Honestly i rode one of them things before and its amazing how much more low end power these new bikes have compared to the older two strokes.. still nothing like a kdx220 or my ktm 200exc tho. Tons of low end torque!
I would take the same view as learning to drive with a manual car. The learning curve is steep but it's a beautiful and rewarding view from the top. ❤️🙌

What you need to ride offroad is bent elbows and knees such that you can have your seat off the bike and your muscles and joints become like another layer of suspension travel to help make up for the harsh offroad environment. That's how the most capable fastest riders do it.

Dude, why would you put her on that POS "track"? A nice smoothish field would have been a much better choice for a beginner. That having been said she did pretty damn good considering the rough conditions!
She can ride on normal roads since shes ridden a ruckus on road before . U guys are missing the point that this bike is mainly for her to go offroad with him while still having road legal capabilitites after modifications
don't beat yourself up so much. that was VERY well done for being so inexperienced. and dry ground would have made it easier to ride...but wet ground is so much more fun. you will get this...it takes practice, just like anything else. But the rewards...will be amazing when you can ride with hubby!!! JUST HAVE FUN!!!

I installed a flywheel weight to my wife's kx100 helps alot with the low end and just smooths out the power delivery. Highly recommend it! Great video! 👍
Great job Jen! My first time on a dirt bike was a 1993 YZ250. It can be scary at first, but you'll become more comfortable with it. Glad to see you took your first fall and got right back on it.

Your timing for posting video is perfect. First thing i get up in saturday morning and i see notification for your vlog. Btw she did great. I feel she needs to hold handle bar more tightly. Most women keep loose grip on handle bars while learning to ride bike initially. Same with steering wheel grip on a car.
You two make a great team, fun , funny and entertaining. I love hitting the power band on a two stroke but at slow speed it can take a little more clutch and gas finesse.

Thank you both for this vid. My 12 yo boy has a 16' klx 140 & seems to have out grown it in less than a year. I have been apprehensive about moving to a 2 stroke. This makes me bit more comfortable. Go camera girl!
Zane Zinn lol you must not have much experience with the 2 strokers and their ability to foul plugs from operating at low revs. Regardless of carb settings or jets installed.
That might be the worst riding conditions ever for a beginner on a dirtbike LOL, super deep And wet muddy ruts , an uphill area and barbed wire fencing! Geese Louise take her to some flat dirt area more suitable for a beginner. Barbwire is definitely not a good idea, I know a girl who ran into Barb wire who has a very severe permanent leg scar now, best to avoid an area like that I think. She did great though all things considered!
I know it’s a dirt bike but I taught Some one in a large parking lot and they were very thankful and it helped their confidence so much- regardless good job and effort keep posting the videos- so much fun to watch- thank you-!
Someone tell her it’s a dirt bike, maintaining 100% traction is not necessary. Sliding around in ruts and bouncing over stuff is half the fun of being off road. Besides, you only fall over when you’re going too slow.

@@johnpossum556 she would've done better on a klx150g but even then its hard to find a bike for a lightweight, short,beginner rider.the bike is a fantastic bike if she knew how to ride it or at least someone a bit heavier than herself.Im one to talk though I went from a TTR90 that I rode since I was 5 to a WR250 which I could bearly touch the ground on but once I was able to ride that good then I moved myself to mx on a KX250 for competition.
I love her spirit and she almost did a little wheelie her first day, but without knowing it. She was a tiger and she didn't let fear over ride her ability to just get out there and she even had some fun, loved that smile. She's hooked already~!~ More fun to come~!~ Love watching you guys.❤️

Keep at it, it’ll get easier, and easier! We all landed on the ground over, and over starting out. When you get to the point where riding becomes second nature without thinking it’s so worth it, and fun.
That was amazing. Awesome job, Jen!! I think you'll find that the problem is not so much with the bike -- it was that mud track. Do some practicing on dry grass or dirt, and you'll get the feel for how it handles. Then you'll be more prepared for the mud. When you learn to drive a car, you don't start out on icy roads. Hang in there.

Jen, you did awesome. The last shot of your bike, the tyres were totally clogged. Slick as an eel. My G/F's first time on a bike was very similar, she persevered and has nailed it. Full licence now and difficult to keep up with. I bet you both had new conversations later on. More videos like this please.

its a lot of bike for some one so small with so little bodyweight to try to muscle around.

yeah I learnt on some trails and a small pit track when I was 5 also rode a TTR90 and that thing shredded for its size xD
