My cat sometimes used his paw like a bowl and licked the water off repeatedly dunking his paw. It's at least 4% more efficient. But he only did it if there was a narrow opening he couldn't fit his head like a vase or a tall glass.
Cats curl their tongue backwards into a ladle shape when drinking so it's pretty efficient. I also enjoy how prim and proper they are about it rather than getting the water everywhere. Appreciation: +100 points.
I used to have a cat whose face looked exactly like this. She was such a precious girl. Sadly shes no longer with us but its nice to be reminded of her ❤
