I've gotten over 12000 views on this video. I want to ask you guys and girls something. Honestly I've made this video because I wanted to a reminder so to say of my play through of this game. I pretty much abandoned this channel, I only uploaded some videos years ago of some games that I liked. I want to ask you if any of you would like to see a Mass Effect walkthrough? The entire trilogy. I'll be honest I do like to play with trainers. For those of you that don't know it's a program that allows you to cheat. Example infinite ammo, infinite health. So most likely I'll do it with a trainer. So yeah. Would any of you be interested in such a thing? Or is RUclips already filled with hundreds of walkthroughs that you had enough of ME. Also I'm not saying I'm going to make one, I just want to know if anyone is interested at this point. Sorry for any grammatical mistakes. English is not my native tongue.
I'm not sure I'm ready for a commentary walkthrough, yet. Currently I have a lot of work to do plus you're the only only that actually replied. Don't take this the wrong way but so far it's just you that wants this. I appreciate the reply.
I don't know if some of still care at this point, but I'm back and I just uploaded the first video for ME1. My PC died and I didn't have anything to play the game on, so couldn't record either. I'll try to upload the walkthrough as quickly as I can.
Nice to see that Kasumi and Zaeed give you a bit more leeway in this final mission. When I first played this without the DLC, I had to send Mordin back or else he would've died. Additionally, I had to bring Tali and Jack to the final confrontation to ensure the defense team had enough power to hold the Collectors off without anyone dying
ME 2 the best ME for now What i love is we have to recruit unique characters across the galaxy not like in ME 1 and 2 but the large scale war in ME 3 is epic
that last scene where everyone looks at shepard and when he/she looks out the window, with the scene of the reapers coming, boy that's what made it amazing
honestly i sent tali through the shaft, garrus as the second team leader, mordin back with the crew, jack as the biotic, and either jack grunt or garrus or samara with miranda as our team
I feel like Tali would be offended if you sent anyone but her through the shaft, after all she is your most trusted tech expert, and Legion is still technically new by the time the suicide mission starts
I put off one of the loyalty missions for too long, and when it was time to face the Collectors, I didn't immediately go for them, so I could go and make sure Legion would make it through alive. I regret putting it off for so long. Rolston never got to hug his daughter...
Thanks for this video!!! Really helped me beat it with no deaths. All I lost was Gabby, Ken, and Kelly. Didn't realize they would die when I did a couple of side missions. Next playthrough I will keep them alive.
Mass Effect 2 ending is still the best. The romance before you start your suicide mission just sets the mood regardless of who it is with. I always picked Tali for this task and loved every part of it.
@@zaketirenaudbarca615 Let her do the security shaft part and that is it. Do not let her lead any of the firing squads at all. Here is the secret after you secure everyone's loyalty. 1st. Security Shaft: Kasumi, Tali, or Legion.
I just finished it for the first time and this game is unbelievable good it's so epic, if u haven't played it please do. It's a bit late cause the game is out for a while now but I've got a saying for that do: Better late then never!! Mass effect will never die...
The ending to ME2 was infinitely times greater then in ME3. If ME3 had that same option of choosing which characters you wanted to do different missions at the end, that would have been fantastic. I really, really hope ME4 (not Andromeda) lives up to the hype.
I brought Grunt with me for the final fight, always thought it was amusing it was Shepard who pulled him up instead of the other way around. (Dunno how I still got Everyone Survived though; I think you need to leave Grunt with the others so they have a higher chance to survive) Dayum Shepard you can deadlift a Krogan :D
I managed to save my entire crew, saved all my party members, and destroyed the collector base. I feel great! EDIT: Just noticed that I screwed up on the import and failed to romance who I wanted to. Got to do this mission all over again.... Edit II: Romanced Tali. Did the mission all over again and did it again with everyone surviving-agian.
S Manly If you're playing the PC version you can edit your save files for all 3 games and modify them however you want. Search on Google for Mass Effect Savegame Editor, and you'll find it.
Selenia Sparks I always hear people saying that! And that's why I searched for this video. I think maybe it's because I was quite young when I played through the trilogy.
I hear this a lot as well and i can never understand it, the Suicide Mission, is the single greatest mission in the history of bioware, hell, history of all games.
