Your stride is so perfectly beautiful and your leg muscles are magnificent, but as your mother maybe I'm just prejudiced.😂 You always make it look easy. I love how techy this is all becoming. Can't wait to see the testing results from Day 2...nice cliff hanger!
With his time in Paris, he'd be top 5 in every single race the past 5 years. His 2:08 would have won 3 out of the 5 years. We'll see about it. Good luck Clayton!
@@Mcle3 What has top 5 to do with winning? Even tough what you said is wrong. He would not even have finished in the top 20 in Berlin Marathon or in the top 5 in London.
Idk why you’re hating so much. This comment and the overall is about the NYC Marathon. Berlin couldn’t be more different than NYC. Top 5 proves he can be competitive.
I ran NY last year (spoiler: I didn't win). This makes me want to run it again! Clayton, I am so impressed with your training and how inspirational these videos are. It motivates us "common folk" to be better and train smarter. I love your attitude and focus. Keep up the amazing work - you can totally do this!!! I will be watching and cheering you on!
You are such an inspiration, Clayton. These are the best running videos from the perspective of giving insight into elite running and the humanity of a really fantastic human, who also happens to be an elite runner
We need you guys to train for and run all six major world marathons :D The season 1 was magnificent, the season 2 is looking great. Let's keep seasons coming. :D
The best thing about Clayton is that his best friend is also his biggest rival. Conner is an untamed animal, and I say that in the positive sense. So, before Clayton gets to beat everyone at the NYC Marathon, he needs to beat Conner first. And Conner will not be playing a side-wing. You guys, both, are super awesome!
It's admirable the depths these two folks go to get the most out of their training but I cannot stress enough how good their coach is. Always trying to keep their training plan in tune with how they feel and adapt depending on their feedback as opposed to drilling them hard and seeing what sticks.
I don't understand the techie stuff at the end, but I absolutely love that it is part of the episode. It's all fascinating to me. Cheering you and Conner on each week!! 👍🏽👊🏽
Thanks for sharing your workouts! Your running, the level of detail and the commitment to improve is stupendous. Good luck for NYC Marathon to both of you.
Do the people in town say, 'There they go again!,' or cheer you guys on when you're training on the road? Thank you again for sharing your journey with us!
Stoked to see you making more episodes! I met you randomly at a party a month ago and have binged your whole series since then and I’m hooked! Yours and Adam’s videos have really gotten me back into running so thank you!
I am laughing about the microphone rubbing on the shirts when you run, but loving feeling a part of this. Thanks for taking us on your journey! Knock’em dead in NY!
Thank you for giving us some behind-the-scene type of activities! I was especially fascinated by the biomechanics lab testing where you tried various shoes to find which one fits best.
Hey clayton could you give us an unbiased opinion on which running shoe rotation you would go for if you could use shoes from every brand? Maybe a recovery/easy run shoe, a long run shoe and a race day shoe. Would appreciate it.
Awesome 9:44 awesome video again Clayton 🙂👍🏃♂️ ! Curious, what type watch are you wearing? I’ve a Garmin 55 and really like it 👍. There’s a few extras I’d like it to have, but it’s a beginner watch. Best of luck in NYC marathon, I already know you’ll rock it 💪💪. Thanks 😊
as i've just finished the whole docu-series , i can't express enough how good that experience was. i had sprint on netflix , whole Noah content here but that was something else. Clayton what an athlete and human being you are. Truely inspirational. i'm also so much into super shoe innovations and it is cool to see brands share their journey on the way of development. great feedback. just wishing you best at the NYC maraton and finishing this with Coach Ed. Ready Go!!!
I think for African runners like Tola , the motivation to win a major like NY comes from the prize money , which I’d say is as important , if not more , than the glory
what are the aciscs you're wearing? are they a new prototype or something? they look really cool ---- edit: oh you say they are a prototype right after i made the comment `:D
How are the east africans so strong in the 42k and doesn’t have these Biomechanics Lab Testing and data metrics , etc. as the US runners have. At the end of the day its just who wants it more! Keep the faith and your be alright

Wonderful! 💪
What a lucky guy to have his mom's support like this. Awesome
you remind me of my mother 😂😂
“You can always run another 4:40.” Oh okay. 😂
These videos will be rewatched forever. Unreal quality and you are incredibly well spoken throughout. Such a treat
Yes. Incredible insight into elite level running!
Thank you!!
@@_Clayton_Young_ i'm going to Run this exact sunday the Porto Marathon in Portugal, my City. Good luck for both of guys, you rock!!!!🎉🎉
@@emanuelsantos5585good luck to you as well!
I believe you can be the first American in the men’s division to win the NYC marathon since Meb did in ‘09. Good luck Clayton! 🎉
Thanks for the kind words! Channeling that confidence. 🙌
So you think he is going to take over 3 mins of his personal best and 4 mins of his season best? Anyone with sense knows this is not happening.
With his time in Paris, he'd be top 5 in every single race the past 5 years. His 2:08 would have won 3 out of the 5 years. We'll see about it. Good luck Clayton!

watching this makes me feel like the disciplined runner with relaxed arms that i aspire to be

Love your vids! Always good advice

I look forward to these immediately. So glad there’s an NYC build series.
Thanks Clayton for all the inspiration. The tech, geeky stuff is awesome!! Data doesn’t lie. Go with the proven shoe. Give my best to Ashley.

