@@John_Locke_108 I guess but its just as original as T2, if not more and honestly, I have more nostalgia for LAH over T2. Both are high art in the action genres.

Maybe one of the most underrated action films? It has layers upon layer upon layers. It's also great how different the film is shot between the fictional world and the real world.
This movie was kind of a head of its time, being able to poke fun of and deconstruct all the action mocies tropes, while also being entertaining and a loving tribute… plus Charles dance is so much fun is the villain… Hello? I've just shot somebody, I did it on purpose! Lol
@@Luciphell It's part of a trilogy, a musical trilogy I'm working on in D minor which is the saddest of all keys, I find. People weep instantly when they hear it, and I don't know why.
It was panned because it came out during the height of the action hero genre when Arnold was THE action star. People were so angered by the twist that they felt let down.
It didn’t help that it opened the week after Jurassic Park opened, a movie that would become(at that time) the highest grossing film of all time…until 1997. And then just to be cruel, Sleepless in Seattle opened the week after that.
If you wanna see Charles dances craziest role in cinematic history, watch Space Truckers. Its a great and funny movie to watch. Edit: How does she not get the couple of acres joke? Two nuts hurting. Acres meaning pain, a couple means 2-4. A couple of acres means (2 nuts in pain.) Also you guys totally missed the terminator from Terminator 2: Judgement Day as he walked out of the police station. Hes the guy after you see Sharon Stone.
When movie Arnold is talking at the premier he is talking about killing less people in the new movie. When they were making the video game version of Last Action Hero, real Arnold said he didn't want Slater to run around killing people. So they removed guns from the game.
One of the most underrated movies in history of filmmaking. A comedic masterpiece with amazing gags, a great satiric action movie with fantastic acting from Arnold and Charles Dance, F Murray Abraham and the great, great Anthony Quinn, and, of course, it's greatest strength: the best 4th wall break in history of cinema. Priceless film, 10/10.
Given his rising star power, Alan Rickman asked for too much money to play Benedict. Charles Dance got the part instead and wore a T-shirt on set "I'm cheaper than Alan Rickman"!

Dear Mrs: you’re wondering about the yelling boss: played by Frank McRae in the 1982 film 48 hrs. He played the exact same role and played it precisely this way. Obviously John McTiernan knew that, cast him to do the same thing (the role is a parody of cop bosses from tv shows). This film isn’t great l, it’s in the “very good “ category. Apparently too many people didn’t understand this is parody of action movies and of Arnold action films too. 3 cheers for John McTiernan!