38:58 It's weird that Shepard says that even if no one of the crew died during the mission. 43:00 Also here Joker says "all survivors on board", suggesting there were casualties, even if the entire team was saved. I was really nervous when I played for the time, wondering who could died even if I picked the right choices for the tasks during the mission...
I was really surprised when I realized that my comrades, brothers in arms, friends and loved ones could actually die in a game. I had never experienced that in a game before. How often does a game make a big deal out of a (supposed) danger, only to admit afterwards that it wasn't so bad after all? But here they are gone. Forever! Because I didn't know this, I didn't save just before the suicide mission. So I couldn't just start the mission over again, this time saving (just about) everyone. At this point, however, my love for Mass Effect was still intact, so I was happy to start the adventure over again to save (just about) everyone this time.
I don't know why but the bit of music that plays after the human-reaper larva is destroyed and everyone gets up from the resulting crash landing kinda reminds of Doctor Who
How to get this ending.... 1. absolutely everyone MUST BE LOYAL! and YOUR SHIP MUST BE FULLY UPGRADED! 2 YOU MUST! select the appropriate role for everyone during the final mission and that's It If done correctly then everyone WILL survive I've already done It..
Tali died because my controller ran out of charge and spazzed out, choosing the first option(Tali) for my leader. I spent the whole mission leaving my controller on charge and trying to fight bad guys whilst leaving it on the station. It’s harder than it sounds.
Just completed Mass Effect 2 and watched this playthrough to see why I lost Legion at the door and now I see why. I chose Samara for the leader because I was afraid of losing Garrus. (everyone else survived)
+Heidi Fangirl Garrus or Miranda for squad leader, Samara or Jack for biotic field, Tali for vents, Mordin sent back with Normandy crew, and Grunt left with the others covering the door - can't go wrong. :) Just make sure you don't put Jack in charge of a squad - apparently if you do that _everyone_ dies except Jack lol.
That's the thing that a lot of people made a mistake in, emotion instead of logic, they didn't want to risk losing the character they liked the most, and ended up losing even more. This game's decision making process is probably one of the best I've seen yet.
I was able to do the whole "Everyone Survived" only one time and had never been able to duplicate it Any tips on how I can do a repeat performance of this??
@@karlsmith2570 Loyalty missions are always worth. Garrus and Miranda are good leaders, Tali is best with tech and hacking vents. Mordin is best for escorting the crew back. Jack is the absolute powerhouse biotic for the shield along with Samara.
He's actually the most recommended choice if you want to make sure everyone survives. During the final battle, while everyone who didn't go with Shepard is holding the line, Mordin is the most likely member to die.
daniel anderson me3 was the beginning of the end it didn't even feel like an rpg anymore you used to have conversations with your team and other people they took out a huge majority of that it was like talking to the dlc characters from 2 so sad
I picked Tali as my specialist and got her killed. I went back to a quick save i made 2 hours prior to the mission in order to make sure it did not happen.
39:30 yeah the conversation here... Shepard is objectively wrong, and the Illusive Man in a weird twist of writing is right. Now of course the Illusive Man ends up being wrong in the grand scheme because he has ulterior motives that he allows to get in the way of the fight against the reapers, but the writers gave characters the wrong arguments to use, because they wanted an argument of emotion and passion to trump an argument of reason, which is ridiculous because in the real world that doesn't happen.
Okay...it sounds a lot similar, but does anyone know what music exactly from the soundtrack is used during the biotic barrier sequence? Because it is seriously the most moving part of suicide mission, but it sounds different from that track, or end run. This is by far the best soundtrack and best mission in any video game I ever played. Thank you for portraying it for us. Greatest game of all time.
Before you see the crew get kidnapped by the Collectors, do all the missions and Shadow Broker DLC mission. After you get Legion, you will have only a few times to do other jobs before that happens, so make sure you do all Loyalty Missions, side quests, and anything else before then. Once the crew is taken, you have to go straight to the Collector Base to save them all before they are processed. That is how you save them.
This mission was so amazingly complicated to setup for the best outcome that they made flowcharts for it. Your crew's survival depends on how many missions you did between opening the Omega-4 Relay and going through it to start the End Game.
