    This second episode features Robert Langevin. In 2000, Mr. Langevin joined the New York Philharmonic as principal flute, in the Lila Acheson Wallace Chair. Most recently, Mr. Langevin held the Jackman Pfouts principal flute chair of the Pittsburgh Symphony and was an adjunct professor at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Prior to his appointment to the Pittsburgh Symphony, Mr. Langevin served as associate principal of the Montreal Symphony for thirteen years, playing on more than thirty recordings. As a member of Musica Camerata Montreal and L’Ensemble de la Société de Musique Contemporaine du Québec, he helped premiere many works, including the Canadian premiere of Pierre Boulez’s Le Marteau sans maître. In addition, Mr. Langevin has performed as soloist with Quebec’s most distinguished ensembles and has recorded many recitals and chamber music programs for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He also served on the faculty of the university of Montreal for nine years. Mr. Langevin is currently on the faculties of The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, and the Orford International Summer Festival.

    The Musician's Craft est une série d'entretiens avec des musiciens de renom, au cours desquels leur philosophie et leurs stratégies en tant que musiciens et interprètes sont discutées en détail. Cette série est animée par Louna Dekker-Vargas.
    Ce deuxième épisode présente Robert Langevin. En 2000, M. Langevin a rejoint l'Orchestre philharmonique de New York en tant que flûte solo, dans la chaire Lila Acheson Wallace. Plus récemment, M. Langevin a occupé la chaire de flûte solo Jackman Pfouts de l'Orchestre symphonique de Pittsburgh et a été professeur adjoint à l'université Duquesne de Pittsburgh. Avant sa nomination à l'Orchestre symphonique de Pittsburgh, M. Langevin a été premier associé de l'Orchestre symphonique de Montréal pendant treize ans et a participé à plus de trente enregistrements. En tant que membre de Musica Camerata Montreal et de L'Ensemble de la Société de Musique Contemporaine du Québec, il a participé à la création de nombreuses œuvres, dont la première canadienne du Marteau sans maître de Pierre Boulez. De plus, M. Langevin s'est produit comme soliste avec les plus grands ensembles du Québec et a enregistré de nombreux récitals et programmes de musique de chambre pour la Société Radio-Canada.     Honestly speaking, he wouldn't even pass the first round at the Kobe Flute Competition. The standards are very high now. There are high school aged girls in Japan and Korea who are much better.
