it is clearly a cost saving LCI. No more laser lights, headlights missing the design complexity of the current G20 (e46 style knick), no more physical buttons for the climatization area, no more physical touch sensitive shortcut buttons and so on. I prefer the current G20 line.
Yeah because they were lasers they had a tough time with the lights. Personally I haven't seen any major advantage over lasers compared to matrix LED headlights.
No gear lever, no function buttons, no physical climate controls... I'm so sad. With this new gear selector switch, the paddle shifters are a must have. The big screens don't fit so well IMO. They could've tried to fit it directly to the dash and shape the edges somehow. If the BMW sign is removed, the interior could be of any car, VW for example.
I agree that the loss of the traditional gear shifter is a backward move. At least it hasn't been moved to the steering column. The big screens hide the attractive dash lines that the G20 has but I guess it was inevitable that BMW move to the larger screens but I'm still not convinced.
This is a combination of the new BMW interior design philosophy and the old one, so yeah it’s kinda in between. But check out the iX and i7. While very different than what we were used to, you cannot mistake those for some other brand. Not if you have an eye for design at least. But even if you didn’t, the i7 interior is praised for being the best in its class so hard to mistake that for sth else.
When I saw the exterior, I was happy because it looks great on every angle/side. But the interior, so underwhelming. That screen works so well on the other BMWs but here it just doesnt fit well with the design language of the cabin. The gear shifter, I'm in tears. This is a 3 series.
The design is spot on at front. On the rear the diffuser / black plastic part is bit too prominent, but I might change my mind when I see the car in real life. Pre-LCI interior with iDrive 7 and real A/C controls was slightly better in my opinion.
BMW body styling is very much the same over the years with minor tweaks. Mercedes on the other hand is continuously innovating and making major changes to body style and design of the car in all classes in general. Mercedes ahead in game comparing to competitor. Mercedes all the way
Agree. I prefer my current G20 anyday, so in that respect we are lucky. I don’t like the new headlights, or the screen which looks too big and just “stuck on” either.
It’s funny how with the 3-series and 5-series alike, the basic roofline and side profile above the door sills has remained largely unchanged for 20 years or so. If you cover up the side of the car, only revealing the windows and roof, you can’t tell if the car is new, or 15 years old.
Very true German's are not big on changing the look of their vehicles just look at Audi. Actually that is true with most vehicles especially SUVs and trucks
@@royfontaine5526 E92 is like wine, the older it gets the better it becomes. The E90 on the other hand was from the get-go an absolute abomination, no wonder Top Gear considered it the ugliest car of the year in 2005.
@@cryptolord9826 I don't fully agree, I got full options, that you can't even get today due to chip shortage and I really already liked the design + iDrive 7 & considering the current car market I don't think I'll have any trouble moving it on in the future for something different. 😊😊Everyone has their own tastes though! :D
When I saw the exterior design I was literally thrilled, it looks way better than the original G20, however the interior just switched me off. That’s not any close to a car that is known through out of its generations as sports car. The dashboard is soo boring, the shift boring, I felt that I need to be 70 years guy to by this thing. Bmw’s always has that interior persona, this one not even close to. As a matter of it looks like a Mercedes. Hate it
Screens on the dashboard looks ugly. I wish they would not remove the shifter. Physical buttons are always better when driving so sad that they are gone. As a G20 owner, I don't consider upgrading. I think Audi is the only remaining company that designs dashboard like it is used to be.
People always complain about Bmw designs no matter what because it’s one of the most popular brands, when the interior has physical buttons and was driver oriented people complained about it being outdated, now people complain about it being too plain without the buttons
I'm taking delivery on a 330e M-Sport in a week. Very happy that I didn't wait for this update. The new screens looks awful and I hate the trend of removing physical buttons for climate control etc. The new lights looks quite good but so does the current laser lights which I got. Overall I think this was a downgrade in every way.
Good for you, but I can't remember any previous BMWs that were downgraded by LCI in my BMW owning history, other than some subjective preferences on styling elements. BMW traditionally makes a lot of meaningful and yet invisible changes for LCI, which makes a vast amount of improvements in driving experience. I would definitely choose a post-LCI model any day of the week over the original one.
I’m obviously not the target market for this vehicle considering that I am 20 years old and a student but the interior was better on the pre-facelift considering that, for me at least, the infotainment was better. The wide screen with no hood on top of the driver side screen with the separated infotainment screen was better.
I agree. The claw headlights look less boxy, and the interior screen looks too big and out of place. Not to mention no gear shifter… wtf!!! I like using the shifter!
I'm huge BMW Fan, i have 4 models E46 / E92 / F12 and F15, but this new design language is not my cup of tee. Huge Grills, side line, triangle bumper design, 1m interior cluster... BMW need back to the root. For me only few models have bmw feeling for example: G30 5 / G05 X5 but without rear lamps / G32 - 6 / G15 & G14 without rear lamps.
I have a 2020 330i and 2021 A4. I always thought BMW had the best electronic shifter. It was the most intuitive out of all the German brands. I am disappointed to see it go.
I like the new look, only negative is that rear bumper is a bit too overdesigned. I wish they kept climate controls with physical buttons, pre-facelift central console was much better, these double screens look stupid.
@@Tomoyo0827 agreed. I have an F10 5er probably just gonna get an F10 M5 because the interior is just so good. The screen in the dash, everything looks solid and feels that way. It all looks like it belongs. All this new crap looks cheap
As for not liking touchscreens in an entire, man you're going to have a hard time enjoying cars from now on because that's what every company is doing now
I’m defo team black frames around the doors, which in the UK 🇬🇧 we don’t always get the option for like on the Mercedes GLC at the moment there is no option for black frames!
