Some of the Dawn Brigade stat-screens like Edward are still wrong, because my editor ripped them straight from their respective episodes, my bad about that. The later ones should all be correct though.

Oof. Big character roster is big.
@@xanderszunsol9963 Wrath and Resolve are both nerfed from FE9 (Wrath only activates at 30% health, Resolve activates at 50% yet only boosts skill and speed). Taking full advantage of that combo involves keeping Nephenee at really low health, which is risky and, if she's been trained well, doesn't happen all that often - you can get her the same amount of mileage just by forging her lances with max mt and crit or buying her some Killer Lances from Part 2. Nephenee without transfers is also mind-bogglingly bad, since she becomes too slow to double and too frail to effectively tank. She's probably your worst unit in Part 2 and just becomes overshadowed by monsters like Ike, Haar, Titania and Mia in Part 3. She can made good with heavy favoritism, but there's much less BEXP to go around on Maniac mode and it takes a lot more of it to level up (hence why bases do matter, since capping things quicker means you can patch up the weaker stuff sooner). Danved can at least use Astrid or Geoffrey's paragon to get himself up to speed quicker, which Neph can't do unless you wanna steal Paragon from the Dawn Brigade, which they need a lot more.
Not sure why you think so poorly of Aran, hes actually really good for the dawn brigade, and can hold down choke points with the best of them.
i guess I am kinda off topic but does anybody know a good site to watch newly released series online?
An entire marathon of "They would've been better if they had more availability" Compilation.
Yeah, a lot of the problems come from how Part 3 is structured. If Part 3 was mostly told from the Dawn Brigade instead of the Greil Mercenaries, those growth units like Laura and Edward would really get to shine because they would get the time they need for those growths to kick in.
Here's my pitch to get more DB usage in part 3. Make 3-8 be about the DB pursue the GM through the caves (because obilgatory lava map) instead of Septimus. In the logic of the story, Begnion already views the Daein troops as disposable anyways. Micaiah can object at first and then Taurineo tells her that Pelleas has ordered to completely follow the Senate's orders. After the battle's done, she withdraws because the caves are too dangerous as it kills most of the Daein yellow units. 3-11 might need to be a DB chapter too, although that bridge will have to be lost by cutscene anyways. Maybe make it a hit-and-run timed chapter where the DB fight a scouting party instead of the main force.
Availability is overrated anyway, it only really matters if you're actually good during that time. I don't think people seriously consider Brom and Ilyana as better units than Jill and Nailah just because they're playable in more chapters.
@@GIR177 I think its means that Theyd be much better WITH availability, more time to grow and such. But with the lack of time to be trained and such they end up shit because they come back later all the same when it could really help to have been trained more
@Hollow Shell That's exactly why I like this game. You gotta work with whatever it gives you.
I love how this is a ranking factor for better units later on, but doesn't buy points for Ilyana for example. She is the most available unit of the whole game! This makes growing her much more useful.
And Aran caps early, so he can be promoted early as well. He is available in some of the hardest DB Chapters of the game. A tanky soldier is a nice addition.
yeah mangs and mekkah rating units is always a LP highlight, mainly when mekkah has to argue with mangs lol
I love the discussion of bad units, how inevitably it gets mentioned how you would invest in a unit to make them usable anyway. And then Vika comes along and the answer is; well, if you hack Radiant Dawn into a completely different game, and remove a bunch of things that make her bad, she's one of the best units.
The biggedt thing against her...her availability.
Yeah and i kinda lost my 1st paragon for most of the story.
@@XLuxtra I know Vika can make anyone a feathery (cause she's not a furry), but I've never understood why she was in the game. She's not a carry-over from PoR, she's not ridiculously OP in part 1 like Nailah or Muarim, and she does dick-all for the story. She gets nervous around Micaiah. That's all her character is! She doesn't even get poisoned by Izuka like Muarim did even though he could do both.
