I think what really makes this movie is the family dynamic and the great writing. The family feel so real and relatable so you really care about them i feel like a lot of horror movies fail to accomplish this.
100% yes, I find horror movies nowadays lack relatable characters so you never truly care if they die; it's truly a shame.
And don't forget that incredible score by Jerry Goldsmith!

This is something you would not know about but… BEFORE cable T.V. ( Y I K E S !) when the broadcast stations went off-the-air for the night at around 12 Midnight / 2 O’Clock AM they played the Star Spangled Banner to a montage of images and the screen was static or blank (depending on the model) until the broadcast day started at 5:45 AM to 6:00 AM the next day.
Even after cable tv started, at least until the mid-80s, broadcast TV did the sign off with the anthem.
Back in the day, even the TV said "THAT'S ENOUGH. GO TO BED"
@@manuelper Yes, I know. What I meant was that Cable T.V.was the start of 24Hr. A Day broadcasting. Even the U.H.F. stations that ran 24 Hrs. had a short “Sign-Off” at 5:00 or 6:00 AM Before resuming with a new broadcast day.
For us there was always the American Flag flying, lol.
I remember falling asleep in the living room and waking up as the anthem played and would know it was time to shut down and go to bed.
I always felt like Robbie (the boy) just kept getting his ass kicked and everyone was focused on Carol Ann, thus perfecting the ULTIMATE middle child stereotype. He got eaten by a tree, ignored by his parents and attacked by a toy clown, yet everyone was concerned about his little sister. My dad took me to see this in the theater. I was 4. Nightmares for months! I loved it!
Yet in real life, He was the only child who cheated death. 'Carol-Anne' died of congenital stenosis, and 'Dana' was murdered by her estranged boyfriend.
*edit-- (forgotten, added bonus) the character 'Pugsley' (construction worker) was murdered with an axe to the head by an ex-con who wanted steal his car.
These coupled with the production using real skeletons as a cheaper alternative marred this production as "cursed".
hahaha! great point
robbie’s traumatic events were all diversionary tactics orchestrated by the spirits, so they could get carol anne (she was their bridge to the living world). he would get attacked just a little bit before the spirits would snatch up the girl. it was all applied spectral okedokes. but they didn’t count on the family being so tough and a mother’s love for her daughter being greater than any fear she may have had for them. if she didn’t fight them for her kids, they would’ve been lost forever bf the house imploded.
We had the best movies as kids From our generation… I’m so glad I did not grow up in this generation’s entertainment….
he was always just a distraction like the ghost would attack him first so it could get Carol Anne
Slides off into pool of zombies..
"Oh no, she just had that bath and everything"...LMAO!
She's getting a second bath now. A dirty mud bath.
This movie taught me how to tell how far away a storm is.
I always think of this scene each time haha
So do I.
Me too
Same. Still count in the back of my head with every strike.
Still to this day, I do the storm counting!!
Rest in peace Heather O'Rourke & Dominique Dunne.
and also Zelda Rubinstein (Tangina Barrons)
RIP 💖
And Julian beck(Kane) and Will Sampson(Taylor)
So sad what happened to them. Both so young
@@Threeleebird she got to live her whole life though. The others died so young
The guy with the mustache on the TV was Gene Shalit. He did movie and other reviews for years. Now for a story...
I saw this movie as a kid, shortly after it came out on vhs. It was during a sleepover at a friend's house and they had rented it. Well, it shook us kids up pretty well. Then we went to bed shortly after the movie was over.
My friend had two beds against opposite walls of the room. The guest bed was the one under the window. He also had stuffed animals on it. As luck would have it, one was a clown, though neither as large nor as frightening as the one in the movie. Naturally I dropped it off the bed rather than have it up there looking at me all night.
Screams woke me up out of a dead sleep. My friend was sitting up screaming his head off. His parents and older brother burst in to find out what was going on.
