Love those gold chains, didn't know you could buy 24kt ones. Also love that big Peru piece. I'm saving up to buy my first 50 peso gold to add to my Saints. Great video.
Always love your collection and your explanation, I certainly learn a lot. Now that Wittman has found its way into new hands, I believe still trusted hands in the hobby, maybe the consideration to get that lovely and unique gold piece in the red book will be granted. Cheers good sir
Quite a nice selection. Wow what a great investment you made. Unfortunately we have only small gold coins. Some of our favorites are gold pandas. Thanks White.
Great question! I like 'em all, but I am partial to the Beaux-Art era pieces by Saint-Gaudens, and his contemporaries de Francisci (Peace dollar), Brenner (Lincoln cent), and MacNeil (standing liberty quarter). I made 2-part video series where I talk about these designers and the era in which they were designing. It's a little academic and dry, but I think it's pretty good: ruclips.net/p/PLebJigXP2OH_4UmDOMJHkvEO6aCAkGiTP
Brilliant! That 50 pesos has no match. Gorgeous. I'm not in the market now but it would be great to add one of these to the collection. Are there important grades and corresponding price levels to consider for this coin? One masterpiece vs. high premium stacking for volume? Do you recommend acquiring pre 33 raw vs. certified? I used to do eBay auctions but looking back probably took a bit more risk with sellers than I should have. Using Heritage Auctions, are you likely to find pieces with reasonably low premium to spot? I do agree that gold feels high. In the shorter term, I'm planning (not hoping) for recessionary pressures to cause deflation across the board. So I'm holding off in general. I by no means am an economist. I hope I'm just being generally too cautious 😊. Thank you so much. Your depth and breadth of knowledge is impressive.
That's a lot of questions! The 50 peso is a strange series. Technically the "key" to the series is the 1943. It's a one year type, some actually consider it a different series. Mintage of just 89,000 pieces. On the other end of the spectrum are the 1947s. Those have been restruck as recently as the last 5 or 10 years. So my advice would be to find any year other than 1947, slabbed by either NGC or PCGS, in a grade of 63 or above. And here's the kicker: Pay melt for it. Those deals are out there, you just have to look for them. I would not recommend buying ungraded pre-33. Too many fakes out there. Heritage deals in bullion and numismatics. But watch the buyers premium. Running about 25% right now! Appreciate you watching!
I've been missing your "smart" talk boss!

5oz gold chains now that is cool! Not no Cuban chain like most people go for. Those two necklace you have are awesome. Plain Jane but cool style
WOW, did not know about the 1950 Peru coin.

Hey siri set a reminder for “tegrity with Dub-C” tonight
😆
Buy any gold.
My first gold purchase was $180 an ounce
Now that would have been awesome!
@@Dub-C_Coins ya.... a few moons ago..... a 5 oz bar. Long sold, tho
I thought my $380 was good. Got me beat.