Well vika exists just so we can have a female Raven in the game, just like that
We need a goth big titty raven gf
Or you could abuse one of the infinite xp spots and get her to the point where she can kill things in part 4 and then she's amazing. It does take forever but worth abusing if you want a massively busted initially
At this point, mangs and mekkkah are going to review every single unit in the series
I’m waiting for them to play through Awakening and rate all the Spotpass bonus units
Rip PoR laguz royals (even though they probably wouldn't be ranked like lehran)
@@victikirby15
Idk how much you're joking but jesus that'd take forever lol. If I remember correctly, Mekkkah has never played Awakening.
Rogue Slushy I don’t expect them to rate the bonus spotpass units. Maybe the six unique ones, but not all 120 past characters
Let's hope so!
The plot point that the Dawn Brigade is severely outnumbered against the Greil Mercenaries and the Laguz Alliance really hampers down Dawn Brigade so much. Plot-wise, it greatly showed how much of a desperation Pelleas and Daein had to go through. Gameplay-wise, it fucked everyone in Dawn Brigade over.
If RD had sidequest/side chapters, several units lagging behind could be brought up to the forefront as viable units.
If we had chapters about Tormod's group freeing Laguz slaves in Begnion after Part I, or Lucia fighting alongside the Crimean Knights to subdue the remaining forces trying to restart the rebellion, a bunch of characters could have had a chance to be more useful.
But alas, such is the issue with the quantity over quality that RD's roster poses...
But for crying out loud, they did Astrid so dirty in this game, both in gameplay and story!

ALMOST 5 HOURS GOOD GOD
well, I know what to watch while doing homework now
I'm one of those weird people who invested a LOT of time getting Micaiah leveled up a lot because I always like leveling lords for the dramatic effect of lords at the helm, lol. Her sacrifice is also great for leveling her and staff users, so yeah.
same here😁
I think they put cancel on Leonardo to teach the player about how skills transfer. Cancel is most effectively utilized by other Dawn Brigade units, so transferring it from Leo to Edward or someone is a good tutorial on everything about skills.
too bad they didn't really a good job of communicating that in the game 🤧
@@mynipples9327 did you transfer Leonardo's cancel to someone else?

So many units feel like 1 star or 5 stars lol.
I feel like more were 2 star than 1 star, but yeah I get what you mean. Radiant Dawn has a really, really imbalanced cast, and the better that a few units are, the worse comparatively other units are. Like Jill or Haar which are the best users of your investment, while other units in their respective parties only become good after you give them a bit (or in some cases a LOT) of investment, which is just simply not worth giving them over the small collection of amazing units.
Like google play reviews
LoudWaffle eh, I think an imbalanced cast is better than a cast where everyone is good. Maybe with the exception of 3 houses because units still manage to be fairly unique through combat arts or spell lists, and a bunch of other shit.
truth i mean radiant dawn has many OPAF units and many...ehh go sit in the corner units
take a shot everytime mekkah mentions the speedrun
I did the Glare-Priest trick to train up Fiona, and she turned out amazing, enough to bring her to the Endgame. It also made the Dawn Brigade chapters in part 3 a lot easier, mostly by virtue of having another unit that was actually viable. That being said, I'm never doing that again because it just takes so much time.
4 HOURS
Oof
So many units
It should be noted that a lot of these reviews are specific to a hard mode playthrough and that in most normal playthroughs, MOST units are viable. you have a few dumpster-fire characters, but you can take almost anyone to the tower with no serious issue, that's just the nature of the Tellius games.
Unit Reviews/Tier Lists are usually done on the highest difficulty, because that's where the units differentiate themselves the most.
to be honest so far i have only played the game on easymode because wihle i love fe im really not all that good at it and i can say that on easy pretty much everyone can be used without to much trouble
Poor Micaiah; she was my MVP the first time I played the game, and always end up in podium
This video got me through my shift at work, thank you! Lol
Imagine Mangs and Mekkah doing a RD Tier list...
I said it before and I will say it again. Shinon is 4 star unit.