Turned out the clown had landed on the floor and against the bed practically standing up. My friend had woken up and saw the clown standing there looking at him. He called me a couple of times and when I didn't respond, he thought the clown had killed me and was coming for him next.
😂😂😂
-Small lady: This house is clean.
-Me: LIIIIIIEEEEEESSS
I’m sure someone else has mentioned this but back in the day in America the TV was not broadcast 24/7. So when it was going to stop it played the National Anthem first
"Poltergeist" came out two years BEFORE "Nightmare on Elm Street". Just saying.
"Is she supposed to be, like, a Ghost Whisperer?" "Maybe. A ghost specialist?.....Definitely not a Ghostbuster." LOL. You guys are cracking me up on this one.
If the Ghost Busters were ever needed it was for this movie
@@jodyspiegel73 Jody, you just cracked me up!!!! :D
I was 8 when this came out, and it scared the ever loving shit out of me. I don't eff with clowns or puppets and I can trace it back to this movie lol
Ikr. At the beginning they were talking about clowns being scary without knowing this film was what made clowns scary way before IT
@@jeffreyla74 To be fair, John Wayne Gacy made clowns scary before this. Not way before this but, you know.
Anybody who gives that clown doll to their kids openly hates them.
I was ten when it was released. I'm pretty sure that Spielberg and Stephen King ruined clowns for our entire generation. I mean, okay, Gacy was the catalyst, but still.
Me too.
I live alone and i love movies. Watching with you guys is wonderful company, and watching you guys seeing them for the first time is so fun. It makes watching alone not feel so bad
29:00 "Omg, she just took that bath and everything!" 😂😂😂
During the time this movie came out, we did not have 24 hour television. At the end of the day, the stations would play loud music and then go to 'snow' for no signal.
I think the loud music was to wake you up to turn off the TV, if you had fallen asleep with the TV on.
Oh! I forgot to add this to my earlier comment...
After the Poltergeist movie, I did NOT want to see that 'no-signal snow' pop up on the television anymore. 😱
Nope nope nope.
How can you not love this little girl? Heather O'Rourke was the cutest child in this movie of all time. Btw Steven Spielberg discovered her while she was at the movies with her family. She had such a unique look about her that you don't see everyday. Rest Easy to this beautiful child. 🙏
Requiescat In Pace Heather.
True but he wanted Drew Barrymore first but Drew turn it down
This is a movie said to be cursed. The actress who played the older sister was murdered the same year this movie was released. And the actress who played Carol Anne went on to make two more movies in this franchise, and died the year the third movie was released (6 years after the first movie). And there are some other things that happened associated with these films that lend to a supposed curse
Those were real skeletons. Fake ones cost too much to construct. That definitely added to the curse.
The physical was named Tanginia, and she died also after this film
@@bettymoody7422 You're right about that. But she died WELL after this film, in 2010. Nothing to do with the "curse".
@@bettymoody7422 Yeah, like 16 years later, lol.
The little girl didn’t die! She was murdered also… by her father
Lol. In the olden days when we didn't have 24/7 streaming content or cable, TV stations would actually finish airing late at night. There would be some short tv station closing like the American anthem you see here in the movie, then you'd get something like the colourful classic retro "test screen" or in this case noise until the station starts program again early in the morning.
Imo, still one of the best horror movies of all time.
This is my go to movie 🎥 I watch every Halloween
(Cemetery relocations for construction happen A LOT. Like a whole lot. Especially for public works projects like interstate highways, new cloverleafs, dams, etc. They usually take care to relocate the bodies too, though; workmen don't wanna be back-hoeing up skeletons.)
I was going to say - its actually fairly common.
There are even a couple grave markers cast in the concrete of a runway in the Hilton Head International Airport
Savannah, Georgia.
The ordinances forbid moving the graves and bodies without the signature of a relative.
Yup common in other countries too lol
Statistically a lot of us are living in repeatedly used areas. Someone's definitely died where you're at. In Europe those odds shoot up due to wars funneling locals and foreigners to an early, messy demise.
