Tattoo shop tattoos never felt genuine. So getting a stick n poke tattoo from a friend in Mexico sounds more real than telling someone I got my tat at the mall.
I can agree however, I don't think the tattoo would have any less value to me personally. The artist spent years perfecting their skill, which is very hard work. You (normally) don't get a tat for the artist, you get it for yourself.
Me, I got one stick&poke and one studio tat, and both experiences were just fine to me. All artists were welcoming and kind, so it really just depends on the artist imho, not where you get the tat done. :)

@@aslannooo216 Well yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's not that one or the other are bad, it's just down to preference and probably the tattoo artist. In my experience both are fine and the value of the tat isn't any lower in any case

Made me cry talking about your dad. I am so scared to lose my dad because I know when I'm a little older he will be gone and he is my best friend.
I’m 28 2kids and I lost my dad last year he was 70 the hardest was my mom she seemed so lost, it will hurt but remember they love you and want you too be happy and do the best you can for your kids or your family.
Kurt, so sorry to hear about your loss. Just from watching your videos it is easy to tell your dad must have been an amazing man to educate you into the man you've become. For you to be as open minded as you are, traveling all around the world, learning different cultures and some of their language really takes a special kind of person. Great video buddy. I lost my father in 2003 at the age of 55 I was 20. I’ve never been the same. Listen it gets better and some days are harder than others, but we got to keep are head up and make them proud. Thanks for your hard work. ✌🏼

Love the story behind your tattoo. I lost my dad in 2013, but we didn't have a great relationship. Luckily we did reconcile before he passed. Tattoo is legit and dude was cool. Cheers!

I recently found your channel and I’ve now watched every video and I ended on this for a reason or may be coincidence but my father recently was also diagnosed with cancer (he is my best friend as well) Just wanted to let you know I really enjoy your perspective and these videos are an escape for me from the constant anxiety and depression you get when a loved one has cancer. Yep, lost your dad too soon. Me too, I was 19 (He had cancer) 2yrs later I spent 6 months on a motorcycle travelling thru Central America.......and another few years with the travel bug. Changed my life. ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE. You're channel has brought back some great memories.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, mate. My Mum died of cancer five years ago. I think the best way to honour your parents is to enjoy yourself and make the most of the platform they've given you, which is what you are doing!

Parent/child relationships vary wildly. Love hearing Kurt say that his pop was the best person he'd ever known and that he was his best friend. Powerful and priceless is such a relationship and the result is a guy like Kurt. No one is perfect of course.
