Dabo gave his all at my club Coventry City, was with us in the depths of L1 & even played a part in promotion the season he joined. Speak for most of our fan base when I say Sky Blues still (despite the penalty at Wembley) love Dabo and he's always welcome at the Ricoh!
Or the CBS , but agree 100 % he was a brilliant player for us and he got told the day before the final that he was getting released by Coventry , yet still gave he’s all for us and had the balls to step up and take a penalty, would shake he’s hand any day , hopefully deeney will be sacked soon

It goes both ways, praise players when they do well, and hammer your players in the dressing room if they need/warrant it, but protect your players outside of that room! AND KEEP EVERYTHING THAT IS SAID IN THE DRESSING ROOM, IN THAT ROOM!! Unless it’s praise, you keep it where it needs to be, and that’s personal!

Yeah, the job is to help the players to improve when they are down, not to kick them while they are down. It’s why Roy Keane failed as a manager, because all he did was kick the players while they were down. It’s also why Mourinho hasn’t been doing as well as he used to since his last season with Chelsea in 2015. The only time you actually lay down the law and actually start grilling the players, is when the behaviour issues are not right with the players, like being lazy, being late to training, focusing on their image rather than football etc etc.

I've seen tough-talking blokes like Deeney step up into management roles and lose their head as soon as things go wrong. It's one thing to be a good pro and control your own work. It's totally different to manage others and get the best out of them. Based on this evidence, Deeney isn't cut out for it.
