You can't compare a Highlander Limited trim to the GV80. An apt comparison would be the Highlander Platinum trim to the GV80. That Genesis interior is gorgeous.

That may well be true; I don’t have much experience with the 450h, having just done a quick test drive of it a year or two back. I do remember liking it better than my 2016 Rx350.
Smart Park Assist have steering control as well? Otherwise, how can it be practical for having only straight forward and reverse movements only with ‘0’ steering control?
The reason that a lot of manufacturers decide to go with an automated entry set-up that only unlocks the driver's door has to do with security. If you are in a situation, be it in a large unlit parking lot, or a dark city street late at night, and feel threatened (for any number of reasons), you want to get into your car as quickly as possible, but you *don't* want all of the other doors unlocked and available for entry to anyone else approaching the vehicle. You might not have these concerns in Canada, but as a former Chicago resident, I can tell you that they are real.
glad to see someone has finally mentioned the reason -- I am not sure if it can be overridden like I can but don't in my Lincoln MKX. Have to love the BS camera monitor -- more vehicles should do this.
One note about the dial/touchpad most reviews don't mention is you can swipe your finger left or right on the center pad (not the scroll wheel) it and it will move through screens and the radio stations as well. It takes time to figure out all the tech on this vehicle and some of it is a little gimmicky IMO however I love mine and it's the best, most quiet ride similar to S Class for thousands less.
He's right about these dials in the middle. It's confusing at times, and it's hard to reach the icons located in the far right side of the info center.

@@EverydayReviews2022 ... I’m really now having a tough choice ... the GV80 or the Volvo XC90. I ❤️ the audio of the Volvo, esp. with the upgrade and of course its safety factor is never questioned.
Quick question, do you have to step out of the car to parallel park it?
No. You can do it in car as well.
Beautiful vehicle. Excellent review!
You can't compare a Highlander Limited trim to the GV80. An apt comparison would be the Highlander Platinum trim to the GV80. That Genesis interior is gorgeous.
Or a Lexus RX with the Luxury Package. The GV80 makes the Lexus interior look cheap by comparison, and the tech is very outdated. But the Lexus RX450H drives better and seems smoother and more quiet.
@@MSimky I’m coming out of an RX350 and waiting on delivery of my new prestige GV80. Can’t agree based on my test driving the GV80-it’s very smooth and quiet. Lexus has been bulletproof and comfortable though. But I prefer most everything about the Genesis.
@@infuori I think the RX450H drives a lot better (and quieter) than the RX350.
It can do both. 2 separate functions.
The front and interiors are stunning !
Yes but you can disable it if you want.
glad to see someone has finally mentioned the reason -- I am not sure if it can be overridden like I can but don't in my Lincoln MKX. Have to love the BS camera monitor -- more vehicles should do this.
Chi-raq!! My hometown!!
Do they not make the 7 seater prestige anymore?
Isn't the 3.5L V6 engine, twin turbo?
Yes it is.
I love this vehicle! This is next for me❤
I think its the hottest mid size luxury suv out!!
Interesting video. I never buy new electronics or cars. Just bought a 2019 GLS 550 for $45k and could not be happier (it was $100k new)
One note about the dial/touchpad most reviews don't mention is you can swipe your finger left or right on the center pad (not the scroll wheel) it and it will move through screens and the radio stations as well. It takes time to figure out all the tech on this vehicle and some of it is a little gimmicky IMO however I love mine and it's the best, most quiet ride similar to S Class for thousands less.
Beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
Love it!! Great job
He's right about these dials in the middle. It's confusing at times, and it's hard to reach the icons located in the far right side of the info center.
Fantastic SUV. The only question is: is it reliable it will still be on the road in 8 years with just regular maintenance?
True! This is why I don't understand all the hype or starting MSRP.
@@TechDadOG I guess we'll see in a couple of years. If it is then I will be buying a two year old used one with half the price. lol.
@@BunderaKZT yes it will not be worth half in two years. It will hold its value. It will be on the road in 8 years because the engine is direct port injection
@@bradleyscarreviews We shall see. I hope you are right because like I said, it is a fantastic SUV with decent price.
It comes with a 10 year/100k mile warranty.
i believe Genesis comes with 4 yr complimentary service included in the price of the car not like some other competitors that you have to pay for it and dont' forget they come home with courtesy car when you need service and take your car, so you don't have to go to dealers. price gap is much higher than just cost of the vehicle if you include service costs, another great review
It’s 5 years in Canada
Yes 5 years of Genesis at home in Canada.
what color is the car?
It’s called Adriatic Blue I believe.
wow.. it looks way better than lexus....
Nice review. Very luxurious SUV. But the third row is useless.
Third row in any mid size is only for in a pinch or for kids.
This literally puts the "cat amongst the pigeons"... Quality is right up there.... Jaguar, your done! Mercedes & BMW..... Look out!!
