Loved it. Thank you for doing this. I've seen it done with the cricit many times. Wish there were more scan n cut videos using other features of the scan n cut. I would like a video on using the foiling feature. Thanks Courtney for this video, love all your videos on the snc.
As always Courtney next level. I'm always learning something new from watching your videos, the sky is the limit with the SNC! Thank you so much for being such an awesome teacher, very easy to follow and learn, and no fear, LOL!
My research indicates that Scorch Marker Wood burning Pen Tool is non-toxic, so the gel on the vinyl should be safe to touch. Using the tools keeps you from transferring it onto unwanted places on your project.
😊HI, I just found ur channel. I must say it was satisfying waiting for the end results. I'm new to the scan and cut world, but I'm such a dummy. I'm learning, tho. Thank you for all you do.
Hi Julie Ann. I didn't seal mine because it's going to be used as decoration and not touched much. If I wanted to use it as a practical tray then I would highly suggest sealing it. - Courtney
Hey Courtney. do you think you can do a lesson on how to use a photo in artspiria please? I want to use my daughter pictures but I don’t know how to convert it to embroidery or cut file.
Hi Carol. Glad you found us, we love newbies. The low tack mat is the made for paper since it is the least sticky mat. The tan mat is best for fabric. It's the most sticky mat. - Courtney
Not sure i completely understand. Was the pink color after you used the pen and before you used the heat gun the pink vinyl or was it the wood that turned to pink. I hope that made sense.
Hi I’m getting ready to purchase a scan n cut machine either the SDX125e or the SDX230Di. I would like some help deciding. The only reason I’m concerning the SDX230Di is because of Disney. I really like Disney. What I don’t know is if the Disney images are exclusive to that machine or if I can purchase them at a later date. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
My favorite models are the SDX325 and the SDX330 which are the newest models that have come out. Their scanner is better than the previous models. The SDX330 has Disney but you can always purchase Disney designs later. They aren't the exact same designs that come on the machine but close. The SDX325 is the same as the SDX330 but no design or Rotary blade. The Rotary blade can be purchased separately. I hope that helps let me know if you have any questions. - Courtney
Hi Hi Courtney I was wondering is it ok for other content creators to to ScanNCut Tutorial's if they are not part of Brother or AllBrands? 💙 P.S love your Vids Smilez Stay Wickid love and keep up the good work hun
Hi! You do not have to be Allbrands or Brother to make a video on the ScanNCut. The more people creating the better in my book. Happy crafting. - Courtney
HELP! IV CUT VINYL both htv and TV. But not im try to layer. I got a free svg file from Design Bundle its a sunflower. When I put it on the canvasworkspace to work with the colors I have just sunflower and outline. Do I cut both 🤔. ? I want sunflower yellow and the outline black.. do I just layer over the top.??? I don't know what I'm suppose to do. Please help. Thank you
Hi, you might want to look into learning the Canvas Workspace software. There is an on-line version and a version that is downloaded onto your computer. I took 2 classes on the Canvas Workspace software offered by "The Gentleman Crafter" on Udemy for $20. He also has RUclips videos. ruclips.net/video/IpFarJmKfDQ/видео.html
The "short" answer is that you need to separate the layers in Canvas Workspace and cut each color out separately and layer the design together. The layering feature is only available in the Canvas Workspace software that you download to your computer. "Create with Sue" has a good video on how to separate the layers and group the objects together to cut the layers out separately. ruclips.net/video/Qr8J33nRMX4/видео.html

Very cool project! After it is finished, should it be sealed with something like a polyurethane? Would make great Christmas ornaments.
Hi Julie Ann. I didn't seal mine because it's going to be used as decoration and not touched much. If I wanted to use it as a practical tray then I would highly suggest sealing it. - Courtney
Great technique!
Thank you!
You can use contact paper instead of vinyl, it's cheaper. Can also use clear contact paper instead of transfer tape.
As long as it gives a strong seal so nothing sneaks under when applying the torch pen. - Courtney
Hi. That’s amazing work. Should I look for vinyl with different colors or the color doesn’t matter?? Thanks
Hi Noni. No the color doesn't matter since it's only on to be a template. - Courtney
Thats very cool!
Thank you! Please subscribe for more in the future!.
The image on RUclips has you showing a sign the reads "Word Burning" not "Wood Burning".
Enjoyed video.
Thank you Rhonda! I will be firing the editors ... and then rehiring them because it was me this time. - Courtney
Hey Courtney. do you think you can do a lesson on how to use a photo in artspiria please? I want to use my daughter pictures but I don’t know how to convert it to embroidery or cut file.
Why is it pink? Is that vinyl or the torch pen colour ?
very neat, but I was really hoping for some fire at the end, lol.
Being a newbie can you use the low tack mat for fabric? ❤
Hi Carol. Glad you found us, we love newbies. The low tack mat is the made for paper since it is the least sticky mat. The tan mat is best for fabric. It's the most sticky mat. - Courtney
We could do this as a stencil and paint also correct? Would the vinyl still come off?
Hi Prudence. Yes you would use the vinyl as a template to paint. - Courtney
Why use vinyl instead of making a stencil ? Cleaner for the ink?
What brand Torch Pen and heat gun did you use?
Hi Julie Ann. I used the Scorch Marker Pro and a Ryobi heat gun - Courtney
Not sure i completely understand. Was the pink color after you used the pen and before you used the heat gun the pink vinyl or was it the wood that turned to pink. I hope that made sense.