Matrix LED is in my opinion not on PAR with Laser Lights. I had my 330e in for service and got a 4-series with Matrix LED and the high beem was noticable worse than my car with laser lights.
It might be important in the US, but in Europe? I do twice a year 2000km trips crossing 3 EU countries, night and day conditions. I recall using highbeam in no more than 3 occasions in each trip (and Very shortly). Roads are constantly full over here...
Had a fully spec’d out 2021 330e that had the laser lights… They were insane! So so good! But such an expensive option, and for the most part did well at moving the beam around to not dazzle. But the distance you could see at night was just crazy I remember. Shame they’re gone!
Preferred when the two kidneys didn’t join and there was body colour between them but so much better than any other recent BMW design - Also the less fussy wing mirrors!
That dashboard screen just doesent suit the design context, too angular. BMW should take a look at the Golf 8's screen implementation, it looks a lot better.
That interior is a step back in every facet from the 4 series they just released. No quick buttons, no physical AC controls, no gear select...oof. It's very obvious BMW is having to cut corners due to shortages or costs.
That is a matter of taste but not a step back. The huge curved display is a great selling point! I likei it much better than the quite outdated 2-parted design.
@@Mentis-de This is still visibly two separate screens, my friend. Placing a single piece of glass over both doesn't make it not so, it just makes the design look poorly integrated. Even Mercedes's "hyperscreen" is really just 3 normal, square LCDs under a single pane of glass. The only companies doing large-format, tailored displays are Lucid and...Cadillac. And the shifter isn't a matter of taste, it's a full step back in functionality because it cannot be used to shift the car and it's objectively more difficult to use as it sits flush with the console. And the lack of persistent quick buttons is another full loss of functionality.
@@sfiso9854 no they wouldn't, because outside and the rest of the cabin is the same as before. Even the steering wheel doesn't progress to haptic controls. This is a poorly timed and misplaced change.
Basically they said it before. They said that for higher end products like 7 series they prefer radical designs as they have less customers due to their price tags and for more popular and affordable series like 5 and 3 series they stick to more conervstive designing
I am BMW owner for 13 years now and i love it ( E90 330i -> G20 330i ) On 18th of May i decided to buy M240i 2 days ago my dealer said that i can only spec M240i with new interior like in G20 LCI. I am sorry BMW....Porsche will be probably my next choice.
The infotainent and climate controls are a huge downgrade in this car. I would be saying that from functionality and hassle free operation and also the look, the 20 year old BMWs' had better experience. And why do you offer all these heads up display designs but no rev meter?! I really like the analg gauges that F30 offers and minimalistic HUD, but rev meter is the only thing I am missing from HUD. When down shifting it is annoying to look at dials, if you have the HUD. Dials are pretty and HUD is functional. This is a perfect combination of design and functionality. Comparing to 2023 design with glueing up a huge wide screen without lightshade to the dash :/ I am also confused about the front grill. Some have the controversial grill and some the classic one with a little modification. While I appreciate they have not gone nuts with the design, the controversial grill of M3 looks nice with the chasey and headlamps. Especially if we compare it to the very ugly grill of iX and iXM. I hope that this is not the direction BMW is going to.
There is a graphical rev counter available in the HUD options. It doesn't show numbers, but it shows you where the red-line is. This is a separate display in the HUD from the shift indicator animation that is persistent vice only showing as you approach red-line
I don't know what they are trying to accomplish with all this tech. Who is gonna buy this car, kid or grown man? Okay, there must be development and inovation but some things like climate controls inside screen is really dumb. Also gear selector like in VW grupation common.... After few years of owning Mercedes c klass in family i really dont like the look of the screens that BMW put now.Looks like cheap tablet to me
@@focusunivega8380 This might be a bit pessimistic, but maybe they're moving everything to the screen to enable easier monetization the of the car post sale.
People prefer premium brands for various prominent features. Design is one of them. Seems like bmw is dismissing it. This is a huge step backward sadly.
I disagree with you. BMW has never been in this awful design position. I would say that this is a huge, awful step sideways. Just look at the new 7 series. It looks like a Hyundai. Ridiculous.
To be honest, it’s an amazing looking car and brought my attention back at bmw (it shifted to Audi this past year for some unknown reason). The only thing that I feel lets me down is how the ic+mgu combo is just planted there on top (I dislike this on Audis as well). Funny since I actually worked on this edition of the mgu, but always thought they’d somehow integrate the big display… so long for that I guess.
Haha, 3 weeks later, comes the verdict. Out of the bunch I wanted to go on with ordering this new 3-series. Unfortunately, despite me liking the looks of the car, the bumped up pricing scheme, lack of discount plans currently as well as the offered financial services being solely aimed at companies rather than individuals have lead me to ordering a loaded Audi A4 instead. Sorry BMW, you were just completely uncompetitive in this market :( maybe next time!
Hey Thomas, thanks for bringing it on time as always! I strongly believe the previous design was much appealing as I think the new daytime running lights and interior screen are not really fitting the car. So again a back step from BMW in terms of design.
For me also chrome or satin silver surroundings. Black makes it look cheaper and more 'plastic' imo. But on the other side, it's nice to let everyone choose what they like best. But BMW can also improve on that. Now some options or wheels are only available when you choose a certain line or M package. It should be nice if they would give 100% free configuration choice. Not a fan of the looks of the new infotainment system either. It's nice to have a bigger screen, but this now looks like a stretched tablet with a stupid support leg behind it. And the speedometer graphics look like you're driving a DS instead of a BMW. Liked the pre-facelift gear lever also more than the button. Progression isn't always an improvement.