Loved the quiet pitter patter of the 8mile run. Thanks, it was beautiful!
It's admirable the depths these two folks go to get the most out of their training but I cannot stress enough how good their coach is. Always trying to keep their training plan in tune with how they feel and adapt depending on their feedback as opposed to drilling them hard and seeing what sticks.
All I could think when Conner came back with Sun glasses was the ASICS ad. Do you wanna wear my sunglasses?
I don't understand the techie stuff at the end, but I absolutely love that it is part of the episode. It's all fascinating to me. Cheering you and Conner on each week!! 👍🏽👊🏽
Super stoked for you guys both running nyc for the first time. Also boston in the future for you clayton you guys hot the hills down!
the production level on these videos are on fire!
Love some nerdy stats, feeds my former triathlete soul. Thanks for sharing the Stryde info
Ripping through that track workout! Interesting to see which shoes you decide to pick for NYC
Thanks for sharing your workouts! Your running, the level of detail and the commitment to improve is stupendous. Good luck for NYC Marathon to both of you.
To see the work that goes into a low 2 hour marathon is truly remarkable. Love the technical aspects and the numbers. All the best in NYC!
These are the perfect videos to watch during warm up for Sunday long run! Great stuff Clayton!
You’re on 🔥 clay! Loving the data/tech stuff. Can’t wait to see you run New York! Sending lots of good vibes and prayers! ❤
casually adding in the tempo mile after a great workout. These guys are something else! Great job boys NYC is going to be great.
The small things interview part is such a good vibes, love it!!!

You're so blessed you get to run so much. Im on my 16th stress fracture and only dream of doing the amount of running you do without falling apart.

Love the Honesty and Videowork is OUTStanding--I am getting excited for New York!!!
I am laughing about the microphone rubbing on the shirts when you run, but loving feeling a part of this. Thanks for taking us on your journey! Knock’em dead in NY!
I believe you will win nyc marathon
Thanks. Belief leads to faith. It is a VERY good field, but there is always a shot.
Some great runners, but you're one of them. Believe that you belong in the discussion!
Love the shoe tech and Doc's lab. Thanks for sharing!
The videography and content of these videos are so impressive and inspiring. Thanks for providing!

Wishing you all the best in NYC this weekend!
Love these videos. Make me want to get out and run. Good luck in New York
Enjoy your run!
Good luck in NYC! I’m about to start a new marathon training block for a race in January (hoping to finally break 4!)
Good luck with your build!

Just came back from a half, recovering watching Clayton young new video 💪💪💪💪

Another incredible video! Thank you for being willing to document your journey. So inspiring!!!

Saturday its my rest day. Nice shoes
🤓can i get a pdf download of that list of 30 things i need to be doing to get better as a runner?
It would be funny to see Tola's reaction to 4:05. Maybe he'll mention it with a wink at the start line.
Start the coffee pot, episode 2 dropped
You guys will kill it again! Podium finish 🙏🏾. Can I ask what watch and app you used in this episode looks great. Thank you.
How are you liking the new Asics protos? Seems hard to improve upon the wonderful Sky/Edge Paris but im sure Asics has something up their sleeve
They have been SO good! The Sky/Edge Paris treated me well the last year, yet ASICS innovation always finds a way to make them even better.
Was the MP workout in the new Sky?
Didn't look like Edge buy I wonder if that's the shoe we will be able to get soon.
New shoesssss though! 😍

So good
awesome video sir
God is on your side. You guys will operate in the supernatural this weekend. Lets go 1-2!!
If possible, a deeper dive into your strength routine would be quite insightful!
You’re my hero
Bad ass man. Bad Ass.
What's the 30 thing to do list? The world (well I) need it!
Amazing video as always! Just curious and have wondered for a while, what does Coach listen to when he has an AirPod in? Good luck in NYC 🙏

Any advice on strengthening the hip flexors. I’ve been having issues.
Do Heavy leg Workouts like squats, lunges, stand up, glute bridges, hip thrust, leg raises hanging
Some right hamstring weakness potentially? I know you’ve worked on it in the past. Just looked a bit more obvious during the PMP workout
If the 1600s were at tempo, what were the 1200s at?
what are the aciscs you're wearing? are they a new prototype or something? they look really cool ---- edit: oh you say they are a prototype right after i made the comment `:D
I need to see Conner race a mile
seriously he ripped that last 1200

Just joking. Thanks for watching!
