😂 that would be hilarious!

Chew the gum ( sugar free ) you smuggle in … just dispose it off properly.
You can't leech on your neighbour's wifi without consent.
You were talking about the strict laws in Singapore. Do you agree or disagree with caning that is done there?
I would rather not express my political opinions on this platform :)

yes, but rightly so. People are driving like mad on the e-scooters! it is not safe..
flusjing public toiletsis a myth!

So i can get on the MRT with my credit card now? When did that happen?
yes! it is so convenient.. Mastercard activated it about 1.5 months ago and for VISA it has been about 2 weeks now :)
Awesome news indeed. Singapore is a tourist city/country so the queue to add money to your travel card be lengthy at most of the MRT station. This is an excellent news and a happy change.