I love my 2021 with the adaptive and the track and handling package .Not crazy about the bigger screen and the tiny thimble shifter . I think I am going keep my fully loaded 2021 330i ,Black Sapphire Metallic and I love the black shadow line package .But not all black wheels .I have these wheels with the M brakes. This is the reason I did not drive BMW from 2012 till now .I hated the direction it went until 2019. I like clean lines and not all that black plastic in the front and back.Less is always best .I'll wait for the complete redesign in 2026.
interesting Review, 'Thank-you'. Noted, laser lights being dropped (Is this just 3 series, or across all BMW series?) and couldn't agree more with the reasons you stated BMW have decided upon.Though truth be known, possibly to do with microchips and parts! Do NOT like the loss of touch buttons for climate and other basic functions with I-drive 8. Great to see a new series range from BMW, but BMW's main issue remains..... DELIVERY OF NEW ORDERED CARS.... - Ordered & Deposit paid on 30th April 2021 - Car entered production and completed in Feb 2022, but missing RAM component - Car delivered to Bemerhaven, Germany waiting RAM fitted - BMW UK informed me this wknd, they will NOT give timeline of delivery. Expect delivery upto end 2022 into 2023 - Currently 13 months wait, now expecting 18+ months - Car ordered is BMW X3 M40I (LCI 2022) - I live in UK Until they honour customers orders who have paid a deposit and now been waiting over 1 year, release of new models does not help feelings or views held by customers, after months of Dealership lies and misinformation from BMW UK and BMW IAG, that is noticeable after you have ordered and paid a deposit. If in UK, be AWARE of ordering a new BMW with the information from BMW Dealership and then BMW UK and BMW IAG, regarding delivery timelines (while price continues to increase, even though ordered and deposit paid). Especially while watching new model release after model release, press car after press car, while its soon to be ex-loyal customers, are constantly miss-informed and continue to wait (BMW IAG, BMW UK and the BMW Dealership has now given me 8 different delivery dates for collection - all passed and still no sign of a car!) If i hear another excuse to do with microchips, economics, war, pandemic, I will go crazy. It does not stop them producing hundreds of press cars and new model ranges while customers wait 12+ months and adding daily, weekly, monthly to this timeline, while not admitting the reality and truth. BMW priorities are ALL about profit and looking good with product range for future sales and NOTHING about the current customer or looking after the long-term customers they have (did have). Audi are doing far better in UK and in-process of getting a new Audi delivered next 2 weeks. Will then cancel BMW order, as I'm to the end of my patience of being lectured with excuses, priorities, misinformation along with price increases while waiting and deposit paid. UK BMW BUYERS - BE AWARE!
There is no logic to their name associations. Otherwise, all those track based colors imply they're weather related too? Also, the kink has been a design motif throughout the G20 inside and out (eg central air vent unit).
I love how he’s talking about the features of a car but narrates like its a golf game. There’s no need for hype since the car will definitely deliver a great experience. But i wonder if the 330i m sport comes in a diesel variant.
I was like wow, they didn't screw anything up design-wise and actually made the headlights look even better than pre-LCI... then I saw the interior with the iDrive and gauge cluster. Just two iPads glued together and tacked onto the dash without physical climate control. The interior looks way too plain and simple for 40k. I'd expect more physical control with knobs/buttons with the car. Pure laziness and not what I want when starting base price is $40k USD. I mean I'm really happy they didn't do anything with the grille or bumper, so it could be worse. BMW recently seems to always have this mantra of two steps forward one step backward. "Hey we made the headlights look cooler, didn't increase the grille size, and improved engine performance but we removed all physical controls" Audi has stayed true and actually built the dash around the virtual cockpit digital gauge cluster and has always been the leader in lighting technology. They're the only German brand still building the dashboard around the digital screens and not just tacking the screens on the dash. They may be removing physical climate controls in their higher-end models which I'm not happy about, but it's not like I'm spending $55k USD to have no physical buttons and a screen glued onto my dash. Love my 4 rings.
I'm not a big fan with this screen design but from what I understand the design is to make it look like a projector is coming in the dash like in those sci-fi movies and that since it is a touch screen it makes look more futuristic
Ummm...I sold my S7 because the its all screen with no dial and it was hard to use. But I have to agree about the double screen.....all aside, its just outdated, Merc played this game 7 years ago, and has moved on, WHY BMW feel that's the way to go in 2023??? Just WHYY??
this whole ipad screen trend is a very cost effective way for manufacturers to sell you something "new" meanwhile they're laughing at you because they can get away with sticking cheap tablets inside luxury cars and sell it to you for a premium
The M4 CSL is still using iDrive 7. The 4-series in general isn't getting this LCI until 2024, so if you want one that still has a nicely designed interior and proper controls you better get it now.
Thomas, Awesome short review - great job! :-) I like it. You are the best car presenter on RUclips. New 3-series outside looks clean and modern - I think it's good move forwards. I hope people who buy this car would be happy. Greetings!
Hey Thomas, do you know what the future holds for the 5-Series? Will we see a V8 in the new one or will we see them do a Mercedes and give us four cylinders?
iDrive 8 SUCKS!!!!!!! No more favorite / shortcut buttons = no sale. I get it's a simplification and cost cutting measure on their end. But if I'm paying $70+K for a car, they can afford to put some FREAKING BUTTONS in there -- sorry. I'm not navigating through a UI menu structure every time I want to adjust my bass and treble, or the cabin temp. Furthermore, that's not even safe. People need to be watching THE ROAD -- not the screen. They just removed one of their greatest competitive advantages. I might as well broaden my search quite a bit if they are going to get on the buttonless bandwagon fashion trend.
@@mattyoz0 it doesn't matter what he's doing, if he wants to diddle the bass on every song that's his thing. The fact remains that they removed one of the best features from the previous model. Being able to map a shortcut for basically everything to a physical button is great.

