Just love to watch you. You guide perfect like a good mentor. You are gem for indian audiophile music lovers. Was planning to think of sony-1000 x4 but its too costly now 😀.
Awesome review!!! This is what I've been looking for. I wanna use those in industrial environment to block the noise, but still focus on people voices. Technics seems to do excellent in that area.
They sound great!! Thanks for a great video on these.. I used to have their HiFi in the past.. Great sound to.. so they should know sound in any format hey.. cool..
9:40 The only channel that actually incorporates the practicality of a wind test in our purchase decision. Other reviewers just pretend this is an insignificant factor...as if everyone uses their earbuds indoors! With my active outdoor lifestyle, if my earbuds don't perform well in windy conditions, I ain't buying it...period.
Thank you guys…your reviews are so thorough and genuinely helpful. I had just ordered yesterday and glad to see that your real world tests are squaring up with my theoretical assessment of their capabilities on paper. I've already tried and returned the Liberty 3 Pro (due to multi-device issues), the Jabra Elite 7 Pro (connectivity drops with my MacBook), and the Galaxy Buds Pro (very poor fit for my ear and useless ANC). Here's hoping the Technics AZ60 will be able to hold up well!

I have the sennheiser momentum tw2, cx,cx plus, jabra 75t,soundcore liberty pro 2 +, lp3, and technics az60. Other than not having wireless charging capabilities, the az60 are my go to buds....the sound, the feel, and looks!
I've had these for a while and this review is pretty accurate. Wireless charging would have been nice, but it isn't a big deal since I have USB-C charging wherever I'm at. The lack of in-ear sensors isn't a big deal for me either. One thing I didn't initially realize is that multipoint pairing does not work if you select LDAC. The touch controls work better on these than on other earbuds that I've tried.
Amazing quality of review! Definitely eyeing up the Technics. I'd be keen to see you test Technics' new EAH-A800 against other premium wireless headphones. Someone told me they destroy the likes of the top Sony and Bose but would be keen to see how they come out in your testing. No reviews of them out there at the moment. Keep up the great work!
Really solid and detail comments on the Az60, if you have time maybe try to listen what Az70's performance. I would said, despite of the 5.2 and LDAC Lossless, Az70 did have good performance in low band bass and very good quality in vocal. I would said it got to be a monitor level of the sound performance. Actually, i can't wait for the Sony Killer - Technics A800....
This video popped up just as I was about to put the Technics in my ears! They sound great and more importantly for me, really comfortably. Which the XM4 were not comfortable for me.
Brilliant work. I have the previous Technics model, the AZ70, and they are one of my best earbuds. I will definitely buy these ones but not now. I prefer not to pay above 150 € for them, so I will wait for some months. Thanks for the great and amazing work you do. Regards from Spain.
If voice calls are not a priority, then the AZ70 are great. I have both and find the AZ70w has a way more balanced soundstage especially in bass boost mode, with the ANC ON.
You have to put the ANC and the off (passive) side by side! Dont put ambient sound between them, we have to compare how good is the active NC to passive noise isolation.
Great review! The AZ60 have become my favorite earbuds. They have the best overall performance for sound (clarity, soundstage), fit and comfort, ANC, touch controls, exceptional call quality, and app functionality of all the buds I've tried. Others always have major issues with one or another aspect of my desired features. My go-to mode is ANC and LDAC, and while the battery life is then really low at 4 hrs and less, it's about all I need. So, not that big a deal. More would always be nice. The last firmware update added LDAC to Multi-point. Kudos to Technics! I fear that Technics will not get the market recognition it deserves. Sony gets way more than it deserves!
Great review!!! Which wireless earbuds would you recommend for working out that has a lot bass and that are small? I am currently using the Earfun Free Pro 2 and I really enjoy the size and the fit....but I need a little more bass
I got the AZ60 this week and I’m really impressed so far. Good fit, a lot of customisation options with the app, very very nice sound quality (clear and powerful). Only features missing are wireless charging and the automatic in ear sensor - no groundbreaking issues.
@@Crazy09starkillor Don’t get them. They are fucking trash. 3 months in and the left ear stopped working. I search online and a ton of people had the same problem… These things were NOT cheap at all

Brill review 👍 👌 👏 😀 Sent back the Sony XM4's, as I personally found them to be so poor in many area's 😢 Giving the Technics a go and your vid really helped make that decision, so thank you👍😃. Even better is the fact that the Technics are currently reduced at Amazon UK. On a crazier note, I've also gone for the Kef MU3's as a back up pair of bud's amd hoping that they also prove to be great!!
@@Enemji I don't think *Ian* specifically said he would get them had they been of lower-quality. Just a lower price. But I understand how his use of the term _"budget buds"_ has a connotation that would lead one to reasonably conclude he could have meant low-quality. 🤔
@@CaesiusX I understood Ian as saying that the sound quality, ANC & Voice call quality are not enough to pay this premium price and he would need more features. For me, these three features are so well done that I have purchase 3 pairs of them so that I can use them all day & night full time in my work and personal life.
Excellent video! 👍.. Check: Do you know if this AZ40 model has independent signaling? I mean, if they can be used one at the same time independently of the other or do they have to be used both?
I bought these a few days back and to be honest the Sound quality, ANC, Mics, Comfort, Looks and app are all fantastic. Coming from Samsung Buds Live (beans). Got it at a discount of $100. worth it.
I'm contemplating ordering these to replace my aging Airpods Pro and buggy Jabra Elite 7 Pro's but there is one thing I'm wondering about; how is the ANC in windy conditions when listening to music or podcasts? Some reviews on Amazon have mentioned them not being much affected by wind with ANC active like a lot of other buds so I'm curious if you've had a similar experience.
Hi guys! First of all, excellent content! I’m always stay put waiting for your new reviews, some of the most reliable in my opinion. I have a important question about the az60: If you use only one bud, can you still activate ambient sound in that bud? In case of the AirPods Pro it’s possible and that function is very important for me. The beats fit pro accept this function as well? I would really appreciate your answer guys! Greetings from Berlin of a Mexican fan of yours!