Shinon is a 4 star unit. He is easily by far the strongest player turn non Royals unit in the game, with access to stupidly good bows and crossbows and longbows, and double bow makes him a killing machine more than anyone even with minimum training. The issue of not being able to counter in part 3, well just don't put him in front of everyone. Besides, crossbows allows him to counter in melee should you really desire, and he still hits quite a bit with it. Not attacking one or two units back is totally fine for how much raw power he provides to the party when it really matters. Shinon is fast, hits like a truck, has plenty of range option, and has incredible defense. And being part of Greil Mercenaries, he has great availability. And he already comes with high level and bases, you don't need to baby him. No way he is a 3 star unit.
The big issue with your whole argument. Player phase only. It doesnt matter if he has beastly stats. If he cant retaliate on enemy phase he can do only 1 thing
Yeah I agree he is a 4 star unit, his ability to consistently ensure the death of any enemy unit with minimal investment better than any other GM unit is so valuable, and as I recall he is crucial for low turn counts in some maps. Then you factor in that he is one of best endgame units and I feel a 3 star ranking is underrating him.
I think shinon is 3 1/2 stars because when gets the double bow the game is all ready over and crossbows are weak due to not taking your strength into account and him not retailing on enemy’s really hurts him in the part4 rout maps
On Medium I had Ilyana take on the black knight on the chapter in act 3 where Zihark comes back, and she crit and beat him.
Zihark once capped every single stat except luck. He’s definitely my favorite Sword user in the Tellius games. I love him and Ilyana together.
*edit* also Oliver was my main staff/light magic user and he was great. Flawless beauty always triumphs
This is like Chuggaconroy’s assessments of Pokémon lmao.
Over 4 hours. Hoo Boy, Prepare for a lot of memes.
DAMN STRAIGHT
I love RD, but god damn the availability is way too sparse for 50% of the roster.
Tormods’s Gang should join Ike in 3-2 when everyone else does.
Geoffrey, Lucia & Elincia should join in Part 3 with the rest of the CRK
Tauroneo & Fiona should be available in most of the DB chapters.
So many missed opportunities to give characters more play time.
4+ HOURS?!? WHY AM I EV...
*"Radiant Dawn"*
Okay, eff it. I'mma watch this whole thing!
The true reason these let's plays are amazing
Sees notification, looks like my drive to work is covered for the next week 👌
This video got me through one of the most painful moments of 2020. My back ached so badly that I couldn't even stand up half the time. I was also bleeding profusely from a wound.
Nothing better than hearing Mangs and Mekkah talking about FE units for almost 5 hours while I'm doing my homework :)
Haar was amazing I dont know about Jill I even tried to upgrading her but she just died a lot so I didnt use her. In comparison to Haar shes like a 2 star to me. Might just be because I switched teams with her to early on that messed her up
Any unit is a 2 star compared to Haar
Jill is a top 5 unit in the game, she is in the best class in the game and has good stats and makes use of investment better than any unit in the game. You can promote her in part 1 and give her beastfoe to shred the laguz in part 3 and she just keeps snowballing. It’s plausible you got stat screwed but she’s probably as good as Ike on average. (And even better in part 4 and 5 game due to her massive mobility advantage)
Edit: Granted Ike’s a lot better at base and Jill takes a bit to get rolling
If you keep Jill with the Dawn Brigade (which I’d highly recommend), she WILL carry them through the difficult chapters.
@@twigz3214 so it a case where investing in character is fine ?
@@theflashgordon193 (this is a tad late my b lol) Anyway investing in any character is fine since any unit can be made viable eventually with enough investment. If you’re talking about just wanting to use a character you want to anyone can be invested in and eventually become useful. In the Context of Radiant Dawn Jill’s class is just extremely strong with her having good speed, strength, durability and the best mobility in the game while also having the best weapon type. Giving her investment is good because she has good growths so it gets them rolling faster and she makes great use of it because her having the best mobility and weapon type lets her use the investment more effectively than anyone else. But personally I don’t like just investing solely in her but I usually like giving my flier(s) an angelic robe personally because it helps them get a lot more done and give them less limitations. I also like giving the early peg knight the 1st str stat booster because it helps their dmg output a lot. If it’s for fun invest in anyone but Jill uses it well because her class is inherently just better than everyone else’s.
