Bro, you have got to do ur research. $2500 gone in such a nice rig. Those tires were never meant to be running 70+. But please, please, call ur local hobby shop or RUclips to get a hex that fits Kraton & tires rated for a minimum of 80 to 90. This way 70's no problem. SMH, good luck.
Tires only had a few mm on the ground no traction.. If by chance you run tires like that again take some fishing line and run it around the tread and tie it off it helps a little with ballooning tires. Nice vid though that thing moved..
Nice speed with the Kraton. I feel for you and your loss. I can't believe you took it so well. As they say it's part of the hobby. Speed runs can be catastrophic compared to bashing. Heart breaking , it's such a Beautiful Rig , I have an 8s Kraton EXB running 12s and that's definitely one of my biggest fears , I've also struggled to find a decent tire that can hold those speeds . The Jetko Tomahawk are garbage along with the powerhobby raptor xl's, it always either a belt or they come unglued , I just bought the Proline Masher X . Let's hope they hold up .
I have the mashers and did 77mph last week and they did fine but we'll see past 85mph. I wish proline had an actual steel belted 1/5 24mm tire and wheels for us guys who run 12s or more.
Telephone poles, 1 every 50FT.....RC cars magically fund them every time, poles still wins every time 🤦♂️. I hit a pole with my Limitless at 76mph, after hitting the only 24" piece of curbside on the whole road. It flew in the air & hit the pole. The explosion of parts was like a slow motion video, I saw soo many pieces fly in every direction that it was mind blowing! The car just missed me too, that pole was about 10FT from my side 😬 But, like you said, it's all part of the game. I rebuilt it & rebuilt it stronger & faster! 😎👍
WOW, i do believe that is the most damage i have seen from one crash. My buddy had a similar incident with a brand new 6s kraton, it hit a pole with the back wheel and the result was less but the rear diff split into several pieces and after 30 min of looking for parts in the crash site we found most parts lol not a good start for my buddies first car. cheers for being a good sport.

But I'm going to go down lower on the gearing for bashing. I was running 30/39, but Castle told me that gearing is very aggressive. I'll probably go 30/47 gearing. We'll see. Thanks for the video. Yeah these tires are good for bashing and backflips, but I not for on road or speed runs 😂. You are getting that excessive overload just like I am. Probably geared too high. Another reason why I'm gearing down. I bolted down my XLX2 with the M2C esc plate. I would recommend it.

I’m building a Monster Kraton 8s at the moment. It pains me to see such a nice rig go down like that but I appreciate the closeups especially the damage to the motor as I can think to build some protection for that part of the motor. I swear it always crashes it after it passes you. I crashed my revo 2.0 full blast into a curb right after it passed me. Its hard to judge where its going I feel like.

Ive had a bad habit of eventually turning every build into a speed machine lol . i did a 6s kraton up to 79mph on grp and also hoons. i think hoons gave more grip for those not running 8s monsters . Finally built a speed car proper ( infraction w/ custom tvr body) and got my first triple digit! 103! Hell ya! Good luck!

Nobody ever shares the gearing like it’s a big secret smh. I’ll give you a little help though I have the same system running 39/39 gearing and get consistent 68mph over and over. Every now and then I get 70mph so he’s either running a bigger pinion or smaller spur
100% your fault. The Trenchers are not speed run tires at all,wasn't the tires fault. You would've been better off with the Badlands but even then they aren't speed run tires but at least they are belted lol either way good shit,sucks but good shit😅
I have low profile street tires on mine . I don't understand Why these guys think they can use offroad tires for high speed runs . It doesn't work that way .

I think it's almost universal with RC guys, I believe often times the instant laugh after a crash is a sort of defense mechanism in order to minimize the pain. I noticed myself laughing, then being angry, borderline tantrum. Just speaking for myself 😎

get proper foam tire for speed runs. The stock tires are for bashing/offroad.
Nice first run, the second run wasn't half bad either, time for a new RC, the back tires look like they are ok. The rest not so much