@EclipseStrife do you live on earth?
"We're Canadians , it dosen't matter"
"Oh, sh#t. I guess that's right....huh" LOL This is why everyone loves Canada. Yall are awesome!
Having served in the US Military and being present several times where foreign forces were present at my base, or while I was visiting foreign military bases, it is respectful to at least remove your hat and stand respectfully when a foreign national anthem is played. Visiting military members will do the same when the US National Anthem is played at morning colors.
Not much different than the fans being respectful for both the US and Canadian anthems being played at hockey games when teams from each country face off.
(I have noticed the fans in the stands actually tend to be more respectful of both anthems than the players on the rink are.)
@@peterkoester7358 I agree, if you're military especially. As a sports fan it's traditional, but as an everyday civilian walking around or on RUclips videos I wouldn't expect it, or hold anything against one who hasn't had it drilled into them. I believe most people feel the same way. You do you.
Canada EH??. lol.
@@peterkoester7358 To be fair, those players have to listen to the anthems 80+ times in 6 months. Can't really blame them for tuning out from time to time.
You finally caught on to the fact that trees can't be trusted.Better late than never :)
M dad was an attorney for the state we live in and back in the late 1960s. He specialized in land condemnation for state usage. He helped take and relocate part of a huge cemetary so they could put a giant 4 - 5 lane freeway exit and turn off highway through to the city we later moved to. They moved many many many graves. True story
This is still my favorite horror film by far. The Exorcist is something to experience and along the lines of respect as The Godfather and 2001: A Space Odyssey. But Poltergeist, mostly because of the cast, was like watching your own family or someone else's and feeling protective.
I was 14 when this came out theatrically and when the guy tore his face apart I distinctly remember thinking “This is awesome, how the hell is this Rated PG?”😂
The PG13 rating started two years later.
Yeah, I was about 8 and I literally thought the same thing. Also this is one of the few movies to ever give me nightmares when I was a kid. I saw the Exorcist when I was about the same age and that was a big, big mistake lol
Fun trivia about the scene with the guy ripping his face off... those are actually Steven Spielberg's hands doing the face-ripping. ;-)
This movie scared the crap out of me as a kid and yet for some reason i watched it repeatedly.
The imploding house was was filmed w a scale model that was sucked backwards into a vacuum. The pieces were given to Spielberg in a box afterwards. (Practical effects were so much more creative...)
They used real skeletons in the pool scene.
Yup. They were cheaper to buy from a medical supply house instead of building them.
It ticked Spielberg off something awful.
I think the same skeletons were also used in Raiders of the Lost Ark for the Well of Souls scene.
You'd think, given the story revolving around the mistreatment of corpses and it leading to a supernatural reckoning, that they'd have NOT done the exact same thing for real when filming it. And they wonder why the production was "cursed."
I always liked how the family handled themselves in this one. As soon as they could, they left. Well done.
Lmao "stay in your lane clown" I had a clown figure like that when I was a kid from the circus, after this movie the closet was its permanent residence. This movie is why my keyring only has the ignition key on one side and house on the other. Great reactions guys!
“The ghost or poltergeist a patriot?” 🤣
FUN FACT: at the time this movie was made television was not yet broadcast 24 hours a day. Before stations would sign off for the night and end the signal they would play the national anthem.
I was 10 years old when this came out. I saw it in the theater. That clown jumping out from under the bed is a core fear memory that made me afraid of empty dark houses for a long time.
The workers 'making themselves a home" were employed to dig the pool basin.
It was customary to have them some homemade food and drinks for their lunch - they would have the whole pot for themselves.
Those guys probably didn't much about hygiene, as you could tell from their manners and catcalling.
Yes, the eighties, when you could show a couple having some joints like they were still having their time at Woodstock...