Edit: typo
So what exactly was IS thinking with the Dawn Brigade?
I don't mind them being weak since they're starving on the streets, but they should have been given chapters in part 3 where they can kill bosses.
they were thinking "haha ike good, let's give him the whole game"
no i'm not still salty what ever makes you think that
I think it kind of contributes to the narrative. The scrappy underdogs were able to overturn an occupation from the strongest country on the continent, and stood up to the laguz alliance against all odds despite losing. I mean, all the returning units have an entire war under their belts, and people like Geoffrey, Kieran, and the Greil mercenaries have a lot of experience fighting outside wars
It is cool from a narrative standpoint but the DB as a whole falls off too hard in the late game when the GM provide way more competent units.
Doesn't really help either that among the DB only Micaiah and Sothe really have screen time after part 1, not counting occasional base conversations
@@Zastralord DB has godward. :p
I feel RD could've had 5 or so more chapters to counteract the availability for some of these units. It was actually difficult as a Tellius series lover to see strong, OP units like Lucia and Elincia used for 1 or 2 chapters then they go away for so long, or even how the Dawn Brigade falls off way too fast in part 3 because they're unused for so long.
The key to defecting Jill and Zihark in Radiant Dawn is to do it in Part 3 Ending: From Pain: Awakening. This way the Dawn Brigade has them as long as they need them, and the Greils can take them to further expand their growth during this particular chapter.
I usually make Jill defect in 3-7 because I want that a support with Haar
@@bigbigchungusbigchungusbig1117 that is a way to do it, the problem with that is it denies the Dawn Brigade an EXTREMELY helpful unit. Which isn't good for them. They kinda require her for situations not going pear shaped in several chapters. So I leave her. But it isn't impossible to make do without her, that said she is inarguably needed much more with the Dawn Brigade.
IS were doing some crazy drugs when they made the stat growths for this game. Volug has a 90% luck growth, Meg has a 65% speed growth, Nolan has the speed and skill growths of 60% and 70% respectively...at least it was nice to see Knights/Generals with decent speed and resistance stats/growths and fighters that don't get ridiculously low speed or skill bases and growths.
Shame this game had to have so many units that are absolute detriments in any battle encounter even on their recruitment chapter akin to FE6.
Having unbalanced characters with fancy/bad growths is honestly what made me love these games honestly
Unbalanced cast = way more interesting, much less homogeneous. If things are going to be interesting they have to be different and to be different they have to vary in power, power curve, ease of use, and even availability in this case.
Mekkah talking about Goldie's videos make me so nostalgic. Hard to find these days
Only use for laura is to feed exp into micaiah - sacrifce to heal dawn brigade and then heal micaiah, Micaiah is a forced unit so making her as viable as possible helps.
1:15:00 I also love the A support with Haar. They just wipe everything out. I like their ending too.
issue with radiant dawn is that it feels like everything is kinda pointless whend endgame start
as in there's 2 type of characters:
->broken characters either through being good + broken support (the earth duo from dawn brigade) or being broken on their own like ike
-> characters who can't compete with the broken ones and since the laguz kings take so many slots and you're forced to take micaiah... well RiP
Still the bear fire emblem game to date the new ones just done have the same strategy
@@Bloodshed778 oh I love this game yeah. But man it feels bad when you made a mediocre unit work and do a lot of carrying in a part just to be arguably 1 bad choice to bring along in endgame even at max level
I think with the way the Dawn Brigade is routed, Nolan is probably one if not the best units. Getting him promoted before part 1 and by the time part 3 starts for the team he can abuse crossbow with beastfoe and equip vantage while having him team up with another earth affinity like volug he will be orko all the laguz unjts netting him so much exp by the time 3 end game.
By the way, don't know if you knew this (only at Fiona right now in the video), but Imbue works on Elincia, so basically she heals for A LOT every turn if you give Imbue to her.
