Interesting fact: When Queen was approached to do the music for this film; they were apprehensive to do so. Having done the music for Flash Gordon (1980), they weren't sure about making music for a movie. They had just come off their epic performance at Live Aid in July of 1985, and were eager to go back in the studio to record new music. They had some ideas, but nothing concrete. Then they were approached by the director Russell Mulcahy (pronounced Mull-Cay-Hee) for this film; saying that he wanted to have a title song that had an "anthem quality" to it. He showed them a 20-minute rough cut of Highlander; to give the band an idea of what he wanted to do for the film. When they saw it, they said that not only would they do the title track for the film; but that they'll record approximately six or eight songs for the film. The songs they wrote were: - Princes of the Universe (the title track; reused for the Highlander TV series in 1992-1998) - A Kind of Magic - One Year of Love - Gimme The Prize (Kurgan's Theme) - Don't Lose Your Head (which in this film has a remix with a cover of Frank Sinatra's New York, New York) and - Who Wants to Live Forever During these sessions, they also wrote a song called "One Vision", which wound up being used for the film Iron Eagle (1986). The songs were released for their album "A Kind of Magic". The band went out on tour in support of the album; touring overseas in Europe, Italy, Rome, Germany, Budapest; culminating in two memorable nights at Wembley Stadium (one year after they stole the show at Live Aid), and a final show at Knebworth Park, in front of 125,000 people. This tour was the last that Queen did with Freddie Mercury on lead vocals. A year later he was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987, but he still continued to make music with Queen until the very end in November of 1991.
@@adriantrusca1245 He is 100% correct. According to Mulchay, he originally thought of Duran Duran for the soundtrack but wanted a harder edge so they reached out to Queen. Here is the entire question and answer from the Sep 2023 interview between Dave Everley and Russell Mulchay. How did Queen’s involvement in the soundtrack come about? I loved Queen, I was a huge fan of their music, and I really loved the soundtrack they had done to Flash Gordon. So we contacted them and I think they were a little sceptical at first, but we invited them over to the edit studio in London and we showed them 20 minutes of cut footage - six or seven different scenes. All the band came over, and they came out and said, “That’s really cool.” So I thought we’d get one song out of them. But two days later we got the message back that they all wanted to write a song: Freddie wanted to write as song, Roger wanted to write a song, so did Brian and John. I ended up getting five songs in the end, which was amazing.
What makes Christopher Lambert even more impressive in this film is the fact that he is legally blind. This dude was acting in choreographed fight scenes with 30 lb broad swords unable to see more than a blur.
@@King-Omega- Exactly. I have no idea how people come up with swords weighing astronomically high amounts. This was most closely based on a hand and a half sword though, often referred to as a bastard sword. Broadswords were a bit shorter.
this movie was mindblowing in the cinema . as a kid we went home and made swords out of wood immediately and were sword fighting for weeks after. there can only be one !
Fun Fact *_Christoff Lam-bear_* (Christopher Lambert) English was so bad it took both a dialect coach and *_Sean Connery_* to learn English & Scottish prose. Both Sean and Chris became friends until Sean's death. Rumor has it that Christopher Lambert was one of the pallbearers at his funeral.
Adam Lambert, the current lead singer of Queen, is worthy of Freddie's microphone. His performance of "Who Wants to Live Forever" at the Isle of Man concert is fantastic.
The Kurgan is one of the best villains in movie history imo…when he steals the car and driving about with the old woman is brilliant and then again with Brenda is even better. Angus is played by James Cosmo…he always played Hamish’s dad in Braveheart. He’s a truly amazing actor and great Scottish patriot
They call the Kurgan a savage, but he speaks more eloquently and with better pronunciation than modern Americans. "Never speak to me. Don't ever speak to me again. Do you understand?"
The guy who played Angus (the redhead who stopped the burning at the stake) was also Amish’s Dad at the beginning of Braveheart. The on that said, William, come here lad when he had to tell him his dad and brother were dead.
@@shag139 Same guy, with makeup. The legendary James Cosmo, the guy cast whenever they need someone Scottish. Although thinking back to Braveheart, are you thinking of William's uncle, Argyle, played by the also legendary Brian Cox?