12:02 Just one issue - on the left it says "Transferring the latest headphones software" - so of course I wonder how (if at all) the XM4 would behave with that later software/firmware.
Can I ask you what do you feel is better option between Jabra (Elite 7, 75t, 85t), LG Free Tone FP9 or this Technics? I've seen your videos but I still don't know what would be the better option just for comfort (I use them for many hours) and heavy bass + movies/series. Thank you for your videos, I think that you deserve much more views and subs !
I have mostly 4-6% less battery left on the left earbud. Is this something to worry about? They don’t have to be exactly the same but 6% seems a bit too much. What is your experience?
Thanks for the well done review as always, I was wondering if you could comment on the build quality of the case. The hinge on my AZ60s feels very flimsy and is easy to move when closed. I am worried about the longevity of the case.
Have you guys tried using foam eartips on Airpod Pros (like Comply Comfobuds for example)? I think it could be quite interesting to make an ANC comparison both with and without foam eartips on the Airpod Pros, against the Sony XM4's and Bose QC's. It always seems to me that the only reason the Sony performs better is because of the foam eartips, and I'm curious if foam eartips on Airpod Pros would make the ANC on par or even better than the Sonys or Bose.
I think the Huawei Freebuds Pros nail multi device connectivity best. (I've sent them back because of comfort in favor of the Nothing Ear(1) ). Is multi connectivity is firmware thing only or there are hardware requirements, too?
I bought both and for me the Sonys were the clear winner by a long way, you just can’t beat that dynamic soundstage on the Sonys, almost night and day when comparing both for sound.
The only thing about the az60 that I don't like is how technics refuses to give us a good charging case. No battery life reported to the app or phone and no wireless charging.
i had to return the Soundcore Lib 3 Pros. I could not get over the case and slippery touch controls. I will try these out next. No wireless charging is a bummer. I am still using my Sony XM4s as my daily driver.
Is it just mine or do these just absolutely refuse to reconnect after returning inside range after wandering out? I also have the Panasonic RZ-S500W and they behave the same way. Thanks!
Do you think I could expect a similar performance on calls from the Technics AZ40 ? It has 6 mics instead of 8, but uses the same "JustMyVoice" technology...
it has just been released sennheiser mementum true 3 again does not support multiple and I love the az60 design, but as I said, my brother, I want to choose a product that I will not have some regrets, I have features such as design sound, multi-device support
Guys- The ultimate soundtrack to test the amazing soundstage is listening to a lossless “Hotel California (Live on MTV, 1994)” via LDAC. I am feeling like I am part of the audience.
Did you notice a sputtering static with ANC on in a quiet room with no audio playing? i even notice it with quiet music. Just got the AZ60 and this issue is concerning.
hi, can someone tell me if you put the Sony WF-1000XM4 at the highest "clear bass" in the Sony app, does the Technics az60 still beat it with its bass?
Just saw that the Beats Fit Pro are available for preorder everywhere. I know they’ve been out for a while in the US so I don’t know if you all will look at them but I hope you do! I’d love to hear your alls thoughts. They are the ones for me after trying many different brands.
The AZ-60 is very sweet sounding and very comfortable. When adjusted properly the L3 Pro is quite good. Great with jazz and blues for me. The AZ-60 is more elegant, and intimate sounding. The Sony XM4 is great sounding, but the fit is sometimes not the best. Interested in hearing your comparisons tomorrow! Love your reviews.
I just can't keep the right L3 pro earbud in my ear, but it happens with the jabra elite 7 active as well so the problem is my ear. I dont know how to fix that.
@@AlGggeee Along with the recommendations of different wing sizes and earbud tips already suggested (and assuming you haven't already done this), I would also consider a different material for your earbud tip. Perhaps a memory foam tip would help secure the earbud. I'd like to know if you ever resolve this. Best of luck!
Please I need your help. From spain today: oppo enco x2 today 99€ vs techics EAH AZ60 129€. I find good ANC and sound. If the price was irrelevant. What are your preference? oppo enco x2 or technics az60? Please Help Me!!!
Just received the L3Pro a couple of days ago and although they sound great, while using ANC they do have a constant white noice. Did you have the same experience with the AZ60 as well, or do they have a more “silent” ANC as the L3 Pro?

Any Idea how they compare agains the Technics EAH AZ70?
Thanks Joel. It's a bit late honestly, but we'll see what we can do!
@@AlGggeee Wish I could help, but I don't have a suggestion. Wish you the best.
Use a smaller tip?
@@DHRME tried all 4 tips with all 3 ear wings, but Maybe I rushed it back then. I'll try again. Thank you guys.
Best of luck!
are you able to disable the touch controls on the AZ 60s?
Please I need your help. From spain today: oppo enco x2 today 99€ vs techics EAH AZ60 129€. I find good ANC and sound. If the price was irrelevant. What are your preference? oppo enco x2 or technics az60? Please Help Me!!!
which earbuds are good for metal and rock
Just received the L3Pro a couple of days ago and although they sound great, while using ANC they do have a constant white noice. Did you have the same experience with the AZ60 as well, or do they have a more “silent” ANC as the L3 Pro?
I've both, less white noise on the az60 for sure