It makes me happy to hear them say even remotely good things about Micaiah. Probably my fav character in the series and easily my fav lord on a conceptual level, at least. Too bad she’s so cumbersome as a unit. On my first playthrough I actually dumped a ton of exp on her and fed her a bunch of kills so by the time I got to Ashera, she was maxed out at 20/20/20 and had capped EVERY stat... and she was still inferior to Haar and Ike. Feels bad man
DAMN RIGHT SHES FUCKING INFERIOR TO IKE AND HAAR!
I once dedicated a playthrough to using Ilyana, and she wound up getting the holy'd up thunder tome and an unlimited use Bolting tome as well (which... that was hard to get, as well)
Anyways, the point is, that run was hilarious in endgame and also an absolute meme.
Can we please get some more unit review compilations? I'm watching all of the ones on your channel and I would love some more of these!
Welp, there goes my afternoon
I love all the characters in this game. Besides a few super bad ones. Mostly the cats. Other bad ones like Meg and Fiona are pretty great, just horrible situation.
I would love to play a mod that randomized characters. The order of them. So you might start the game with renning as a level 1 cavalier instead of micaiah. That would be cool
I can just imagine someone playing that just getting all normal Laguz's for Part one. Like instead of the Dawn Brigade you get Vika, Lethe, Ranulf, and so on and it's just awful.
@@nahte123456 I mean, if you only get Laguz you could also have people like Caineghis and Tibarn
great news : somebody made one of those randomizers! You can find the post on reddit if you search on the fire emblem subreddit. The thread is called [FE10] fire emblem radiant dawn randomizer
@@nahte123456 Vika and Ranulf are good though
NinjaCell no. Cat gauge is all I need to say about Ranulf, Vika is available for like, 3 chapters before part 4. Also I think if skills were randomized random laguz could get formshift, so the early game with a laguz squad wouldn’t be as awful.
I'm one of those people that irrationally loves aran, he was always a beast when I used him but I always spent all the time capping him out
I use him more than Nephenee. Nephenee never gets strength in any of my playthroughs anymore (even with a killer lance, she can't kill with two critical hits).
I like to use him as a tank, even though spd is low his Def makes him really good at tanking tigers
So did I, it's because the first Fire emblem I ever played was Shadow dragon and I was annoyed I couldn't get a soldier for myself. Then the second one I played was Radiant dawn and suddenly I get this Soldier in a cool black armor and with every promotion he looked cooler... he was also shit mind but I just really love the soldier class.
20:00 nihil is very important to Ike lawl to unlock a secret story
Sacrifice doesn't reduce her HP by 10, it reduces her HP either until she's at 1 or until the ally reaches full HP.
I still can't get over Mekkah comparing Meg to Nephenee....
Why compare adorable and wholesome to a thot. Meg is the the clear winner
I mean I wouldn’t call Nephenee a thot hough. They’re both cute, people just can’t handle the thiccness
@@RosemaryWitch4 because nephenee can actually kill people and has strength you fool.
Just started playing radiant dawn i plan on watching this ias i progress to avoid spoilers. I agree with what you said about edward but leonardo is working out for me. Especially when you pair with Edward.
I agree not comparing units of the same class that show up in different chapters. It’s based on what each unit contributes and if they’re a PITA to grow.
Ngl, I would say this game is one of the fire emblem games where Archers are actually kinda op because if there 2nd promotion of Marksman where they can attack from 3 blocks
i think they just dont like archers.
(1y later, lmao), archers aren't very good in RD because there's just too many enemies. Instead of powerhouses like Ike and Sothe (early game) who can survive and ORKO when ganged up 20v1, archers will kill one mf and then get either overrun while dealing 0 dmg back or will force you to always attack behind an actual good unit
@andreescalona8902 Yes, but charecters like Ike and Sothe wont always kill enemys in one hit, so having the potential to have a melee fighter, a Mage and a archer, it looks cool and you feel like a stradegist.
@@Blaze15756 yeh. also, bone of my favorite features of RD are ledges, where an archer and a tank can just hold waves of enemies almost forever while the rest of the cast continue completing the map. feels like real war, it's quite fun!