As an 80's kid and professional wrestling fan it blew my mind in the theatre seeing The Fabulous Freebirds during the intro, it was like seeing Hulk Hogan as ThunderLips in Rocky 3 or Andre in the Princess Bride
The footage was from an actual AWA live event. In the movie, it's supposed to be Madison Square Garden, but it obviously is not during the match shots. The event was actually in New Jersey. The Freebirds' opponents in the match were Greg Gagne, Jim Brunzell, and the Tonga Kid.
During the wrestling match, those were NOT Aextras. They were supposed to be at a hockey game. But the NHL objected at the last minute. So the production company had to scramble and find something comparable. The hockey game was supposed to simulate battle on a field and they were going to use it as a transition back to Scotland.
The Quickening gets stronger the farther in time they go as each immortal absorbs more and more energy from each one they kill. I not 100% sure but Conner's history room looks a lot like Walter Donovan's history from "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."
Great reaction Funny thing was Lambert was French, growing up in Switzerland trying to put on a Scottish accent to play a Scottish character while Connery, an actual Scot, plays an Egyptian and doesn’t bother to change his real Scottish accent for the part
The mad thing about the sword fights is that Christopher Lambert is almost blind. So swinging a sword around in nearly dark places was an interesting experience for all involved. Also, they had the great get out for having to explain immortals - no one knows why they are, they just are. But the sequels try and explain it or just do a less well done remake of this one. But the tv show is worth a watch
My college roommate's dad was an OBGYN. He lost a few moms in childbirth and said he remembered every one, so that doctors remembering the case is not too much
Love this movie! I’m with every one else- stop at this one! This was the first movie I ever saw Clancy in- we who saw this loved him way before you guys ever saw him in anything else! I’ve always loved Christopher lambert since I saw this and well every one knows Connery is just amazing in anything he has played.
The guy he kills in the parking garage is Peter Diamond the stunt coordinator for the original Star Wars Trilogy. He stunt performer one of the Weequay the first alien to sall into the Sarlac pit from Jaba the Hutt's Sail Barge.
Yes, this was very cool to see in the '80s. It was something not really seen until this movie. I saw it twice in the theater. ( And loved Clancy Brown!!) (And seeing Sean Connery as someone other than 007!)
"What does in-comp-e-tent mean?" " What does baffled mean" one of the most underrated but hilarious scenes in the movie. The Directors last name is pronounce Mul-kay-hee.
The opening shot sweeping through the stadium was accomplished using a computerized system that held the camera on four wires. The system was invented by the inventor of the Steadicam stabilizing camera system, Garrett Brown. And his name is pronounced MUL-KAY-HEE. And funny how you both mentioned how clearly the relationship between Rachel and Connor was established in so few scenes, but The Crow remake over-extended the Erik and Shelley relationship and couldn't even come close to conveying an actual one. Something really special about these old films the new ones can't come close to matching.
Pitch to Sean Connery: Studio: It’s a movie about Scottish Highlanders which will be filmed in Scotland. Connery: Shplendid. What part will I be playing? Studio: You’ll be an immortal Egyptian who has been living in Spain. Connery: And how much will you be paying me?
My Dad was a big Highlander fan, both of the movies and the series with Adrian Paul (which is very 90s but pretty sweet, check it out). One of my favorite memories growing up was coming home after football practice to watch an episode or two of the series with him. We cleared the box set in a Summer. It was pretty cool. Made me smile to see this, thanks. "Who wants to live forever?"
'70s/'80s Decor I do NOT miss is the "conversation pit" or sunken living room. It just leaves you with a hole in the floor. We chose to call ours the INDOOR POOL
Really? I loved it when I was a kid. If I won the lotto and designed a house, it would be a combination of numerous houses from my 80's childhood. One of the reasons why I love living in our raised ranch although my wife hates it.
Russell Mulcahy has always been better known for directing music videos than he ever was for cinema, even in the face of THIS. In fact he was one of THE GREATEST OMV directors of the 80s, responsible for the likes of The Buggles' "Video Killed the Radio Star", Duran Duran's "The Wild Boys", Def Leppard's "Pour Sugar On Me", Elton John's "I'm Still Standing", Ultravox's "Vienna" and Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" among MANY others ...
Hands down one of those movies that is shockingly good. It still holds up today and in a way timeless. I am excited to see the Remake and how they'll try and do it.

Originally Queen was supposed to do one song but when they were shown the scene they were supposed to do that was enough for them to ask to do the whole movie. The final fight was done on the Silver Cup studio lot which was the actual location and then a replica for the destruction of the Silver Cup sign.