@@mattyoz0 1 in a million? Based on what data are you claiming this? How about don't pretend like you're in a majority when you've literally got no evidence to support your claim. Just about every BMW owner I know uses those buttons for radio stations (most frequently) or various other screens they use which are buried in the menu, like ambient lighting, sports displays or Bluetooth settings for when they wanna quickly swap phone connections with their partners. If you don't give a shit about them then good for you mate. But don't pretend that everyone else thinks like you when you genuinely don't have a clue how many people use these features. I like to think you can manage to enjoy your M340i without throwing in bigotry.
The exterior is so beautiful. I am impressed with the 3 series. However, I have to agree with everyone else that screen is ugly. No shape at all. Plus the nice thing BMW had was the climate control it looked classy. Now it is just plain with a big rectangular screen at least the end should have been more shape like the previous generation. It looks more like an i4 than a BMW 3 series in the interior.
Why are car companies replacing interiors with touch screens. Us car people want buttons and knobs. Keep it analog please. Outside looks stunning though and I love how you can get the car in Brooklyn grey now.
Literally just took ownership of my new 3 series with system 7, I don't like these ridiculous computer screens and lack of buttons for aircon. I don't want to be jabbing a screen all the time with system 8. Seems all the car manufacturers are going that way though ppft
there is plenty of space on the bottom of the screen where the climate controls are. it would be great if they could provide settings to customise that area and add shortcut buttons there. you could add turn on heating seating shortcut, ac shortcut, fan shortcut. a simple software update would allow for that
Ok, so they managed not to f* this one up on exterior, but why they removed the gear knob and fitted that Mercedes square idrive? It takes all the sportiness from the interior....!
those ipads looking screens look really bad when they separately installed like tv screen, i would rather have them integrated into the dashboard like in Merc 221 model...
BMWs are now so technology-intensive, you really should always have two people in the car: The driver in the driver's seat, and in the front passenger seat a Systems Officer to run everything while the driver keeps hands on the steering wheel.
Never understood why manufacturers are going with the digital instrument controls. You could argue partially for it in small city cars where space is a premium. But in family hatchbacks and executive saloons there is no plenty of space for a smartly laid out and intuitive physical controls. At least BMW has kept some of the physical iDrive controls by the looks of it.
@King Neptune mario kart? 🤣 Funny thing is that few years back, when cars started to have touchscreens and other cars where still with buttons, some reviewers complained about the fact that physical buttons are so outdated . I think physical buttons for climate should still exist, imagine if the damn screen breaks, nothing will work