4 and a half hours of Mang reviews? HELL YEAH!
On my Hard/Maniac Playthrough of Radiant Dawn I trained up Lethe gave her adept and a Satori sign for her mastery skill and supported her up with Zihark, she could dodge tank like a beast (literally) and could one round Dragon Laguz in the Dheginsea chapter. Laguz gems took care of her poor transformation gauge in the tower.
I found Rolf and Shinon work well in tandem, I kept the master and apprentice together cos deep down they love each other
well it was a rain day so a good thing to watch. who else finish the whole thing other than me?
a reverse recruitment of this game starting with lehran would be awesome, but with stats fixed.
A really nice feature I miss in other Fire Emblem games is Shove. With Laura, I grinded on the Laguz stages and got her to Lv20 Saint. I then used her to kill Ike! XD
"Why would you seek ME out?" -Ike
love this unit rating compilation and the others, I have watched them more than once. The one thing really bugs me in this one are the comments about the differences on the Rolf's Bows. While these bows share the same name the lore behind the two are different making them different weapons. The one in FE9 was made by Shinon to help Rolf master archery while the one in FE10 was made by Rolf. The FE10 bow being made by Rolf is also a nice attention to detail too since in his C-support with Shinon he gives Shinon his first attempt at making a bow (it sucked), in the B after having a lesson from Shinon his next attempt was an improvement but not by much and in the A though it doesn't focus on bow making does flesh out what Shinon's "choice" to teach Rolf archery meant to Rolf and how much that Rolf's Bow means to Rolf.
just beat radiant dawn yesterday! Can't wait to see how good my favorite character Meg is!
oh...
:(
it is interesting seeing how people more familiar with the series see characters though, there's a lot of things I didn't know about like growth rates etc.
Based Meg appreciator
5 stars black knight. just to add How is Shinion not 5 stars lol I killed everyone with this dude double bow blessed gg. He also dodged like every attack. Also when I beat they gave him the number one spot so that might be why I feel that way
I think the problem is snipers were underwhelming in general in Radiant dawn. Most enemies aren't weak to it and the ones that are are just weak in general. Plus, not a whole hellova lot of good bow options. Sure they have range, but they lack the MT on them compared to PoR or other fire emblems in general.
Ummm, you understand how unit ratings work right? Shinon’s only option to 1 range are crossbows which aren’t too great. Only killing 1 guy per turn isn’t nearly as good as someone that 2 rounds with 1-2 range. And the black knight is available for 3 chapters lol. No way he’s on the level of Jill and Haar.
@@Bunnymafia8150 NO dude, Shinion is broken in my playthrough XD You can put him on the frontline and he is just better than his appreatince. Like much better lmao.
Edit: Shinon is broken tbh and is much better than Virion in Awakening. Virion just kinda sucks
@@ccpmustfall6445 ok first of all, I wasn’t comparing shinon to Rolf, and I dunno why you got defensive with him being better than Virion like he was part of the discussion. I also agree shinon is good, but he’s not a frontline unit and he’s not good for the whole game. When you first get him he’s the only person besides Mia and Ike that can double, which is a pretty huge asset. And lack of 1 range isn’t a huge deal when you can’t one round everything with a hand axe or javelin. But you can’t tell me shinon is good in part 4, it’s all route maps besides the Izuka one, and killing one guy of player phase doesn’t cut it when there’s 50 fucking enemies to kill every map.
@@Bunnymafia8150 He's is good for the whole game trust me. Because of double bow, he can annhilates anyone who comes up to him XD
And in part4 is pretty much him, gatrie, Ike, Mia, Titania carrying the whole team lol. Im not sure how you use shinon. Im in hard mode as well. Shinon can keep avoiding like mad and one round enemies as well.
Do people not reset abuse bonus xp in path of radiance? Like I get not doing it for a legit run, but if the goal is transfers it seems like the move.
Unless you're boring and doing it for LTC reasons, generally it'd be kinda cheap to just inflate all the old characters when theres a bunch of new ones that dont get transfers. It kinda ruins the fun, so its nicer when transfers are just sprinkled around here and there instead
In the description, Kyza and Lyre's timestamps are swapped.