Considering how the trilogy ended I think the best option here would be to use the technology against the reapers...For those of you who don't know how the third game ends play it then you might see what I'm talking about
+Velociraptors of Skyrim well I mean destroying all synthetic life on the galaxy idk maybe it's because I kinda had a soft spot for legion and "spoilers" didn't want to see his sacrifice go to waste
+Mark Rogers I'm afraid I'll have to disagree. The Cerberus as a whole becoming an indoctrinated semi-husk horde led by indoctrinated Illusive Man happened exactly because they've tried to use the Reaper tech. One could argue that a complete technosystem like Collector base would be easier to research, but I don't think so.
I’ve seen the “everyone dies mission” and I am curious on how they managed to die after they kill the huge reaper and the fall on impact. Does anyone know why?
Looks like you used some cheats on this. (Infinite ammo, no damage, etc.) Not judging, just curious: Did you use console commands, coalesced edits, or a trainer? Sometimes I get the urge to play through ME2 again just for the story, and want to breeze through the combat.
+Adam Berry Sorry for the late reply. I used a trainer since I played it on PC. Depending on the game sometimes I prefer to use a trainer or some sort of cheat code. In order to not worry about ammo or health.
Anybody know the name of the OST that plays when Shepard looks out the window right before credits roll? It has the tune of the ME1 main theme but I can't find it
Ok.. I know this video is old but I finally figured something out.. listen to the end credit music.. like all of it.. I am amazed I never picked up on this before.. this and Doctor Who "action music" is UNCANNY in it's similarities.. New Who.. not Old Who.. lol There are SO MANY places in the music for both camps that they sound like each other.. I guess if it works, it works.. regardless of the where it came from... I'm just surprised nobody got sued over it...lol
Dammit what has been done to this game, I have always completed it everyone survives, now I have to take Tali with me at the end or she dies, if I have her escort back the crew Mordin dies if he isn't with me at the end, this is bullshit.
Can we just appreciate that ME1 and ME2 at least had ACTUAL final boss fights? No, Kai Leng and Marauder Shields (with their second phase Marauder Health) don't count. ME3 was a great game overall in its own right, but that and the ending(s) were two of its largest shortcomings... at least they (sort of) "fixed" that with DLCs / remasters / etc. but still... then they went on to release the abomination that was Mass Effect Andromeda. IMO the series went downhill after ME2
I notice you had a mod. During the initial assault, while Legion was in the tunnels, I happened to look at the ammo count on your rifle. 40/400. It never changed. I glanced at it a few more times, still 40/400. So I assume you used that mod so that you could get through the mission a bit easier, to make sure you didn't waste time, and disk space, saving a failed mission recording.
Notice how, in a group, Shepard is always the last one out. Last one through the door with the fire team, last one through the door with the Biotic party, and last one on the shuttle during the escape.
That’s the mark of great leadership.
Also during the Geth Dreadnought Mission in ME3. He always makes sure his squad gets out of the gun battery before leaving himself.
Not in 3 😂

I don’t know about all of you but paragon Shepard gives me some strong Captain America vibes.
Darth Revan sure a commentary walkthrough would be cool
I'm not sure I'm ready for a commentary walkthrough, yet.
Currently I have a lot of work to do plus you're the only only that actually replied. Don't take this the wrong way but so far it's just you that wants this.
I appreciate the reply.
To be honest, I would love to see you play KOTOR instead.
I recently got ME 2 and your vid helped me on my second run id love to see anything come out of this channel
I don't know if some of still care at this point, but I'm back and I just uploaded the first video for ME1.
My PC died and I didn't have anything to play the game on, so couldn't record either.
I'll try to upload the walkthrough as quickly as I can.
Nothing is the same after finishing mass effect
I always feel bad for the Collector General at the end.
Wth? If i could catch them id sell them to cerberus just to make experiments on them. They stole my crew , blow up my ship in the beginning.
@@ladyselin35 that was because they were under control of the reapers, in its last moments it was self aware
The choice in this mission is more matter than any Telltale games.
43:31 never been so happy to see Joker in my life. And that’s saying something, I’m always happy to see him.
