Yep, makes about as much sense as a public information film. Go out, but stay indoors. Eat out to help out, but don’t leave your house. Go to work, but don’t travel there.
I think the thing that pissed me off was that the mixed signals were clearly because they wanted to give different instructions to different classes of workers, but they couldn’t say it outright.

Although I might be wrong, but you are in my mind very wrong and personally I see these delightful duo as akin to a “Flanders and Swan” comedy act and unlike you I love these 2 girls and look forward to any new work that they do. You have missed a valid point and that is that history has a way of repeating itself as do these two. I’ll agree on one point and yes they do have elements of the wonderful comedy that was spawned (and I have to contradict you here) in the late 1950’s with the Goon Show initiated on the radio first by what was the “home service” and later to be incarcerated as BBC R4. Then the Goon Show became the telly goons which later gave rise to the delightful comedy of the another anarchic comedy being Monty Python. So, I hope that I’ve clarified something, anything -please please I beg of you to understand me I beseech you oh dreary master of insults and muck-spreading. Have a heart oh worthy one, and if not then find a pail of water, then pop that mind that never stops to astonish everyone with your heart felt candour and take a deep long breath. But don’t worry as in old English law if you don’t succumb to the obvious then you are quite not guilty of even thinking such dark and inhospitable thoughts.
