Absolutely no other reactor has broken down this song the way you just did. Brilliant. I have a whole new appreciation for this wonderful collaboration and you just gained my top reactors list. Thank you.
I’m glad you went through the song twice! I enjoyed watching you get immersed in the guitar motifs and the layering of the music production. Ren takes great care on the production side. And I agree, I love the moment when the song transitions into the guitar chord. I think the song progresses through a romantic encounter, reaches a climax and then provides a beautiful release. And this is the first reaction I’ve watched that has spent time revealing the French translation. It’s beautifully expressive poetry. I love the back and forth between Ren and Romain. This song doesn’t get much love or attention, so thank you for taking the time to walk through it so thoughtfully 💕
"I think the song progresses through a romantic encounter, reaches a climax and then provides a beautiful release." - I agree with you on this! Well put! Thanks.
Thanks Stevie. Glad you enjoyed it. Great that you're learning Welsh! I've found learning another language really helps me understand more about things and the meaning and origins of words and that. Cool stuff.
Ahhh-----I'm driving down the Cote d 'Azur in my convertible . . . chiffon scarf blowing in the wind . . . ( wait. . . am I Audrey Hepburn?) Now I seem to be losing control of the car . . . No, that's just Ren taking over. French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese are Latin based languages, so they share the roots of many words. Thanks, as usual, Izzy!
Fantastic and cool breakdown. The lyrics are next level. And probably the closest Ren has gotten to doing jazz, SO FAR 😄. Excellent reaction, thank u!!
Failed to mention, great reaction. I wish all reactors would familiarize themselves with lyrics. Or have them before them, like you. Living in Canada, a bilingual country, if not entirely a bilingual citizenry, we elect to find translations when helpful. Thanks to a fellow Renegade for her translation.
I love this one. I love hearing Ren also singing in French. Video is a bit weird though. I don't watch the video, a bit, then close my eyes for the singing and music.
Another really good reaction video.... In the early 90s i went on a minibus trip with my girlfriend and some mates to France, we ended up in the town of Le Mans. That evening my gf and i went out and came across a jazz club we spent the evening chilling whilst listening to some amazing musicians.... The music from this song by Romain and Ren has the same feel and sound as that jazz club. Thanks Izzy
They were flatmates for about 5 years. Ren said they never had an argument & called Romain "a French angel." Gorran eventually moved in with them, too.
I am delighted to discover a Ren song I haven't heard before, and with Romain too makes it even better. Thanks so much for this reaction Izzy, I've had a lovely chilled half hour listening to you (and thanks to smolpuppyolove for requesting this and getting you to talk for so long) :)
Damn Izzy! You should be doing readings for the “calm” app. I don’t know why that didn’t occur to me until now. Thanks for doing this for us. Fantastic!👏🥰👍✌️❤️🔥
Thanks Abby! I don't know anything about the calm app, but I'll look into it. I enjoyed doing this one, I'm thinking about maybe doing a series of lyric episodes, where I read some of my favourites and discuss, digress and ponder about stuff.
Great educational reaction! it takes me to a place of cool summer romance. BTW your accent? Do I detect Sutton Coldfield or maybe Solihul? Anyhows I enjoyed this tune of Ren's and your insightful reaction. Thanks Izzy

Top 5 favorite Ren songs, woefully under appreciated. I’m so happy for this wonderful and in depth reaction. 🫶
Side note: As someone who is currently learning Welsh, I agree with Rhys Ifans. My end goal is literally being able to read old Welsh poetry.
Thanks Stevie. Glad you enjoyed it. Great that you're learning Welsh! I've found learning another language really helps me understand more about things and the meaning and origins of words and that. Cool stuff.
Thanks for this Izzy, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to your insightful musings and agree that this is an under appreciated track. 🌟💐

Thanks! Haven't done that one yet, but will hopefully get to it before too long.

NICE!
Thanks Barzo! Cheers for sharing the story too. Sounds great!
This is an entirely epic collaboration and resulting reaction. Izzy has a poet's soul and is the perfect person to provide this reaction.
Thanks Holly!!
Ren and Romain were roommates for a while during Covid lock down.
They were flatmates for about 5 years. Ren said they never had an argument & called Romain "a French angel." Gorran eventually moved in with them, too.
Izzy, You are one of my favourite reactors to Ren's music! Thoughtful and competent! And I'm in love with the way You read poetry!
Thanks! Lovely of you to say!
❤❤❤❤

Lilies represent sensual relaxation...?
Could be.