besides 10 hp less for m340i
I happen to love this refresh. That interior screen is a bummer though

Great that they addressed the front grill redesign, and did not impose that horrible over size 'cow pusher 'grill.

I'm huge BMW Fan, i have 4 models E46 / E92 / F12 and F15, but this new design language is not my cup of tee.
Huge Grills, side line, triangle bumper design, 1m interior cluster... BMW need back to the root.

I like the new look, only negative is that rear bumper is a bit too overdesigned. I wish they kept climate controls with physical buttons, pre-facelift central console was much better, these double screens look stupid.

That dashboard screen just doesent suit the design context, too angular. BMW should take a look at the Golf 8's screen implementation, it looks a lot better.
You mean Mercedes E class they’ve done the double screen the best.
The curved screen looks awesome
audi's the best. Audi screen is matured, clear and crisp
The pre-LCI 3 series was fine. They should've kept it. The Golf 8's screen looks horrible, as it's just a mass of gloss black plastic
Thomas and Autogefühl: N.1 as always!
The headlights are nice but the m sport bumper looks less aggressive than the pre LCI
@@Mentis-de it’s still a two part désign and no it’s not a matter of taste. Cheaper to do this all
@@Brian-jv8iy Yeah the single curved screen is optional as far as i know
@@Mentis-de This is still visibly two separate screens, my friend.
This is the kind of BMW I like to see. A classic really great looking sedan that keeps evolving by little touches where it needs to

I am BMW owner for 13 years now and i love it ( E90 330i -> G20 330i )
On 18th of May i decided to buy M240i
2 days ago my dealer said that i can only spec M240i with new interior like in G20 LCI.
Comparing to 2023 design with glueing up a huge wide screen without lightshade to the dash :/
I am also confused about the front grill.
I think the pre-facelift interior is much better. The new is a bit too much with the connected screens.