Greatest ending ever played in my life. Someday I will tell my grand children I went to the center of the galaxy and live. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Garrus shaking his head in agreement when Jack disagrees with Miranda always gets me.
ME 2 the best ME for now
What i love is we have to recruit unique characters across the galaxy not like in ME 1 and 2 but the large scale war in
ME 3 is epic
11 years later, still one of the greatest endings in any game to date.
that last scene where everyone looks at shepard and when he/she looks out the window, with the scene of the reapers coming, boy that's what made it amazing
44:11 - 44:27Chills every time.
I always choose to destroy the base and this game is the best game I've ever played and seen
When Shephard said "Give us a minute EDI" - I always try to prolong the following fight just to hear the music.
38:33 OMG LEGION ARE YOU OK????
He's fine he just needs a nap.
He’s just sleeping
He clapped those cheeks before clapping collectors
Shepard learnt from Garrus. He always keeps a last shot before popping out the thermal clip...
And STILL the best mission in gaming.
honestly i sent tali through the shaft, garrus as the second team leader, mordin back with the crew, jack as the biotic, and either jack grunt or garrus or samara with miranda as our team
Did the same exact thing
I feel like Tali would be offended if you sent anyone but her through the shaft, after all she is your most trusted tech expert, and Legion is still technically new by the time the suicide mission starts
I put off one of the loyalty missions for too long, and when it was time to face the Collectors, I didn't immediately go for them, so I could go and make sure Legion would make it through alive. I regret putting it off for so long.
Rolston never got to hug his daughter...
Garrus and Tali are my squad for every final mission in the trilogy. It’s aooooo awesome
Thanks for this video!!! Really helped me beat it with no deaths. All I lost was Gabby, Ken, and Kelly. Didn't realize they would die when I did a couple of side missions. Next playthrough I will keep them alive.
On of the. best SF games, even 10 years later!
Mass Effect 2 ending is still the best. The romance before you start your suicide mission just sets the mood regardless of who it is with.
I always picked Tali for this task and loved every part of it.
I'm tryna figure out how tali dies goin to the ship and I have her loyalty and did everything for the ship
Too bad it did with panderomeda.
Darth Revan I play the 360 version.
Now I'm playing the PC version. I have everyone, including the DLC characters on board.
Still totally worth it
In the end, if you save everyone then ME 3 is impressive to see.
THIS IS SO COOL!
I played through the entire Mass Effect trilogy but for some reason I have no memory of the suicide mission!
It was 11 years ago!
All of the Colonists that were taken by the Collectors die there.
This has to be the best final mission ever in video game history ☝️☝️
I remember my first playthrough. I got everyone killed. Thank God I played one again and did everything right to second time.
Jacob and Miranda both volunteer for roles they can't do
I was really surprised when I realized that my comrades, brothers in arms, friends and loved ones could actually die in a game.
Just make sure you don't put Jack in charge of a squad - apparently if you do that _everyone_ dies except Jack lol.
almost the same but I lost Miranda to
That's the thing that a lot of people made a mistake in, emotion instead of logic, they didn't want to risk losing the character they liked the most, and ended up losing even more.
This game's decision making process is probably one of the best I've seen yet.
@@E101ification I'm gonna go with your method as it is very effective
*shudder* Oculus, the Collectors' Drone-like Guard Dogs, god I hate those things, the evil bludgers from hell beyond the Omega 4 Relay, yikes!
I had Tali go through the vent, and Mordin escort the crew back.
Get all upgrades and loyalty for the team in order to help everyone survive no matter whom is leading or helping who. Except put legion in the vent.
When I played through the first time , Saved all crew and party members apart from Legion who i did not do the loyalty mission for.
I was able to do the whole "Everyone Survived" only one time and had never been able to duplicate it
Any tips on how I can do a repeat performance of this??
@@karlsmith2570 Loyalty missions are always worth. Garrus and Miranda are good leaders, Tali is best with tech and hacking vents. Mordin is best for escorting the crew back. Jack is the absolute powerhouse biotic for the shield along with Samara.
Best mission and soundtrack in mass effect
Ya know I always chose Mordin to escort the crew back to the ship cause he's really more of a scientific/medical expert than a field soldier.