NOW I feel old! I remember seeing this as an 8 year old with my dad in the theater. Thanks guys so much!👏🏾
Always love to watch this movie and remember it was PG. So many traumatized children whose parents thought it's PG so it's fine for kids
I believe that part of Poltergeist the Carol Anne part may have been inspired by an early Twilight Zone episode where a child disappears in the room. The dad Craig Nelson played in the tv series Coach and The District.
Since you two are such fun and loving brothers you should really watch "Rain Man" (1988), I think it will really pull at your heart strings.
2:36 Curtis starts a slither that’s actually a full body spasm. 2:39. Dog declares they’ve had enough of that and sneaks off.
Also the face ripping off scene, welcome to movies, the pre PG-13 era when it was so much easier to traumatize kids for life. Two years later Temple of Doom came along and ruined that for all of us but our parents felt better about what we were “allowed” to watch
"Looks like a very lovely place to live"
Uhm.....guys.
Yeah, that ain't going to age well.
Yeah......,about that. 😉
This is one of my Favorite movies, when storytelling and practical effects were the best!
Plus I enjoy seeing all the Cool Toys again that I use to have. Especially that Darth Vader Case that’s on the Bed Head Rest. It held all the figures inside.
The pink goo they were covered in is ectoplasym or as they called it in Ghostbusters slime and their response vehicle is named after it Ecto-1.
Another great Spielberg movie. Part of the genius of this movie is setting it in an all American suburb with a typical family. All that aside... the Curtis slither is amazing! "What kind of fucking snakes are you looking at?"...hahahaha.
Headless ones?
A few years ago, in Sugarland TX, it was discovered that certain areas were built on top of the graves of slaves. When that news broke, I immediately thought about the Cuesta Verde subdivision in POLTERGEIST. You know, the part about the developers moving the headstones of the graves and not the bodies while building the neighborhood on top of the actual graves.
This movie, along with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom were the inspiration for PG-13. This is NOT a kids movie, and would likely be rated R today.. But a GREAT movie for sure.
This is essentially a Steven Spielberg movie. He was unsecretly secretly calling the shots but was contractually banned from “officially” directing the movie while making E.T. at the same time.
It pretty much ruined Tobe Hooper's career. Too bad. I love/hate Texas Chainsaw
@@Sandy-gg7to I doubt it.
If that were the case he would not have touched anything Spielberg with a barge pole for all time, and yet he directed the pilot episode of Taken, Spielberg's abduction oriented mini series.
You all asking about explaining the daughter in the TV reminded me of a classic Eddie Murphy bit from his stand-up days:
"And not only did they stay in the house with the poltergeist, they invite more people over! Sitting around going: 'Our daughter Carroll-Ann's in the television set.'
I would have been gone. If I had a daughter, went down to the precinct and say, 'Look man, I went home my fucking daughter's in the TV set and I just fucking left. You can have all this, I ain't going back to the motherfucker. I just came down so when she ain't at the school you don't think I killed the bitch or anything like that. But she is inside the tv set you can have all that shit. Thank you.'
'Mr. Murphy didn't you try to save your daughter?'
'Yeah, I'm a man, see I tried to save her I turned the channels; the shit didn't work. I got the fuck out.' The kid was only 6 years old in the movie, they couldn't have been too attached to her."
LOL, I love that last line "They couldn't have been too attached to her." Eddie is hilarious, I absolutely love him
I used to pass this house in my educated youth (Jr high) years. This is in Simi Valley, California. 3 blocks away from me. Simi has grown a lot since the 80's and still a peaceful town that commonly closes at 10pm (during the week). Overall its mainly a nice quite suburban town with little to no crime.
I had a friend who lived in simi valley CA.
The chairs in the kitchen freaked me out more than the Disneyland monster effects. I wonder if the 6th Sense stole that idea when all the drawers and cabinet doors were open in the kitchen scene in that movie.