This is a huge step backward sadly.
I disagree with you. BMW has never been in this awful design position. I would say that this is a huge, awful step sideways. Just look at the new 7 series. It looks like a Hyundai. Ridiculous.
How is this one having adaptive cruise control (buttons and wheel)? I thought it is only available on M340i
00:06:30 Great track! Do you like Audien?
For sure!
"Unknown reason" 😂😂😂😂 bad one!
@@georgealex19 👍 A lot o reasons😂
Hey Thomas, thanks for bringing it on time as always! I strongly believe the previous design was much appealing as I think the new daytime running lights and interior screen are not really fitting the car. So again a back step from BMW in terms of design.
thanks for tuning in !
I have to sadly agree. I don't like this kind of interior and it looses BMWs character.
I like some of the interior updates but as a owner of a 2021 the pre facelift m sport is much more aggressive and bmw style.
I felt the same with the X3. I prefer my pre LCI

- Ordered & Deposit paid on 30th April 2021
- Car entered production and completed in Feb 2022, but missing RAM component
- Car delivered to Bemerhaven, Germany waiting RAM fitted
- BMW UK informed me this wknd, they will NOT give timeline of delivery. Expect delivery upto end 2022 into 2023
- Currently 13 months wait, now expecting 18+ months
- Car ordered is BMW X3 M40I (LCI 2022)
- I live in UK
Until they honour customers orders who have paid a deposit and now been waiting over 1 year, release of new models does not help feelings or views held by customers, after months of Dealership lies and misinformation from BMW UK and BMW IAG, that is noticeable after you have ordered and paid a deposit.
If in UK, be AWARE of ordering a new BMW with the information from BMW Dealership and then BMW UK and BMW IAG, regarding delivery timelines (while price continues to increase, even though ordered and deposit paid). Especially while watching new model release after model release, press car after press car, while its soon to be ex-loyal customers, are constantly miss-informed and continue to wait (BMW IAG, BMW UK and the BMW Dealership has now given me 8 different delivery dates for collection - all passed and still no sign of a car!)
If i hear another excuse to do with microchips, economics, war, pandemic, I will go crazy.

They put the Hofmeister kink in the headlights. That’s pretty cool. Additionally, I assume BROOKLYN GREY is named after the cities’ weather?
There is no logic to their name associations. Otherwise, all those track based colors imply they're weather related too? Also, the kink has been a design motif throughout the G20 inside and out (eg central air vent unit).

I like the preface lift one more.
why is everyone burying the screen? I think it looks awesome. 98% better than any other cars.
"Hey we made the headlights look cooler, didn't increase the grille size, and improved engine performance but we removed all physical controls"
Audi has stayed true and actually built the dash around the virtual cockpit digital gauge cluster and has always been the leader in lighting technology.
Have to agree with you. The big screen looks positively awful.
You guys will always find something to complain.

m4 will have iDrive8 introduced in late 2023 and the lever stays in M3/M4 for now. But M3 50th will have the iDrive8 so no physical AC buttons
The M4 CSL is still using iDrive 7. The 4-series in general isn't getting this LCI until 2024, so if you want one that still has a nicely designed interior and proper controls you better get it now.

iDrive 8 SUCKS!!!!!!!
I have the g20 330e and I usually like anything new. Is it only me who dislikes the one screen? I think I prefer the separate ones like I have now.

You have beat me to it. It was a nice surprise, I was afraid they would copy the 4 series extended grille.
wdym? The 3 series always had the normal grille

Literally just took ownership of my new 3 series with system 7, I don't like these ridiculous computer screens and lack of buttons for aircon. I don't want to be jabbing a screen all the time with system 8. Seems all the car manufacturers are going that way though ppft
They don't care if their customers crash due to the distracted driving they built into the car.
there is plenty of space on the bottom of the screen where the climate controls are. it would be great if they could provide settings to customise that area and add shortcut buttons there. you could add turn on heating seating shortcut, ac shortcut, fan shortcut. a simple software update would allow for that
Why bother when you're only two clicks away as is, or one voice command away, or one autonomous action from the iDrive?

BMWs are now so technology-intensive, you really should always have two people in the car: The driver in the driver's seat, and in the front passenger seat a Systems Officer to run everything while the driver keeps hands on the steering wheel.
Stunning design update overall, but I would have liked BMW to tweak the rear looks a little bit better.
Never understood why manufacturers are going with the digital instrument controls. You could argue partially for it in small city cars where space is a premium. But in family hatchbacks and executive saloons there is no plenty of space for a smartly laid out and intuitive physical controls.
