- Ignition Assembly Replacement and Diagnosing with symptoms & scanner tool. (BMW 3 series E90/E91/E92/E93) (A0B8 Hall Sensor Fault Code)
Car would remain on even when the key fob was removed. Key fob would come out without having to push it in first. There was an amber key light on the dash as if the key was still in the ignition when the key was removed. Easy fix, ignition assembly replacement DIY.

Great video.. this is literally the only video I can find that gives a thorough before and after explanation 👌.. I also keep my air freshener in the same spot.. thought it was just me 🍻
Simple and straight to the point 👍🏽👍🏽
From what I’ve gathered this happens a lot with E90-92 due to heavy keys the little spring inside the reader itself is very weak and will bend if you have a heavy keyring

Anyone else ever had the key fob stuck in the ignition slot? I've pulled the whole ignition device out with the fob stil stuck in it but scared to take it apart cus I don't wana damage anything. I swear it looks like they set a trap to rip fine little copper wires that'll rip
You’re going to have to take apart the ignition, I suggest replacing it because once you take it apart you’ll have the same issue again, getting stuck.

i have this code also and i cannot start my car. its a e90 07 manuel key stays in with no issues, all of the lights come on but there is no ignition. battery is good, the starter is good, and all of the grounds are good. im stumped did you also experience a no start and no crank with this code ?
Yes, sometimes it wouldn’t start. I would have to keep putting the key in and out until it started. You’ll need to replace it. It’s faulty.
@@armygirl610 thank you for the fast reply. I have ordered this part from the dealership. Just to confirm you had a no crank and no start ? Or did it just stay on when you removed the key ??