I was eleven when this movie came out lived it ever since ... love how your expressions are so similar in response to scenes 🤣❣️u guys
Oh yes!!!! One of my all time favorite movies! Only sad thing is the dead bodies in the movie are real. The actress had no IDEA until after she filmed her scenes. And most of the cast had horrible experiences after the movie was made. The oldest daughter murdered and Carolane Died. I can go into more on how she really died. All together after the film 13 people died Cast and Crew. Movie was def Cursed
The skeletons were real but they were properly cleaned and for scientific purposes. So technically no longer bodies just bones
You are both on top form for this one! Your reverence and respect for Tweety is a joy to behold. Awesome movie on every level, I never tire of it.
Tweety is the OG, RIP gone too soon.
@@OctoKrool Amen brother!
Hands down one of the best horror movies I've ever seen.
Also, those weren't fake skeletons. Jobeth Williams (Diane) didn't know they were real.
Horror movie can be watched all year not just in October👍, I seen this when I was 10 and I still don't sleep with my closet door open.
⚜️ Facts.
Fun Fact: The black camera guy is now Beyonce's stepfather! Richard Lawson 🙃
This one has been a favorite since childhood. Looking forward to the reaction. Everything that happened to the cast is pretty crazy if you look into it.
i hate to be negative however i have a major issue with y’all. i’m genuinely jealous of the awesome relationship you guys have as brothers. it’s one of the main reasons your vids are so popular, other than being entertaining and funny, y’all put out a very welcoming and chill vibe. i guess some of us are missing that in our personal family life so it’s really nice to have something as simple as a yt movie reaction vid to give us a lil sense of friendship and brotherhood while putting a smile across our faces and even laughing sometimes a lil louder than we should. so yeah that’s my “complaint” abt y’all lol. hope you guys have an awesome halloween this weekend and stay safe. much love from sc.
I remember in the 80’s tv stations ended each of their program schedule with the national anthem and then they’d go off air showing nothing but snowy static.
Never thought about it before, but considering the people were staying there for a bit, setting up equipment and stuff, maybe they brought some food as well. He might have been cooking his own steak, which would compound the horror of seeing a steak you paid good money for do that.
60 some years ago, our town decided to move the old cemetery
In our town. It was always considered to be at the edge of town- but as the town grew, so did the cemetery. My parents and Grandparents told me about them digging up over 1000 gravesites, and moving the coffins to the other Side of town! A few years ago, they were doing some work on the new empty space to pave it with a parking lot. It started to rain- and suddenly, they began to notice there was something in the excavation hole…
It was more coffins. No markings to who they are😢. The one side of the mini-mall still is only a steep hill… and yes, more coffins have been discovered there too. The people who work in the police station, and the shops there, all report of strange things happening… like there’s someone coming into their places of work, and creating havoc. It wouldn’t
Surprise me at all!😱
The face melting scene used to scare the daylights out of me when I was a kid.
The sequel also deserves a look, with a memorable villain played by Julian Beck
Yes, Poltergeist II explains the first movie pretty well. You can skip part III though.
Among those who died during filming.
Poltergeist 3 was stupid and a waste of the actors and actresses talent.
His holy temmmmmmmmple!
Let me in.
I think the clever line by the little lady medium (also is the tagline for the movie trailer and poster), said it all..."it knows what scares you". The boy's fear of the tree, the mom's fear of the kids drowning in the swimming pool, the dad's fear of loss of control in his family. The poltergeists' mission was to devide the family away from the child to be able to snatch her, which is every parent's nightmare, loosing their children.
This was one of my favourite movies as a kid ,I remember my big sister trying to spook me by whispering " Carol Ann " at night in our room ,but it would just make me giggle ,because she couldn't do a southern accent very well(we are from the UK) .
I think the overlay (watermark) might be a better technique to get around the copyright blocks than the 3 seconds video/3 seconds OktoKrool logo.
Exactly!
