Useful video as I'm just about to adjust the windows on my E30 before a new soft top is fitted as the windows aren't currently parallel. I'm sure you figured out later but the bottom bolt you screwed in and out on the rear window adjusts the tilt of the window in and out. There are also bolts on the front window to allow forward and backwards movement if it's too tight up against the back window

I have the same problem on my 88 325ic as well, but only the driverside window clips the rear window trim. Would following the same adjustment levels you have on the 89 work for my vert?
I always have this problem! ugh!!!!
yeah it really sucks, and we have realized that it needs to be redone every once in a while... but we might also need to change the bolts or something... or some tread lock...
So no actual logic presented in the video. Just trial and error and a lot of dicking around.
Hi Daniel, isn’t that what life is all about? I mean, just about anyone can follow a manual, but we want to actually understanding how it works and get it fixed. There is logic to it, the geometry of how the bolts adjustments depends on which one you move around.