*Ignore the naysayers.* Check out the sequels. (Which are just as cheesy, maybe more so, as this one) And I especially suggest the TV series. It expands (explains) the lore quite a bit.
This movie was so mucha part of my childhood i was 12 when it came out and probably 13 or 14 when we caught it on VHS its one of those movies that captures the imagination. The premise is so strong. Its one of the reasons i took up martial arts and weapon training
Thank you guys so much for your reaction! I love how you analyzed and appreciated almost all of the technical aspects of this movie including the storytelling, acting and characterization. I could never put my finger on what made me like this movie so much when I first saw it, I just knew it was like nothing I've ever seen before and so fascinating to watch. Thanks for verbalizing all my reasons.
There were a number of 80's films that didn't get the appreciation and following until years after their theatrical releases. Opening Box Office Weekend: Highlander - 7th place The Thing - 8th place Big Trouble In Little China - 12th place
If you want to continue with more Highlander reactions forget about the POS that is Highlander II: The Quickening which none of the actors liked. React to the TV series starring Adrian Paul as Duncan MacLeod, a cousin & student of Connor's born in the same village about 80 years later, and Stan Kirsch as a young thief who breaks into Duncan's art studio/home in the first episode (the only one with Connor) and is taken in by Duncan and his lady when the MacLeods realize the boy is a pre-Immortal.
Favorite guilty pleasure movie. Time travelling fantasy, swordfights, Sean Connery, Second best villain ever (and he didn't even get paid) and music by the best band ever. How can you not love it!
Fun Fact: Not only does Christopher Lambert play Raiden in the first Mortal Kombat movie, Clancy Brown also voices him in the Animated Series *’Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm.’* EDIT: Also, Coy accidentally calling Christopher Lambert Christopher Lloyd when Brenda was checking out his mug shots
As an 80's kid who grew up with this movie, I can tell you for sure... you don't have to watch Highlander 2. IF you do however, watch the Renegade Cut. It's more cohesive, but still not that good. 3 is decent. The TV show is also decent. And if you're into card games, The Highlander card game is one of my favorite. Glad to see the younger generation appreciate this movie.
Great movie! Great reaction! Clancy Brown created one of the greatest movie villains ever with this performance. None of the sequels are worth watching, but if you want more Highlander I recommend the TV series with Adrian Paul. It delves more into the lore of the immortals and is the only good spin off to come from the Highlander movie.
As someone who started work 40 years ago, there are things that stick in your mind. So I believe he would remember the time an unwed mother died, followed immediately by the death of the child.
For more cult 80’s fun with Clancy Brown, I recommend “The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across The 8th Dimension.” It is THE iconic 80’s cult classic with one of cinema’s funnest villains and just about every character actor of the time in it.
What I've always thought about is the fact that Freddie Mercury knew he was dying of an incurable disease while singing his soul out on "who wants to live forever"
Hay guys what a great reaction from 2 of my fav rejects. It's an amazing film. And I'm so glad you see past the times and enjoy the script and performances. It's one of my dad's fav films. May I highly recommend cannonball run. It's full of high profile actors, it's one of the funniest films I've ever seen and I think you guys will enjoy this.
I would love to see you guys (or anybody, really) watch The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. I haven't seen it since I was a kid, so I'm curious how it holds up. It was one of my favorites, along with Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Adventures of Milo and Otis, and The Last Unicorn.
Really enjoyed you guys watching my favorite movie! I own it in every media type available since 1985. I was worried when I saw you were reacting to Highlander that you’d find it “to 80s”. Clancy was badass!
As a Scotsman I LOVE this movie me and my buddies quote it almost as much as the South African villains of Lethal Weapon 2 when drunk. Mulachy Mul-aky (Irish) some of the fun of this film is a Scotsman played by a Swiss actor, the Spaniard played by Scotsman and the Russian (Kurgan) played by an American. And the Queen soundtrack???? ❤️🤘
Fantastic reaction, thank you. Probably my favourite movie and you did it good service. Brilliantly directed and edited, a cast that knocks it out of the park across the board, shot almost guerilla style and with minimal budget. I love it. (NB ignore the sequels. They are appalling.)