Yes please it's really annoying lol
It's just got a terrible case of hiccups
10:35 them digging up the bird was actually clever foreshadowing
Damn y'all cut out one of the most famous movie screams ever.
I'm only about 5 minutes in to their reaction but I'm going to assume you mean the sister screaming "WHAT'S HAPPENINGGGGGGGG" towards the end? lol
Craig T. Nelson who played as the dad in this movie did the voice of Mr. Incredible in "The Incredibles".
Part 2 is very good too, they answer a bunch of questions you may still have. part 3 sucks though
Back before TV was 24/7, at the end of the sign off day, maybe like 3 am or what have you, the network would play (usually) the national anthem, then you get the snow/static until 5 am. Things are so different
Coincidentally I just re-watched Poltergeist last night (it’s on of my all time favs!) and then you guys uploaded this! You’re reactions were funny as hell 😂😂😂 Loved this!!
Did everyone just miss that Dana knew where the hotel was with a smile on her face and then when she’s screaming “what’s happening”, there a big old hickey on her neck?!
Have you guys watched The Crow? If not, I definitely recommend
I'm glad you guys finished out October on my favorite horror movie of all time. Not only is it a really good scary movie, but what makes it extra scary is that there is a curse behind the movie. Look into it. You seem like a really cool guys. Always enjoy watching y'alls reactions. 😎💓🤘🏻
The "monster" thing keeping Diane out of the kids' room --- they used the sound of the MGM Lion roar. LOL
"Was that Tweety? What's with the disrespect for the bird?" ....

This movie scared me to death when I was little. Love the reactions. You guys are awesome. And I was totally not serious a week ago when you guys were having issues uploading and I wrote the message ranting like I was mad. I was totally kidding. I love your channel.
10:58 mustache guy was Gene Shalit. He was the movie critic for the Today Show back then.
There is a "Twilight Zone" episode called 'Little Girl Lost' that must have inspired this movie. I also learned to count between the lightning and thunder from this movie. It used to work. But weather is a hot mess now (climate change).
It's so funny that you brought that up. I watch the TWIGHLIGHT ZONE and ALFRED HITCHCOCK every night and I have noticed that there are so many episodes that remind me of some movies that have been made.
The relocation of old cemeteries is not that uncommon. Most times it is only done when there is no real other choice. Several years ago NH DOT had to redesign a highway exit that had a colonial-era cemetery within the loop of one cloverleaf. In order to bring the roadway up to current standards, the land the cemetery occupied was going to be built on entirely. However, in this case they brought in archeologists, carefully mapped out all the graves and what they contained, and respectfully removed the remains and markers and relocated them elsewhere nearby before filling in the ground and building the new road atop it. Happy to say there have not been any poltergeist encounters on that road since it re-opened.
Star Wars merchandise was everywhere for about ten years . The first really mass produced “topic” of any campaign . Like how u can find anything with everything printed on it . Star Wars was soo popular the demand for merchandise was massive and we all had shirts sheets and anything we could find back then . I was born in 68’. My Generations youth were raised on Star Wars . Poltergeist and close encounters were some of the scariest . So fun watching u guys watch . All we had was the theater . A world where we could watch Star Wars at our own convenience never existed . Made it even more special I feel . We had to go back again and again to theatre to rewatch a movie. .no vhs no computers . U guys are so lucky to see a whole catalogues of hits for the first time spanning literally decades . Ive seen them alll . Now multiple multiple times . Just so u k ow they need er get tiring . U can rewatch this stuff over and over for the rest of ur lives now . Imaging when ur fifty how many times u will see ur favorites from youth . These are all mine . my babysitter showed me this (and Nightmare on Elm Street) when I was five.... man! she was so awesome!
if you love this film you should have a look at a film called " The Entity" it takes this kind of vibe to a whole different level
I love the entity! One of my fav movies and to this day after watching over 25 years ago still sticks with me.
Loved the entity. Thought the son was hot.
It's also based on real events.
Barbara Hershey played the shit out of that role!
