This is honestly a perplexing level of problem-solving skill for a cat.
It kept its goal in mind while testing the bowl and its limits, studying how it reacts to its body weight and trying multiple different approaches in rapid succession until it found the right one.

Interesting that their brains won't even allow them to entertain the idea of going hind feet first into anything. Not sure if it's true or not, but I've heard they use their whiskers to gauge whether or not their torso will fit through an opening or not, so this is probably the reason

This kitty was so determined. At first, it didn’t seem possible. After he gets in, we see that the cat knew more than we thought, that he fit quite nicely, that it was possible, and so cozy.

AFAIK liquids are just the flowy kind, like water and stuff.
So liquids are fluids, but liquids aren't the only type of fluid.

actually i could tell the cat is sleepy and trying to find a secure place to sleep away from things that would wake it up. but stuck in the house it can't with that owner is what it looks like, so the cat might of been also a little moody paired with the sleepy. it just wants to be left alone to sleep in peace. they generally are up at night. sleepy in the day. atleast my cats were like that.
Cats can't resist small confined spaces they can fit in because they provide safety since they're "covered" from all sides. It's the reason they like boxes too.

he isn't pretending, this is how cats are, their bodies are insanely squishy and they love being like that.
Pretending? Friend, as a chaos bag (we share many personality traits with cats), I can confirm that contorting our bodies into awkward positions is in deed very comfortable.
