Gotta tell it like it is, because no one else is saying it. Side by side. The chieftain is an exact copy of the challenger with a different front cowl. Like no joke, Its now the exact same bike. But previously, and having ridden both, both bikes felt different from eachother. And i could see the fit and feel appealing to one person or another both ways. The fuel tank shape of the chieftain was iconic and classic in style. That little leather strip that ran up the tank from the rider seat. Iconic as hell! The old chieftain also had a different seat profile, and very different reach to the bars. Thats all gone now. Not sure how i feel. This isnt a powerplus chieftain at all.
I am a very pro harley fan and.... Yeah. They kinda did. The Chieftain powerplus (pp? really? who names this stuff?) really outguns the street glide. That's not good news.
too Japanese feeling to me, if they were 3-5k cheaper than a Harley but more expensive than Japanese bike I would give it a chance but at this point I would just buy a Harley again .
At this point, Indian should do something about pricing and their limited dealer network.
A lot like a Challenger, I’ll test ride one but my 2017 Chieftain Limited still has a lot of adventures left in her

Indian just destroyed Harley again. Harley releases are always disappointing.

This is probably the end of air-cooled engines and the classic Indian fender skirts.
It's kind of sad...
And exciting too. The powerplus is fantastic.
that is your assumption.
@lexburen5932 that's fact