Oh man... that movie is terrifying! I can hear that blaring, throbbing music in my head just thinking about it.
I'm glad you guys finally got to see this film and your reactions are priceless. There have been all kinds of claims about whether Spielberg driectied or Tobe Hooper directed this film. We have to keep in mind that Spielberg was doing "E.T." just about the same time as this film was finishing up. Despite the rumblings going on that Spielberg actually directed the film and Hooper didn't, I heard that Hooper wanted to improve his directing chops after having been replaced as a director on 2 films prior to Poltergeist. Hooper and Spielberg admired each others works on each others TV Movies (Hooper directed the 2 part version of Stephen King's "Salems Lot" and Spielberg directed a short film in the TV series "Night Gallery" having the chance to direct the legendary Joan Crawford). So Spielberg lend a helping hand whenever Hooper felt he needed it which was often. After Poltergeist you can see in the remaining films that Hooper did how much improved his movies looked the way the actors acted and how he directed the movements of the camera. Compare "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" made in 1974 to the sequel made in 1986. There's quite a difference.
When you said "climbing the Whomping Willow", I snorted out my water.😂
20:18 the part with the steak... after I seen that for the first time, I gave up steaks. I still eat meat, but not sreaks.
32:35 can you blame them for not wanting the television in the hotel room?
One of my favorites. If you want to treat yourselves to something amazing, try The Maltese Falcon. The best detective movie ever made.
Great effects for 1982..My scariest movie growing up !
Moment of silence for Tweety. ✊You guys are even dressed in yellow, showing mad respect. Love that bird. 😁
The oldest daughter--Dominique Dunne--was murdered by her boyfriend before this movie was released. Little Heather O'Rourke died after filming 'Poltergeist 3'--an undiagnosed bowel blockage. RIP.....
Dude I love this movie but when I watched it as an adult it was after I had a niece for 6 years and the thought of her getting trapped someplace where we can't get her... had a good cry over that one 😂
I laughed so freakin’ hard at this one! 🤣🤣🤣
Some interesting facts:
The girl who played Dana, the elder sister, was murdered shortly after the movie's release.
Carol-Anne sadly died of a heart attack, aged 14 during filming of the third installment.
The skeletons used were apparently real deceased people.
She was 12 and she died from congenital stenosis
@@JemJam2976 Close enough.
Most people don’t know that the sound and fuzz on a TV is actually the background radiation of the big bang.
Sooooo back in the day.... at that time there was a finite amount of television shows and at the end of the night(which was usually 1:30-2) the station would sign off with with the Star Spangled Banner and then it would just be nothing but static. I would wake up as a child and turn off the TV that my mom fell asleep to. That idea at that time makes this "They're here..." reference so much more creepy. This was such a great movie made by minds of the time.
My sister , who was around 17, had/made me watch this when I was about the age of the son back in the mid 80s and it scarred me, and it became my favorite scary movie.
Hi OctoKrool... i enjoyed this so much! I have seen the movie many times but with your reactions and comments... I liked it more . Thank you for your channel .
The guy on the TV with the huge mustache was Gene Shalit, who was a well-known movie reviewer back in the day.
So I’m sure someone may have said something about this but they did use real dead bodies for the skeletons in the pool and they didn’t tell the cast about the use of real dead bodies until after the fact. Now Robbie is treated and messed with the most in this film he is treated pretty badly in the sequel as well it’s kind of messed up but funny! I’m glad you enjoyed it
There is a movie I was wondering if you guys would react to? I really think you guys will like it. It's a great suspense movie, and in my humble opinion, one of the best movies Jim Carrey ever did. I think it really made him stand out as an actor the first time I watched it. It's called "The Number 23." Again, it's a really good suspense thriller movie. Alright guys. 🙂✌🏻
23 is a very good movie..very underrated.
I vote 23 too
Me and my wife saw at the theater such fun times in the early 80s going to movies thanks guys