"I KNOW.....I KNOW EVERYTHNG! I AM.....I AM EVERYTHNG!!!!" A classic. Infinitely rewatchable! And just think about the power of The Prize! Top tier film. Top tier talent. Top tier story. Top tier Cinematography. You hear Lex Luthor when you see The Kergun. I hear the Kergun when I see Mr. Crabs and Luthor. Lol Anyway. Definitely a film that has a hundred interesting background facts. Spend some time looking into Highlander trivia. You won't be disappointed. Peace.
Sorry dudes, but the effects at the final quickening were not considered good if you were watching this in the 80s. But the rest of the film was so good that you would forgive them. Also, you keep mentioning the music and the 80s music but it is just one group that is in all songs and that's the Queen that wrote the music for the film. Anyway, it is nice seeing that you both liked this movie. Keep it up!
Love, love, love this movie. Part period piece, part fantasy, part music video. Always makes me weep when Heather passes away, just pure love. This and Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan are Christopher Lambert’s best work. And the Queen soundtrack, amazing. Brings me back to my childhood. Great reaction gentlemen. Thanks.
I watch the second Highlander movie because Sean Connery and Michael Ironside are in it. Oh, and the beautiful lady. I watched 3 once. I thought it was just a re-tread of 1. I watch 4 for Adrian Paul with Christopher Lambert. I own a copy of the tv show, movies 1, 2 and 4.
Your enthusiasm, appreciation and respect earned you a sub. Fun fact: In an interview, writer Greg Widen said he was thrilled when he heard that the movie was going to be shot. He thought it would be "a styrofoam castle in Maine" and unknown actors, but when he heard that it was going to shot in Scotland, using a real castle and having Sean Connery in a leading role, he couldn't believe it - it was his first script, and he had struck gold. Many years ago I met a guy who had fought in battles with the Scottish clansmen reenactors, a group known as "The Clan" (less sinister in Scotland than in the US). He told me they were pretty crazy, once uprooting a tree to use as a weapon. Greg Widen visited the Scottish set on one of the days they shot the battle. The fighters and extras were soaked through and were sitting in a pub trying to get warm. Widen entered the pub and was recognized. "That's the guy who is responsible for this!", someone yelled. "Uh-oh", Widen thought, but was greeted with an enthusiastic roar.
Such a great film to watch. I always love the commentary you guys have for these films. The one that i enjoyed most is in the scene where McCloud proves to the woman that hes immortal and then they make out and Andrew says, "to be fair he did wait a couple hundred years". No truer were spoken. Great reaction guys!
Clancey Brown chewing ALL the scenery.... love it!! No, swords aren't "30 lbs". More like 3-5 for a chonky boi. The Conan Atlantean sword is only like 6-8. Check out the Shadiversity pop culture sword breakdowns for details.
Highlander 2 directors cut (2004) is still worth watching and a much bigger budget. Entertaining for what it is. Theres 3 versions of this film, the directors cut is the best as the pacing and VFX were corrected.
Coy and Andrew is one of my favorite pairings! They complement each other very well - intelligent, detail oriented, admirer's of craft just as much as of finished product, and willing to be emotionally vulnerable. I learn things when watching their reactions and commentary

OMG YES! Now stop at this one. Never watch any more. For this franchise, There Can Be Only ONE! ... But seriously, don't watch the sequels because they ruin everything and kill the magic of the lore your mind builds as you watch this 1st film. They're terrible, they suck, and they'd be a waste of your time. This is a one film franchise. Plus the series.
I really like in the film that the immortals are so wise that they don't raise their voices to any mortal. After all, they know that even if they disagree with them on something, they will end up dancing on their graves anyway. Why should they fret?
I've been following the highlander universe forever and my favorite part of the lore revolves around the incentive to fight other immortals. Not just the prize, but the power. Every head you take has their essence and strength absorbed into you. So over the centuries you're drawn to fighting others for the power up. So good.
DO not watch the next two, watch the first episode of the tv series, then find the movie where both immortals team up, the last movie is very emotional too
funny thing about me hearing about this movie, when i saw the cover i was like "oh sh*t, Thomas Jane and Sean Connery, this could be awesome" but then while watching the movie i found out it wasn't him (because Thomas Jane didnt debut in acting until the late 90s), i still enjoyed it as much as i would have if it was Thomas Jane, Christopher Lambert did phenomenal. one of my all time favorite movies, the concept is so freakin cool, i love this movie. And "Princes of The Universe" is one of the greatest intro songs to any movie in my opinion.