He's actually the most recommended choice if you want to make sure everyone survives. During the final battle, while everyone who didn't go with Shepard is holding the line, Mordin is the most likely member to die.
@@vine6904 Yeah I can understand that.
I personally used Jack when I needed protection from those weird bugs. I was worried about her the entire time.
conpare this to mass effect 3/andromeda, ending and you realise they fucked up in later games
daniel anderson me3 was the beginning of the end it didn't even feel like an rpg anymore you used to have conversations with your team and other people they took out a huge majority of that it was like talking to the dlc characters from 2 so sad
I lost 4 guys (Kasumi, Grunt, Thane and Tali) in this mission.
I picked Tali as my specialist and got her killed. I went back to a quick save i made 2 hours prior to the mission in order to make sure it did not happen.
When i first played this, I was not expecting to be performing a Reaper Abortion.
Greatest game of all time.
it's minimally modified "Suicide mission" soundtrack I believe
It's called the Long Walk
+TheHypersniper0812 thank you
Anyone else notice that at 8:28, Miranda is talking over the coms like she’s on the bridge despite being right next to shepherd
#tfw you realize mass effect is the story of how the Ampebas fought the humans, and won.
I did it to but here mine
Legion-tech
Jack-Shield
Garrus-The Defenders Busy
Mordin-Escort The group back
And Thane & Legion-The Human Reaper
I don't understand how my crew members died except the doctor ...
Well, at least all my other actually relevant (sorry) crewmembers are alive
Considering how the trilogy ended I think the best option here would be to use the technology against the reapers...For those of you who don't know how the third game ends play it then you might see what I'm talking about
It wasn't that bad....
+Velociraptors of Skyrim well I mean destroying all synthetic life on the galaxy idk maybe it's because I kinda had a soft spot for legion and "spoilers" didn't want to see his sacrifice go to waste
Mark Rogers True, that is true. I have a bit of a soft spot for Legion as well.
@@HTWW just as legion said "by using using the technology of the reaper we are evolving on their path and design, We will do it on OUR path"
To get the absolute best ending, you must send Jacob to the vents.
I’ve seen the “everyone dies mission” and I am curious on how they managed to die after they kill the huge reaper and the fall on impact. Does anyone know why?
UsuLly due to loyalty and whom did you chose for each mission. Choose unloyal friends and people die.
+Darth Revan That is really understandable, I wouldent wanna die in the middle of filming a 58 minutes video...
Darth Revan wait what cheat code did u use? I'm thinking about getting the trilogy for PC and the cheats could be fun when I do it on insane mode!
Make sense..sometimes when I want to just immerse into the universe I use cheats, even if it is very rare
Gods we were strong then
Anybody know the name of the OST that plays when Shepard looks out the window right before credits roll? It has the tune of the ME1 main theme but I can't find it
it is called the normandy reborn
Thanks!
8:24 Miranda, why are you using the radio when you are right next to Shepard?
1:38. he sits her down on the control panel. she's butt dialing everything.
46:29 You can see the illusive man was already indoctrinated
I lost Samara and half of the Normandy crew
You know, it makes no narrative sense that only a small group is seen leaving the ship. Better to have them all follow the second team.
Also, why does the bubble need to be so big? There's a whole upper area that could be cut out.
It's sad tnhat Mirada wasn't more of an EXO in Mass Effect 2
SUCH A GREAT GAME!!!
Dammit what has been done to this game, I have always completed it everyone survives, now I have to take Tali with me at the end or she dies, if I have her escort back the crew Mordin dies if he isn't with me at the end, this is bullshit.
This must be a super easy difficulty I remember fighting the reaper was pain in the ass on the hardest diff...
IMO the series went downhill after ME2
Seems like Jack has a far easier time with the barrier than Samara
I notice you had a mod. During the initial assault, while Legion was in the tunnels, I happened to look at the ammo count on your rifle. 40/400. It never changed. I glanced at it a few more times, still 40/400. So I assume you used that mod so that you could get through the mission a bit easier, to make sure you didn't waste time, and disk space, saving a failed mission recording.
lol garrus to lead the 2nd team, fuck yea!
That was fairly epic.