Is it the Dawn Crimean Mercenaries Alliance?
I used Kurthnaga and am proud of it
Using a Black Dragon was my dream since I saw them in por for the first time and it was fckin awesome

I should know this cuz I beat this game but does this game not have a weapon triangle or is it just super inconsequential?
Maniac Mode removes it
Rundas From Halo thanks
2:12:56 "[Heather] is not a front line combat unit, nor will she ever be one."
Yeah, about that...
Heather good
She was one of my best units and dodged everything
I don't have this game, but I read that leveling up with the extra experience at the base doesn't give you all the stats you get leveling up through fighting. So if you go up to 99 and not level up and get the last point in battle, do you get all the new stats?
imafreakinninja12 a normal level uses the growth rates, so a character can level everything, nothing or just a few stats based on the growths. Bonus Experience levels are usually considered “better” because they always give 3 stats, usually the ones with the highest growths. Also if you have stats capped (f.e. You have max skill) you can use bonus experience to level up your stats with lower growth rates because the game has 1 less stat to take into account when giving the 3 stats. Hopefully this makes it more clear haha
@@youri7229 So it always gives out three stat increases? Is there a way to know when to use bonus experience for what character?
imafreakinninja12 1. Yup, it does!
2. Usually you use bonus exp when a character has capped atleast one stat so you can patch up another important one with a lower growth % (think of aran’s speed growth or meg’s strength growth), or you can just give characters xp with it, though on the harder difficulties this can be seen as “wasteful” as it uses a lot of BEXP, and you get a lot less than on easy and normal.
*Side note: To give a laguz 1 exp with BEXP it costs 1,5x their level, this is a different formula from human characters*
On my first playthrough, Gatrie was the first unit I promoted to third tier.
Almost 5 hours...I’m gonna need a bigger bucket for popcorn.
Given how popular Mangs and Mekkah's unit reviews seem to be, I am honestly shocked that of all the Mangs & Mekkah hacks, the majority don't seem to lead into unit review cutscenes.
Granted, they would probably have to be condensed and part of the thrill of playing certain units would likely be lost if Mangs and Mekkah in game just spell out "This sword locked, foot unit with bad bases isn't worth your time!" but then again, if Sacred Stones can have Easy mode only cutscenes, it would be interesting to see some hacks try the same with the unit reviews. Probably condensing them to summaries.
Reyson is at a higher level with access to more galdrs. he can fly and has greater movement than rafiel. I find it worth it to give reyson a laguz gem then hes only inactive for one turn then he can hit 4 units safer from further away. and does he have canto?
17:30 - "Woo, I spoiled this game."
Yeah, it's only been out for like... over a decade.
On second thought, holy shit, this game is already 12 years old.
Book
Who can tell me which is the best support for Micaiah?
...Sothe?
Dark magic does actually beat all elemental magic in Radiant dawn. I had fun using Pelleas but he takes ages to get his speed to decent levels. He’s personally one of my favourite characters to use but yes he needs babying and is slow to begin with and frail for ages.
I recently ran fe10 and forced myself to use leonardo. I got him into the tower with all capped stats except for luck, and was STILL disappointed in his performance.
I hate losing units but he was the only unit that I kept killing by accident. Once he got killed by a Pegasus knight in act 3 a few days ago I decided to cut my losses.
@@noahpokeemon6503 i usually only use him enough to master seal him, so that i can give him beastfoe to use crossbows. other than that i completely ignore his existance. XD
4:00 Mangs' Micaiah > Mekkah's Micaiah, and so Mangs is better fire emblem (heroes) player than Mekkah
Fun fact, Laguz royals still get their weapon might when unshifted and gain a massive exp bonus when fighting that way. You can unshift Tibarn and he's still strong enough to kill a weakened unit for like 40 exp. It can be tricky to pull off and he doesn't really need it, but you can get him a couple quick levels that way.
Does anyone know where I can get the ISO?