Saw this in the cinema in Sydney Au back in the day and i have to say that opening monologue seemed extra special back then, there is a remake happening they start filming in jan 25 with Henry Cavill, Michael Fassbender, Jason Momoa, Scarlett Johansen and Antonio Banderas with music by Queen with Adam Lambert ( How Appropriate ) lets see if this happens
Queen were such a brilliant band and Freddie Mercury was so great at his craft that they not only did the entire soundtrack but the placement of the music throughout this movie just heightened the experience even more. I don’t know how well this movie would translate into modern times, but my God I would give anything to see this on the big screen again.

Everyone Else: I can't believe Mr. Krabs is The Kurgan!
Me: I can't believe The Kurgan is Mr. Krabs!
I'm with you on that one. 😀
TBH, The Kurgan sounds more like Mr Krabs than Lex Luther
I watched the SpongeBob pilot when it premiered. And only just this year realized that's Clancy Brown providing the voice.

Clancy Brown: ITS BETTER TO BURN OUT THAN FADE AWAY!! Classic Kurgan moment!
What makes Christopher Lambert even more impressive in this film is the fact that he is legally blind. This dude was acting in choreographed fight scenes with 30 lb broad swords unable to see more than a blur.
I mean it is impressive but I have to say, most broadswords weigh around 3lbs or sometimes even less.
Also he didn’t know any English prior to being cast in this movie.
And the fact he learnt english while filming lol
@@King-Omega- Aye, with the larger zweihander weighing between 4.5and 8 lbs
@@King-Omega- Exactly. I have no idea how people come up with swords weighing astronomically high amounts. This was most closely based on a hand and a half sword though, often referred to as a bastard sword. Broadswords were a bit shorter.
this movie was mindblowing in the cinema . as a kid we went home and made swords out of wood immediately and were sword fighting for weeks after. there can only be one !
Exactly, definitely was key in how I got interested in swords and ended up training Katana
Sean Connery recorded the opening in his bathroom which caused the echo effect.
This movie is one of my all time favorites. Everything about it is just so good. The world building the soundtrack. Glad you guys are watching!
And yet his turn as Raiden in 1995 is arguably the best Raiden ever
his english was perfectly fine there is literally videos of him talking in nere perfect english in interviews from years before highlander
@@houseofaction yeah after. Everything seen Greystoke The first Legend of Tarzan?
'Who wants to live Forever' is so much stronger with Fredie singing the first verse like in the movie.
Adam Lambert, the current lead singer of Queen, is worthy of Freddie's microphone. His performance of "Who Wants to Live Forever" at the Isle of Man concert is fantastic.
What's wrong with Brian's vocal?
@ninjabluefyre3815 it's nice and calming. I prefer the punch from Freddie. He may have had the best voice ever recorded, I don't want to wait for it.
"That'll wake you up in the morning!"
@@stevensauer8539 yeah but I think that was the older actor once grown Wallace came back.

Great reaction
Funny thing was Lambert was French, growing up in Switzerland trying to put on a Scottish accent to play a Scottish character while Connery, an actual Scot, plays an Egyptian and doesn’t bother to change his real Scottish accent for the part
The beauty of Hollywood. Get a Frenchman to play a Scotsman and perhaps the most famous Scotsman to play a Spanish Egyptian
My college roommate's dad was an OBGYN. He lost a few moms in childbirth and said he remembered every one, so that doctors remembering the case is not too much
The Highlander movie was supposed to be a one-off film. But they made a total of five movies, one animated series, two tv series, and one anime movie.
He was in Buckaroo Banzai before this.
The guy he kills in the parking garage is Peter Diamond the stunt coordinator for the original Star Wars Trilogy.
He stunt performer one of the Weequay the first alien to sall into the Sarlac pit from Jaba the Hutt's Sail Barge.
Christopher Lambert as Tarzan is another awesome movie
Yes! Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan is a beautiful movie!
Yes, this was very cool to see in the '80s. It was something not really seen until this movie. I saw it twice in the theater. ( And loved Clancy Brown!!) (And seeing Sean Connery as someone other than 007!)
ROB ROY with Liam Neeson should be considered as a reaction movie...put it on a poll and see what happens. 😊
Absolutely 💯!
Rob Roy is definitely worth watching. Tim Roth gives a film stealing performance.
"What does in-comp-e-tent mean?" " What does baffled mean" one of the most underrated but hilarious scenes in the movie. The Directors last name is pronounce Mul-kay-hee.
