    Thanks for the update on the ECO button. I was still on break-in when I had the bike in that mode so I didn't notice the difference. I'll give it a try again now that I am free to rev a bit more. Nice video. ;-)

      +Speedsterjohnny eco is great for a rain mode. I gain 10 mph just turning the eco mode off. It really wakes the spiders up! Have fun!

    Love the videos, I think I have watched all of them now lol. I would love to do an off-road spyder project. I think it would be fun.

      +Jeff James I have always thought an off road spyder would be cool but I think that is way they quads. Thank you for watching off road spyder would be cool!

    OMG, 5 minutes into video before you talking about ECO. Came her for information taking forever

      So for the bad video. I will sum it up eco mod remaps for about a 4% increase in your mileage. I like using it not for better fuel mileage but for in the rain it the throttle less responsive So less rear tire spin!

    I give up on the ECO mode with my 2015 RTS SM6. The only time I get 40 ish MPG is on the Blue Ridge Parkway when I'm confined to about 50 mph. Looks like a great place you have to ride.

      +James ES44AC -2 I never get 40 mpg. But the F3 is geared different . I have tons of great roads to ride!! Thank you for watching.

    I love the engine note. Triples sound the business.

    Rode my RTLimited from Maine to Seattle on the interstates once I left Maine. Tried different combinations of eco mode and regular mode for multi tanks loads of fuel.Found that eco mode gave me 4% better mileage if I was in cruise controll at constant speed. If you don't vary the throttle setting, then eco mode has an advantage. If you use different throttle settings (like normal riding) often then eco mode is actually about 3% less efficient

      I think you are the first person to be able the accurately Gage eco mode. I can see a 3-4% jump in fuel mileage. But enough about that..what an amazing trip!

    I have a Spyder f3t and eco mode seems the computer de tunes it. I do like what CanAm has done a good job. I put it into sport mode just to have a little more fun.

      ECO mode does detune the motor, and some techs will tell you not to use it in ECO mode. I like it it it's raining hard. I think it's a great rain mode.

    From what i noticed, with Eco on, until 4000 rpm the power delivery is slower and after that point it just like computer says "Ops, he needs stong acceleration" and gives you all that the 1330 cc can do. But with Eco off it gives you the maximum available at any point of the rev counter. I think it's the best way to describe it. I actually drive only in Eco because the amount of power is more than enough and i van bennefit from that (supposedly) extra mileage.

    Usually ECO mode will soften throttle response electronically and on automatic transmissions it will shift much earlier to try to improve gas mileage. For instance, it won’t let you go to redline even though you have the pedal to the floor before upshifting.

      I have the SM-6 so iys a tone different. I just have the very soft throttle. It helps me from riding like a crazy person some times. Thanks for the comment stay safe

    Aside from better fuel economy. Can the eco mode be used as a "shift teacher" since I'm new to motorcycles in general can I use it to tell me to shift?

    • @spyderryder
      @spyderryder  6 лет назад

      Yes with eco mode it will give you a up shift light only! Plus its great for new riders because it tames the throttle response!!

    • @MrTrevorkemp
      @MrTrevorkemp 4 года назад

      Yes it can when Eco mode is turned on just to the right of the gear position indicator there is a little arrow when that little arrow comes on that means it is time to up shift it is based on the speed engine rpm and a throttle the heavier the throttle you are giving it the longer it will wait for that late to come on kids you are requiring more power and performance out of the machine and that's what it wants to give you but still wants to give you aconomy as well if you are really late on the throttle it will have you hitting your shifts really early if you are really heavy on the throttle it will have you getting ships late but based on how much Lal you are giving it which is the demand for acceleration and speed it will suggests when to shift to help maximize your fuel economy it may only give you 1 or 2 mpg better fuel economy but over all that does add up I'm thinking that you would normally see about 2 or 3 maybe upwards of 5 miles per gallon better fuel economy in Eco mode.

    I wish you would have just got to the point of the title of this video, so what did you find in the difference?

    • @spyderryder
      @spyderryder  6 лет назад +1

      +rg amore im sport it was a bad video...eco mode on a spider is like rain mode on a motorcycle. It cuts tons of power and when you roll on the throttle it is very smooth and is not abrupt! To the point I hope!!