_Whispers_ "Vimm's Lair..."
_Disapears before the FBI can find me_
At least that's what I use.
Who else is watching this in quarantine
Nice my favorite fire emblem game .
Did Jake take a day off, or did he forget how to make thumbnails?
Mangs forgot how to check our Google Drive folder for the completed thumb. I will not be dragged.
No lie, despite playing through Rd once (my first game... Not a good one to start off on lol) I didn't remember who Meg was when you mentioned her, but after starting a 2nd play through, it hit me, I remember her but I tried using her once and she died instantly, and I just thought " what can she actually do in this game? I don't feel like putting in the effort in keeping her alive, I'll just let her die and continue with zihark". Then I forgot about her entirely until my 2nd play through.
Why did Haar and Jill swap weapon masteries? Jill was more of a Lance User in POR while Haar was a Axe user starting with brave Axe...
Now Jill uses axes and Haar uses Lances in DOR
No? Haar has equal Lance and Axe skills.
I can explain Jill though. Radiant Dawn decided to change the weapon of the default Wyvern Rider to Axe instead of Lance to make them more distinct compared to the Pegasus Knights
Tbf who didn’t use axes on Jill in PoR
Boyd mad underrated, he's a 4* unit. Axes (especially forged hand axes) are just such a good weapon type, and late part 3/ part 4 have so many rout maps that of the units with a weaker start, he's the most worthy of investment. After Ike, Titania, and Haar he's the best unit in the Greil mercenaries (though Shinon and Mia have better starts, they fall behind when enemy phase emblem begins), there's a reason Boyd got the most kills in Chiki's radiant dawn LTC (transfers helped, but aren't as essential in a slower play through)
.
Without transfers that base speed is so bad though and his speed growth is unreliable. If you can get him up to doubling speed he is a killing machine and Warriors/Reavers have some of the best caps in the game, but it requires a lot of luck or heavy investment to get him to that benchmark in a timely matter, and BEXP can't be relied on to boost speed either, as with his lowish bases and high caps it'll take a while for him to cap anything; at absolute minimum it'll require 8 levels to cap HP/Strength/Defense, and 6 to cap Skill where he has a lower growth in. You'll need both the transfer bonus and a speedwing for him to reliably double in a timely matter.
Is there anyway to play radiant dawn without the original console?
You can emulate the game on PC using the Dolphin emulator. There are a lot of resources on RUclips on how to install the app as well as how to download roms for different games.
Who is layvel?
thank you for the master skip list daddy mangs
Rate Black Knight savior of part 1/5
My Radiant Dawn Nephenee capped every stat except luck magic by level 19 the first time I played it.
Blake W even on easy mode I couldnt get her to cap str but she capped everything else🙄
Just started on Radiant Dawn for the first time.. wow it's so sad that none of the first characters are wortrh investing in. Gonna get through this arc as fast as possible I guess.
My Jill almost always caps all stats except luck and magic, with no stat boosters. So good. Edward is either good or eh, Miciah and meg are either really good or worst in the game, no in between
Almost five hours unit reviews. nice. Biorhythm review when?
Map affinity review when?
I just realized once again why PEMN is so important in reviews because in my current (first) Radiant Dawn Playthrough Micaiah maxed out her Defense in her Base Class and when I grinded Fiona up on the boss in her joining chapter she dodged constantly until she was Level 21 xD
But I also gaved her as much Bonus Exp as possible and forged her a weapon with high hitrate before the chapter. (I know it's better to not do that, because only three stats can increase through that method but I only wanted to make her playable since I heard why she is bad and damn under normal circumstances she really is.) I didn't go further because I think she should be useful now. And that's all I want.
Personally I don’t have much of an issue by late game with experience because of all the paragon skills running around but it’s tough to fix bad level ups with bonus XP in maddening since there’s so little. Personally Aran is one of my favorite units because I always seem to get let down by nephenee in the endgame and Aran is able to survive physical hits as good as Marshalls in Sentinel. I always baby him because I go for the Wishblade and I don’t think anyone uses it better than him in my experience.