This is the best pairing on these watchalong vids. More pls.
Arguably the best adventure fantasy starring a Frenchman playing a Scotsman along with a Scotsman playing an Egyptian pretending to be a Spaniard!
Pitch to Sean Connery:
Studio: It’s a movie about Scottish Highlanders which will be filmed in Scotland.
What is the BEST Movie Soundtrack by a Popular Band??
FLASH GORDON with QUEEN
This one. A Kind of Magic is a stellar Queen album, with the songs from Highlander plus "One Vision" from Iron Eagle.
Queen's great on this and Flash Gordon. Always like Toto's soundtrack to the original Dune film. :)
Dune by Toto and Thief by Tangerine Dream
Easy. A Hard Days Night.
Not just an opinion but a fact.
The Shadow is so underrated, you wouldnt have the template for the 1st iron man movie without it.
This movie... for the first time... in an actual full-building theatre. It was a MAGICAL experience.
I think just Clancy Brown is “the Kurgan” .
As far as I remember they never technically made a Highlander soundtrack, is actually a Queen album A Kind of Magic
Hands down one of those movies that is shockingly good. It still holds up today and in a way timeless. I am excited to see the Remake and how they'll try and do it.

IMO Connor and Heather's story is the greatest love story ever.
To stay with her into old age is true devotion.
Originally Queen was supposed to do one song but when they were shown the scene they were supposed to do that was enough for them to ask to do the whole movie. The final fight was done on the Silver Cup studio lot which was the actual location and then a replica for the destruction of the Silver Cup sign.
The Highlander TV show was phenomenal and felt more like this movie's sequel than the other films did.

Check out the sequels. (Which are just as cheesy, maybe more so, as this one)
And I especially suggest the TV series. It expands (explains) the lore quite a bit.
No, ignore this eejit. Even the director hates the sequels
Sean Connery is my favorite Spaniard!
"I'm not Spanish! I'm Egyptian!"
This movie was so mucha part of my childhood i was 12 when it came out and probably 13 or 14 when we caught it on VHS its one of those movies that captures the imagination. The premise is so strong. Its one of the reasons i took up martial arts and weapon training
And respect for Andrew for being a Shadow fan, I watched that movie at the movie theater and I loved it, but I have never seen it again.
Excellent movie. I wish they had made more.
Opening Box Office Weekend:
Highlander - 7th place
The Thing - 8th place
Big Trouble In Little China - 12th place
There can be only One.
Fun Fact: Not only does Christopher Lambert play Raiden in the first Mortal Kombat movie, Clancy Brown also voices him in the Animated Series *’Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm.’*
EDIT: Also, Coy accidentally calling Christopher Lambert Christopher Lloyd when Brenda was checking out his mug shots
Kurgan Rocks.
The series were good and also Connor's fate by him if i remember right Duncan Kills him
@@tiagoalves2056Well, I guess they don’t need to watch the show as you’ve explained how it ends.
Imagine being a 10 year old and seeing this back in the 80's. I watched this film so many damn times growing up. All of my friends loved it, too.
How can a Scottish Japanese Egyptian swordsman be so awesome
Watch the music video for Queen’s “Princes of the Universe.” They use a couple of sets from the movie, and Christopher Lambert is in it.
There can be ONLY ONE true Highlander movie and it's this ONE!!! So don't waste your time reacting to the sequels!!!
The line is "There can be only one" no "There can only be one".
44:17 Well, he just mentioned that it was an unwed mother, which was rare back in the day, so it tracks that he might remember it.

They're terrible, they suck, and they'd be a waste of your time. This is a one film franchise. Plus the series.
The anime movie is worth it. The animation style is very Fist of the North Star. That's it though.
Do watch the TV series tho. It really expands on the lore
@@FrankFerret oh for sure, the anime is way, way better than the sequels. :)
The third one wasn't too bad but what ever you do don't watch the second
The Henry Cavill remake will be good too.
This is an underratedly great film that anyone who discovered it early, usually at Blockbuster, fell in love with.
OMG! I only knew about Cavill. Nice!
Queen were such a brilliant band and Freddie Mercury was so great at his craft that they not only did the entire soundtrack but the placement of the music throughout this movie just heightened the experience even more. I don’t know how well this movie would translate into modern times, but my God I would give anything to see this on the big screen again.
