    BTW don't forget that these bigger motors have way more TORQUE than the stock Arrma motor, meaning more control in the air. It's not just about high speed. Just saying.

    Thanks for this video I’ve been messing with gears 34/34 gearing is a bit much cogs low end and heats up a lot I’m now running 45/23 and it’s a beast lol thanks for the vids. If many people mess sign the gearing

    Hi, great video, thanks for sharing! I have an Outcast 8s and I just bought the mmx8s and the 800kv combo like you are running. I'm gonna start with the 42/47 gearing as this is what I bought. But watching your video, I think I may have made an error, maybe the shorter wb of the outcast will help keeping it ``alive``

    Jason, you don’t need a different motor. Throw the 43t on for your pinion with the 39t spur you already have installed. You should hit about 60-61mph on pavement with that gearing, and probably 55-57mph in the grass. Temps should still be good even for summer. Have fun brother! 👍🏻

    I think that you need the new Castle XLX2 ESC in there with 39/39 gearing. I'm going to try it out on my Outcast 8s very soon. That esc you are using is rated for vehicles up to 25lbs. You might be taxing it too much. Honestly I think that the Kraton 8s is too damn heavy. That's why I sold it and kept my more fun Outcast 8s

      I have xlx2 800 kv combo on spektrum 4s 5000 nah 80c and this motor doesn’t even know it’s attached to a 8s Kraton. Battery run time sucks but while I got it if I give it more than three-quarter throttle from a dead stop, it’ll put its cell phones roof every single time I just think the 800 KV handles the weight of a heavier rig better than the 1100 the 1100s are great for the in fraction GT which I’m lucky enough to have a all plastic 8s and then a shelf, queen that I built up from a limitless roller into a all metal heart, racing aluminum gear boxes, I mean every single thing on it is hot race in aluminum piece of art should start my own channel

    Hey Jason I’m getting a kraton 8s with the xlx2 esc but can’t decide on which motor 800 or 1100 kv? What would you recommend honestly and what gearing you feel is best? I’ll probably be getting the badland tires like you have and the servo too.

    • @joseCalderon1976
      @joseCalderon1976 4 года назад +1

      Some people are having issues with the 1100kv motor and that esc. My Outcast 8s with stock tires and the XLX2 and 800kv motor with 39/39 gearing is probably hitting around 50mph on grass too like this video. I would run the 1100kv motor from Castle with 24/34 gearing. That would make it get to 50+MPH on grass and pavement in a hurry. I think people are having issues with the 1100kv motor because the one I saw running was not geared correctly. Recommended gearing for 1100kv motors is 25/35. That's what I run on my xmaxx trucks with 1100kv motors from Hobbywing and they are ballistic and run perfectly.

      @@MrLoony690 I used the PPS slider motor mount that bolts right into the Outcast/Kraton 8s motor mount. That's the easiest and most cheapest way to do it. I know it works for the Hobbywing and Castle motors but I'm not sure about that motor you mentioned. I would ask in the Arrma forums since all kinds of motors have been used. Sorry no experience with Leopard.

    7 mph gain is good 👍....shit 1 mph is good. A gain is a gain. Could be worse Could be slower or less torque. By the way how is the torque after the gear change. They say higher pinion more speed but less torque unfortunately for tye these brushless systems are powerful enough to not loose any bottom end.
